Man, this episode is kinda crazy with the return of zombies. However, seeing that zombie girl Mito back is a delight.

Not going to lie, I think the way this episode illustrated its world location is probably the most colorful and unique they've done this season. Despite everything, I also loved seeing Shizuru's confidence this episode.

That was the most useless station security in the history of anime, lol. But anyway, as one would predict, it all goes down to that one 7G button that turned the world into this mess to begin with.

I am really intrigued in how this whole thing gonna end next week.

Well they got close to the end but it was obvious more would happen.
It was nice to see the zombies again with them going into the mall it was nice of them to help out.
Youka needs more help tho for her to recognise her friends again, hopefully they will manage to save her and do something about that nasty guy.
The question is how the world will be ones it returns the 7g incident will probably have some lasting effects.

It was great seeing Mito and the Zombies return to help the girls try and rescue Youka and turn the world back to how it was. This series has just been fantastic I simply can't wait to see what happens in the finale.

Finally, the girls arrive in Ikebukuro, though a crash-landing of a stop and guards ready to stop them, there's no stopping them now.

Yoka managing to acclimate herself for a moment, though them having been found out by the human Pochi and then the Witch Queen herself, the tables almost start to turn by triggering the power of 7G. Too bad that this Yoka is too brainwashed to the point that she doesn't remember anything, and with the touch fo Pochi (the dog), Yoka gets triggered and reverts to a brainwashing program, thereby making her lose control if she tries to remember anything about Shizuru and the girls. I'm not sure if anyone knew that Pontaro's servant is actually a nameless crow since Episode 1 who accompanied them all the way, but the girls to retreat and then get a connection to both Zenjiro and Makoto through bitter melon thanks to Morse code, it all rests on the 7G button that they've overlooked all this while that'll decide the winner of this rather esper journey.

Turning the world back to normal takes the crucial press of that illusive button, and the girls gain an unexpected ally through Kuroki and her zombie minions, who traversed through Ikebukuro and sensed the button. Shizuru feeling depressed that Yoka ghosted her, it's practically her only chance to make up and turn things to their advantage with the zombies before Poison Pontaro does.

It's a frantic mayhem of good vs. evil to reach the button, and as it's being pressed...nothing changes, and Poison Pontaro makes it out of Ikebukuro with the brainwashed Yoka.

Well, what the hell now? If pressing the button does not work, what does!? The finale is so close, yet so far.

What an incredible episode man, honestly this anime is the most surprising of the season, I started watching it due to the opening I thought it was very beautiful and the music was very cool and I fell in love with the anime, the city is beautiful, I'm incredibly excited, and so are my friends in theory, fighting each other is great, because clearly she doesn't remember anything, she feels something, but unfortunately it's nothing more than vague memories, the fight between the friends against the security guard pochi was really cool, and in the end this cliffhanger for the end of the anime If her friends will be able to go after her and bring the world and Yoko Chan back, wonderful man, this anime is a shame it's ending but it's an incredible surprise of the season.

I highly doubt that will happen, it must be said. It's an original series with such a wacky and unique premise that it's probably going to join the pile of one season originals which come out of nowhere, leave their crazy and eccentric mark on the world, and are then never heard from again.

@MrHunterxHunter I really love this anime, but not sure a second season would bring aything to it. Supposing we get back to the status quo before 7G at the end of the upcoming episode, what would be left to tell ? A couple OVAs maybe. A well-rounded series overall !

As expected their first meeting/reunion didn't go well. The shock on Pochi's face when Yoka didn't recognise him, poor dog. Just pushing the button should have reversed the 7g but it didn't. Guess they gotta get back Yoka to normal to turn things back. Good to see Kuroki again.

Episode 11: Maybe She’s a Lost Cause…
Don’t like the sound of that, but there’s bound to be a happy ending, right?

Shizuru was arriving hot and fast into Ikebukuro [SI 1], unfortunately resulting in the leading carriage plunging straight into the bay platform. Luckily they were able to escape under the power of the trailing carriage despite it being decently lodged in there, but I’m getting ahead of myself at this point.

Aside from the owl people both at the crossing and at the station, that must be one of the weakest attack forces if one of their people can be easily attacked by Pochi-san. On the flip side, I really hope that the bald man (who I’ll call 47 at this point) turns on Pontaro because, let’s be honest, who in their right mind would willingly continue to associate with a crazy person like him? And boy did those years of isolation coupled with the effects of her pressing the 7G button must have broken Yōka; let’s see how the girls will be able to bring her back since there seems to be a force that’s preventing her old self from returning.

Back on the train and back in Shiinamachi [SI 2], the girls are able to hear Makoto-sensei and Zenjiro from all the way back in Agano through a bitter melon telephone rather than having to communicate with track morse code–this would’ve been abnormal for some reasons, but the whole series is built off weirdness due to 7G, so this was one of the least surprising discoveries. Through this communication, apparently its pretty easy to reverse the effects of 7G by just pressing the button, but because of dramatic irony, the girls will have to determine where the button is by themselves. Luckily, Kurorin is back and her hoard has an interesting way of sensing where the button is, although inadvertently attacking Shizuru when discussing their plans.

Inching closer towards the final episode next week, everything is set for an entertaining finale. Although the Kurorin and Akira were able to press the button, it looks like that might not be it–it might have to be Yōka to press the button herself if they want to return to normal. It’s been an entertaining and suspenseful train ride thus far, so let’s see how they’ll wrap this story up.

Welcome to Ikebukuro. Last stop

So the button worked that easily, I am surprised... I thought it wouldn't do. Their reunion had everything to be pleasant and happy in the right occasion. Mito showed up in the best time, and her reasons make sense in the story so it's not out of nowhere. Now, everything is pointing to the conclusion. May Yoka be saved.

What useless guards those were. One gets pushed down by Pocchi dog and they just stop trying to apprehend them, like what?? Lmao.

I doubt Zenjiro's wrong when it comes to whole 7G button pressing thing, but the fact it didn't really do much does get me worried. But anyways, looks like it's a gonna be a train race most likely to get to Youka and get her back.

Only one episode of peak left man this show has been one of the most refreshing takes in the medium and I’ll be sad to see it go.

The girls are finally in Ikebukuro and face to face with Yoka for the first time in ages.. and of course she doesn’t know who the hell they are. Felt especially bad for Pochi who pointed out his old master was in the room and then she not only doesn’t know who he is, but has even given the big bodyguard Pochi’s name 😢

Mito and the zombies are back! They were probably my fave town/stop the girls went thru on the way to Ikebukuro so it’s nice seeing them. I love how the zombies almost got controlled by the lingerie mannequins in the department store so Mito had to hide them lmao. “There’s only one way to get rid of them, I’m just looking!” Nah facts man. Hate when you go in a shop and get swarmed by employees, let me browse in peace lol.

Shizuru having some mixed martial arts in her bag was a surprise, she held her own against Pochi for a while. But that size difference was just too much. Even with Reimi helping it wasn’t enough. The 7G button being a dud and not actually doing anything isn’t a shock. It’s been built up for a while now that Yoka’s psyche is what’s driving everything and the only way to return things to normal is to get thru to Yoka..

It’s gonna be an action packed finale and I can’t believe there’s only one episode left! Let’s hope they stick the landing

So pressing the button didn't seem to do much as I thought it would've reversed what it had done. I'm thinking that Yoka either has to press the button herself or the girls will need to jog Yoka's memory and get her out of the trance she's in as it almost seemed to work when they met earlier.

I mean if it was as easy as pushing a button and reverting things to how they were, this show wouldn't be this show. That much we've understood after eleven weeks.

By the way, I kind of want this to have a conclusive end, which doesn't necessarily need to be a happy one, but something which would sit well with the wacky premise of this show.

It's clear that the only way to repair the damage caused by the 7G is for Yoka to be the one to press the button.

I see parallels between Pontaro and Yoka. Both had very ambitious dreams (7G for Pontaro, space for Yoka), with someone close to them trying to dissuade them from pursuing those dreams (Zenjiro because the 7G was dangerous technology, Shizuru because she thought Yoka's dreams were unrealistic).

Both evade reality, deny the bad, and run from their problems, with Pontaro denying the chaos caused by the 7G and Yoka having lost her memories and using the powers of the 7G to change everything she doesn't like on a whim.

And now that their problems have caught up with them, the only thing they can do is run.

Really intense episode, i like Pochi's reaction upon seeing Pochi-san (the dog)... I think the reason why the button didn't work when pressed is because it haa to be Yoka who should press it and she should want to turn things back to normal in order for it to work.

It started with Yoka, it might also end with Yoka.

Oh man, I've never been this excited for an ending in a long time. This show's been one of the best of the season, way better than the supposed "peak" shows like Tensura or Mushoku Tensei (though the latter has been getting better). It had its dumb moments, but the sheer creativity of its storytelling is unmatched so far.

Let's hope they stick the landing. I'm expecting a neatly wrapped up happy ending where the world goes back to normal, but considering how subversive this show's been, I'm hoping for an unexpected ending.

And I know this isn't the first time we've seen him, but it's so weird hearing Kazuya Nakai's voice for Pochi (the man, not the dog). All I hear is Zoro pretending to be a high schooler's dog turned human.

I was rewatching the OP, and I realize that most of it was a straightforward summary of the story. It starts off with Yoka pressing the 7G button (and also foreshadowing that the world is remade in her image, zooming out from her eye), the girls in Agano, then the girls hanging out on the train, then brief glimpses at the main stations (mushrooms, zombies, miniature town, anime world). It ends with Yoka and Shizuru floating in space, reaching out to each other.

Now I'm leaning towards the ending being that Yoka and Shizuru reunite, but at the cost of the world being destroyed. Give it a nice Evangelion ending, which we haven't had in a while.

Besides, what does "undoing 7G" even mean here? The damage to the world has already been done; everything outside of the Seibu Ikebukuro line doesn't exist anymore, and countless people have died within the two years since 7G was activated (side note: there's a LOT of deaths in this show lol). Unless it's a literal reset button that turns back time, the old world and the new world can't be reconciled.

'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

Nice to see the queen of the zombies again. Convenient that the world seems to allow wandering zombies or the guy in the swan boat to get to places just as fast as the girls in the train.

Wonder how far they'll need to chase Youka and Pontaro to catch up. Might help jog Youka's memory if they got all the way back to Agano, but that seems a little far, unless they find something like the other route the swan boat guy went through.

i've really liked this anime so far, but the amount of things that have still gone unexplained is baffling. i have no clue how they're gonna make it all fall in to place with only one episode left.

or, even worse, they might just chock everything up to "yeah the button did it" and not actually explain anything in a deeper way. that'd be super disappointing
