Heh, seeing Maou speaking English is kinda amusing. He dealt that in the most Maou way possible by going into his so-called 'staff mode'.

I have to admit that Suzuno is quite sharp about some characters, in particular Chiho. With all the events building into this episode, it looks like a buildup into the finale. I honestly felt bad for Chiho for getting caught into all this, and hopefully she gets better soon.

The Devil and his companions Ashiya and Suzuno continue on their search to buy a TV, while Rika is a companion that knows her way around to help be their decision maker.

But before the crash course on TV (because 4K is the new standard), treating them to a ramen that's dirt cheap is almost to them like a miracle. And conversing in acceptable Engrish with the foreign guy with an afro that demands a fork, it's really like Maou's usual staff mode, but of course, he is yet another Ente Isla mainstay whose identity is a mystery.

But continuing on, it's clearly a date for both Rika and Ashiya while Maou and Suzuno were just 3rd parties in this affair, be it buying electronics like TV and a phone. But in the good riddance of feelings, Rika shouldn't get too involved, and unfortunately, this is one of those times.

For Emi, tracing the Shard of Yesod to find her mother, and instead, coincidentally met with Chiho's mom, who brought her to the hospital and saw her lying in a coma due to inhaling high toxic magic that makes her one and equal with Raguel the Watcher's
celestial sonar pulse explosion to screw the angels with a Fall for neglect of duty, using outdated LCD technology to transmit information.

On top of everything so far, Raguel planning yet another calamity, and Lailah truly living on Earth as a human bestowing the angels' accessories to Chiho,
I can't even imagine how the ending will be like now at this state.

Simple tv shopping turned into magical medical coma investigation. Maou, Ashiya, Suzuno and Rika all going to shop for TVs was nice. Ashiya inviting along Rika since she would know more about Japanese appliances than any of them not being from earth would. We knew from before that Rika has a crush on Ashiya which made this even better. Her trying to keep it together with Ashiya so close. Maou even asking her point blank if she likes Ashiya. Things were going so well until those TVs screens exploded. A new angel appearing I didn't expect for there to be more. But since Gabriel did fail a new angel must've been sent in. Introducing this right before the season ends is interesting so unless there's a quick resolution to this or another season planned idk how things are gonna go. Chiho suddenly falls into this coma off screen between episodes like what. Kinda hoping things can be resolved fast and clean and this season can end on a high note

Of course no one would understand english, because we talking about anime here, and Japan is the only country in that world lol. Though I always like how big of deal it is to speak English there.

Liked how obvious Suzuki made it look like she has feelings for Ashiya, that even someone as dense as Maou noticed lol. Anyways with the whole watcher thing getting out of hands, honestly curious how they will wrap this up next time.

In the end, laihla said that she would be the mother of a Dáat baby or something like that, but I don't know if she was referring to chiho or emilia? And chiho is married with who?

That ramen place sure looked nice and cheap as well. Though clearly still too expensive for Maou. Still i never seen someone be that serious going tv shopping though. You would think he's inspecting troops in prep for a war. But Bell's concerns about Rika's crush were correct. Having one more human get involved is just way to risky. Poor Chi chan though being put into that state. But the watcher is the one charged with dealing with angels that break the rules huh. But despite the odds facing them its nice seeing the team step up to find and punish the watcher for the harm he did to Chi chan and the tv's. This hunt should be most interesting.

The TV shopping adventure was fun, Suzuki got to have her moments with Ashiya and Maou got slugged by Suzuno lol, but now the new threat that Gabriel warned about is causing TVs to explode and also put Chiho in a coma, that’s rough but I’m excited to see the gang take down the Watcher, hearing that classic ost at the end definitely hypes you up. And also that engrish bit was great lol, it does make sense that Maou would know some English because of his job and it was funny to see him use it here lol.

We got one week left, it’s been a fun Season 2. It has its issues but I’ve personally enjoyed it a lot and it’s been really nice seeing these classic characters in action again, I hope they continue on after this season and go for a full adaptation.

Story wise a good episode but the characters still acting as if they are highschoolers was pretty cringe to watch.

Did not expect Chiho to be in coma and waht's with her being able to have magic bullshit? Are they are they trying to make so that Chiho and Maou can really get together and shit?

3/5.

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.

Maou speaking English to the annoyed customer of the udon restaurant was something I wasn't expecting, but while some words were pronounced in a way that made me laugh a bit, the VA's did a decent job of it. =)

The episode itself had cute moments with Suzuki dolling herself up for the shopping trip just to make her look more pretty for Ashiya, which didn't go unnoticed by Maou and Suzuno. As for Chiho, she was caught up in a magic blast that were making many TV's in the area explode, so she's sadly in a coma. Either way, the group were able to pinpoint who's responsible for this, so I expect Raguel to get his deserved beating next week.

Finally, the long awaited second part to the epic television buying arc -- and, tragically, it ended in failure for the sake of pushing plot. Man, I was really looking forward to some much needed humor.

It looks like Humanity is starting to get more involved in the antics of Devils and Angels now. But, that being said, I feel like we aren't really building towards anything in particular at this point. It almost feels like a lot of one-shots and side stories strung together. Except all of it is trying to be more dramatic than amusing. So, I'm having a hard time staying invested. I'm not sure if I'd pick up season three if it ever got greenlit.

I was honestly just cringing/laughing at the part when they started speaking English because I'm so used to listening to JP actors just speaking Japanese throughout even though there are some rare occasions where in anime I've watched before, they do haha And when he asked for a fork, it reminded me of my mom whenever we go out to eat Japanese food and she can't use chopsticks so she's always asking for other utensils.

Other than that, it was an OK episode. Not bad nor good either. Since we're nearing the end of this season, I'm kinda disappointed about how the anime is turning out, it doesn't feel the same as the one in the first season imo it's probably because it's been so long since I've watched it back in middle school but now I'm an adult who already graduated from college and working full-time job ;;

I don't know what is this show even trying to do anymore. In one scene, it's trying to advance the story forward by exploring the identity of Emilia's mother, but in another, we watch Maou and his friends... uh, trying to buy a TV.

I'm sad that Chiho was left in a coma, but let's face it, that only happen because:
1. she needs to be included in the story somehow
2. Maou needs to partake in the story again.

After 11 episodes, Maou and his friends have become way too reactive for their own good. Solving the mysteries of the season (Emilia's mother, the angels, the reason why Maou started his war in the first place) never feels like an imperative goal for the characters, who more than happy to just living as normally as possible until an antagonist (whether it's an angel or a demon) literally has to enter the story and force the main characters to do something, anything, to justify their positions as main characters.

That said, I will credit where credit is due: the comedy was kept to a minimum in this episode. Don't get me wrong, I like comedy as much as the next guy, but the show makes the critical mistake of believing comedy to be its biggest strength, when in reality, it brings the story to a jarring halt. This episode made the right decision by keeping the comedy to a minimum and trying to push the story forward, but with the season reaching the endgame, I don't know if it will do any good in the end.

Even if the season finale is good, does that really justify subjecting your viewers to 11 episodes that move the story at a painfully slow pace and indulge in character moments that don't really say anything new about the characters? I personally don't think so.

Interesting...

Firstly as we know, Rika misinterpreted the situation as a one on one date. I'm surprised that Mao can one, speak Spanish but two, he was instantly able to tell that Rika is in love with Ashiya.

Things instantly turn south however when the LCDs in TVs are going out and apparently, Chiho is vulnerable to the sonar attacks from the Watcher.

I'm looking forward to see what transpires in the next episode.
