| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Veteran red blood cells still being hard on the newbies as usual. It's survival of the fittest in this *black* body. But, everybody needs a break sometimes. Veterans show the newbies an... interesting place. Time to get drunk! While it may seem like the liver is an easy place to work, there's no job that's easy in this *black* body. RIP Veteran red blood cell even died, good thing he died with a smile on his face. The newbie red blood cells being hungover at the end was pretty funny lol. What a scary aura  |

| lmao the new cells getting drunk off of sprinkles of alcohol. the liver actually looks like a nice place ngl, like theres even a nice city and a nightclub there too. kinda sad that even the cells inside the body needs use alcohol/drugs to cope though. old red blood cell's death was pretty unexpected; also, i dont remember seeing any old-looking cells in the original series, maybe its cause the body is healthy or something? story widens quite a bit here too, mc seems like he's very determined so maybe he might do something to save the body, lots of ways this story could go. i personally find this setting more interesting then the original. more neutro-waifuls introduced too |
| The rough life of AA2153 and the new RBC rookies continue... Hearing the OP for the 1st time with visuals, it's really good for a "Darker Than Black" image of Cells at Work. Cheery ED, wasn't expecting that. Mamiko Noto doing the narration for the main series, and it's the villain madman himself, Kenjiro Tsuda for this spin-off, which sounds as memorable. Alcohol, liver and pride. From being messengers of oxygen to Hepatocyte babes in the liver, it's as if the ADH enzyme is like alcohol itself: a strong "detox" drug substance, and having ALDH, the metabolic enzyme to break things down. Crude... Thank God there's a veteran RBC geezer around for AA2153's motivation. Conservative, but kind and thoughtful. Sad that he has to pass away just like that and being taken to the Kupffer Cell, sending the rookie youngsters on their way. Rest well from that hangover, rookie RBCs. Did I expect to like this more than the main series? WELL HELL YES NOW. |

Alr in love with this WBC squad, it's arguably even cooler than the main series' one. and also the 2 girls can really talk hahaha. I judged the gramps and especially the hepatocytes wrong.... they are all fighting with their best powers even tho it hurts them the most, was really sad seeing gramps passed, but he is happy till the last minute, just like the previous episode's senpai. And oops RBC got caught in the end there, but WBC is just too cool, would like to see her jealous on blush in the future tho, would be so cute I bet ya.  |

| I love the Neutrophil trio, they are so sexy and funny. Even the part when they ate the bacteria didn't stopped them from being charming, and I hate vore. The death of the old RBC was very sad, but, tbh, he got the best death one can have in that body, surrounded by hot hepatocytes girls and passing away peacefully. Others are not that lucky and end having violent deaths instead. Aikotoba said: In the manga she actually gets a bit jealous when she sees main Red Blood Cell with the Hepatocyte. | Talk about lazy seniors. Pretty catchy opening heartwarming but also dramatic. The immune cells in this body sure are stark contrasts to the ones in the main series though. I guess the state of the body has made them rather twitchy. Nice to see 1212 and 8787 make their grand entrance to the series. Wow to think that the liver will actually be a entertainment district. So the Hepatocyte here are hostesses huh. Given the deaths that he has seen and the stress that comes from overwork its not surprising that RB cell would be unable to relax that easily. But the insight into how much the Hepatocyte's are suffering yet still managing to soldier on sure proved to be an effective counter. The passing of the elder RB cell though sure was sad. Overall an interesting ep that while doing well in educating us via the intro of new cells also did well to show just how tough the life of a cell can be via the usage of the life cycle of the Red Blood cells. |

Next episode looks interesting ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) It's also much better how this series seems to have already explored and explained more areas of the body than the original, which seemed to focus way to much on pathogens and physical trauma. I look forward to see how black explores other organs like lungs, heart and maybe even brain. |

| Ah, they didn't really translate the pun. They translated 抜く as detox, which is fine, but it's usually is a double entendre in Japanese for sexual release/rubbing one out. That's clearly what they were going for here. |
| red blood cell-san T_T I feel weird watching this anime. Like all of this can be happening inside of me while I'm watching the episode. I should take better care of my body. I don't drink or smoke and the worst I do is lack of exercise and going to bed late but I feel terrible. |

| This chapter was a good learning experience, I have suffered from canker sores and now I know they were due to stress, a little weird that the gum won't kill the good cells, but I'm not a doctor lol. With the alcohol, that it decomposes into an even more toxic cell ... poor of those who drink excessively, if you who read this is one of them, moderate Good chapters that reflect a life that is a reality for many people, but it does not mean that it is good and that it is normal |

| Macrophage almost killed our mc there XD, chill hottie. I know you are overworked but dun try to kill other blood cells. Also some other white blood cells appear and they are major hotties too. Thou them eating that bacteria was kinda funny. That pink hair Hepatocyte was such a sweety, really liked her and that kiss was sweet too. RIP gramps Sekkekkyu, that moment was touching. |

| I didn't recognize it was Kumano voicing liver cell. Who knew it was such a naughty organ. It made me all kinds of confused and next is already something almost as naughty as unprotected hand holding. |

| Here I thought that the Macrophages were intimidating enough in the main series, but here, they're one small step away from becoming a bloody psychopath, if they haven't become one already! O_O Once again, this episode was really good, as it delved into the effects of mouth ulcers, which did lead to the long-haired WBC appearing again, but along with her two companions. All three of them are hot, I must say! XD The second half of the episode introduced us to what the liver looked like in this body, as our hapless RBC gets to enjoy the qualities that the place has to offer. Despite all the glitz and glamour, everyone here is also feeling the strain and stress of simply doing their everyday job, which made RBC regret his earlier outburst. Not just that, but the old RBC that gave our main character some important lessons sadly passed away. At least he died with a smile on his face, but it was a really sad scene, though. =( Either way, the next episode is going to be VERY interesting, if you know what I mean... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) |

| With the heavy drinking, smoking, bad diet, sleep deprivation and (based on the next episode preview) sex, I think it would be a good bet that the body is a college student. Well, I would think that if it wasn’t for the last episode where it said he hadn’t smoked for 10 years, meaning he would’ve had to been a heavy smoker sometime between the ages of 8 and 12. A little unusual that someone would start that young and quit at 12. |
