| This episode had so many classic school tropes but I enjoyed it for the cooking segments and character chemistry. Looks like there's also a school festival event going on. It was also fun seeing Hori's inner thoughts and her activities at school from her perspective. It's fairly interesting to see a character like her react and behave as she would like a real person. |

| Well, the preparation for the sports festival is in full swing, and everyone feels the pinch, more so for both Miyamura and Sengoku, coming out after the pool episode. Even Sakura also wants out from the sports festival after last year's flailing since she doesn't want Ishikawa to see her clumsy self. And even if Miyamura isn't so much of an athletic guy, having Hori around is a surprising motivator to him participating in the sports festival. Sakura, fearing that she'll mess up the same as last year, Yoshikawa comes around to help her, even if they are from different teams. But if there is one thing that the Sengoku-Remi couple are not good at, it's their last cooking class with Sakura being their mother to supervise them, and the couple go so wrecking-ball hard that Sakura freaks out left and right, even creating something simple as curry rice. The compliment that Sakura will be a good boyfriend material. The sports day T-shirts have arrived, and Yoshikawa snaps at everyone requesting their sizes. Though Hori seems pumped by her cheer practice, seeing Miyamura converse with a fellow girl classmate who forgot her textbook, Hori is monstrously murderously jealous, which Ishikawa feels the terrors. Yoshikawa going with both Miyamura and Ishikawa on the sports day student council meeting, and Hori is left to her own devices painting signs, which Mizouchi comes to lend her his blazer, and Miyamura feels the jealousy to trade it for his jacket, though Mizuochi comes back to get his blazer back from her. Well, a tit-for-tat exchange. The Sports Festival mini-arc is next! |

| A sports festival this time, though I always had this idea that they already covered this part back in the original. Anyways, for people like Miyamura it’s a damn new thing and something they’re looking forward to but then there are people like Sengoku and Sakura, praying with everything they had just so the D-Day never comes lol. Though hey for Sakura, it’s about her not looking uncool in front of his crush, Ishikawa. But we know what already happened in the original, so… :( Also yes, being the couple they’re Hori gets jealous if a being of an opposite gender does interact with Miyamura… normal, we know but that’s kind of true for Miyamura as well. Happy times in the end, but guess we’ll have the main thing next episode. By the way it’s a good thing they gave Sakura a bit more time, after almost all of her chapters were skipped back then. |

| Another side story and this time we're cooking and we're in a sports festival! This episode continues the left out from the manga stories and we're cooking! Yeah, no one is good at cooking eh? We focus on Sakura, Sengoku and Remi and let's just say as much as Sengoku and Remi love each other and both are good at loving each other, yeah neither of them are good at cooking. This episode gave me some chuckles and Sengoku being a literal idiot will never get old and Sakura is bold for her statement of both of them marrying her lmao that was funny. One of the notable enjoyments of this episode is its ability to capture the feel of the original Horimiya series, translating it seamlessly into this spin-off. The chemistry between the characters remains a highlight, as their interactions are filled with warmth, humor, and genuine affection. The dynamics between our main characters, as well as the supporting cast, continues to be a joy to watch. As a spin-off series, this episode builds upon and appeals fan base and their familiarity with the characters and their relationships. While it may not provide a new entry point for new viewers, fans of the original series will find joy in revisiting these beloved characters and exploring their lives in greater detail. Once again, Horimiya continues to deliver the heartwarming and relatable storytelling that fans of the original series adore. With its well-developed characters, engaging relationships, and delightful humor, this spin-off maintains the spirit and charm of Horimiya while offering new insights and moments to cherish. |

| Well looks like not everyone was looking forward to the sports event but they where preparing anyway. The cooking part was hilarious but i feel sorry for Sakura it was very hard on her. |

| Sports day is always a bundle of joy thats for sure. The OP is just soo good though. Amusing in how popular the rain dance becomes when sports day draws near. Yuki stepping in to help Sakura was nice of her. Remi and Sengoku are literal disasters when cooking is concerned. Angry Hori sure is a terrifying being. Still it was nice seeing Miyamura and Hori be equal though in that last part. |

| Finally best girl Sakura gets some shine. I missed her sm. Smart, can cook, promises to marry both her friends 😂 what can’t this girl do. Really wanna see her as a cheerleader at the festival. The hori and miyamura jealousy skit was cute. The spin off has done a good job of maintaining that original feel from the series. Warm and dynamic relationships between the characters and a genuine sense friendship. |

| Lots of Sakura in this episode, and I’m glad there was because I forgot just how great she is. Her being taught how to be a cheerleader by Yoshioka was a sweet moment, now I’m anticipating her performance in the sports festival more than the sports lol. And I also really enjoyed her bits in the cooking class with Sengoku and Remi, Sakura pretty much had to take care of them like children the whole time lol, and it was also nice of her saying she’d marry the both of them, also a funny thing to imagine actually happening lol. And we got another nice Hori and Miyamura bit where we witnessed the two of them get jealous, it was definitely a nice contrast of situations, and Hori also realized how easy it is to mess up painting but thankfully Miyamura was there to cover for her lol. |
| Honestly it's kind of irking how activities to participate in the cultural festival are like compulsory for some, especially when they have no choice nor enthusiasm.. Remi and Sengoku struggling to make a curry.. Well I accept a gooey curry but a soupy rice? 💩 Sakura is definitely going to make a great wife but season 1 didn't really handle her well.. she needs to find someone in the same league as her. Hori and Miyamura is pretty much jealous at each other. |
| I'm so happy Sakura is getting more screen time, her outcome in the main anime left me so sad. This girl is indeed, boyfriend material. Keep Sengoku and Remi away from the kitchen for a minimum of 20 feet.. The sports festival is coming closer and closer, I'm super excited to see it get animated after reading it in the manga! Hori's smile at the end of the jealousy skit was so damn cute. See you all next saturday, horimiya saturday as it is. |

| So far, so good! I remember this arc from the manga so well, and I'm just glad to see it in anime format now. I feel like some parts of it were covered earlier but this is a more comprehensive adaption of it, for sure. Remi and the Pres in the kitchen are too good comedic value, xD. But hey, Kouno's serious boyfriend material! |

| Miyamura was truly a real gentleman to let Hori-san borrow his sweater in order to keep herself warmer than the blazer that Mizouchi gave to her instead. Also, I'm surprised when Miyamura got jealous for the first time as well. It is an 8/10 rating for this episode. |

| hello stranger here are my thoughts on this episode of horimiya piece was slightly disappointed because wanted miyamura to say he was in his period again i find it very funny well this was mostly a prequal to the upcoming sports festival event but i also like the short lived jealousy arc like always edit i intentianally made this at the 50 forum so i can be seen by a lot of PEOPLE now that was eye catching wasn't it also here is a second |
