So they're still trying to change the future.

Well, it won't be easy but I have hopes. Kaori is pretty daring just telling Yui about her feelings for Sou. Oh boy, here comes the drama. Poor Yui.

I don't really care about animation quality (which is not that bad by the way, I like this kind of animation).
Ok that outfit mistake... But you know, I didn't see it. But I don't think that it is mistake.
THIS SHOW IS UNDERRATED AS HELL! for me top 3 of this season.

It's funny how exactly what I didn't want to happen happened. Weeks ago I said saving Kaori would be a hollow victory if it meant Sou ended up loving Yui instead, and I still feel this way. The show sets you up to root for the intial pairing and then goes this route. It's...pretty manipulative huh? Regardless of how it ends I'm officially tired of this now though. Let's just finish this up already...

Poor Yui... and freaking hell I couldn't see what the problem was with that scene since I thought it had something to do with the door or Airi XD... only once I looked at Yui I noticed her miraculous dress change colors XD.

So I guess this is taking some rules from the Steins;Gate guide to time travel, in that it seems that, no matter what happens, Kaori will end up in her permanent coma in the end.
Other than that, this episode took an entirely different path to the one that I was expecting it to take. I'm surprised that Sou has ended up falling for Yui, but I wonder how he will feel after Yui tells him everything, seeing as it seems like the ending of this episode was leading to that eventuality.

I don't want to sound like a douche that gets angry at a shows inaccuracy but right now I feel justified as this show has honestly had absulutley nothing going for it from the start. Uninteresting characters, an extremely boring setup early on, but all the stuff about quantum physics was what I was waiting for and hoping would be awesome. Since we've only had basically 2 episodes so far actually concerning the experiments that they've done, saying I'm more than disappointed is an understatement. So much of what is happening is total bullshit. And look, I totally understand that shows HAVE to take creative liberties and I am in no way condemning that, but when they literally just make up more than half of the shit they're saying rather than actually do some research on the subject at hand, it just sounds so stupid and as I mentioned there's nothing left for the show to fall back on as I have found almost every minute of it to be totally dull.

Pls don't get mad at me, it's just my opinion, if you like it and are fine with them redefining everything about quantum physics then that's great and I'm glad you're enjoying a show i wish i could have enjoyed.

Also, I'm not one to laugh at stuff like this but I couldn't help it here.

This series' idea of dramatic tension and to make you care again is to just show a shitload of blood. I'll admit it got me during episode one but now it's just laughable.

How can Yui be this stupid I mean she does remember each time she has tried to save Kaori and failed right and each time she has never told them who she really is
I mean what the hell why doesn't she just tell them who she really is to have help in saving Kaori instead of doing it herself has she not learned from the previous 1000 times.

Finally a rather good episode.
But why does it seem like Sou is falling for Yui -.-
I think the solution to the problem of saving Kaori lies in Sou falling for her or a something little that has to change.
I hope Yui manages to save Kaori.

Great episode, more facts were enlightened and the view of Yui was shown, but Sou is getting irritating, his indecision seems to be the center point of the series, this way it will eventually only hurting all the girls ..

man i dont mean to hate on kaori but shit she fuking annoys me, she cant see another girl getting along with sou because she goes into full depression and shit. and i kinda woulda thought that since yui has gone back so many times and can remember everything that she would have realized by now that everytime she talks to sou kaori get depressed and ends up dying soon after.

I still question how this even got adapted, the story was already a train wreck. Had a very unique synopsis, but it's like the writers didn't try. I don't blame the directors or studio for this abomination.

Lol @ Yui suddenly changing clothes.

Anyway, pretty good episode; I feel like we're finally getting somewhere. However, I think both Sou and Kaori have a lot to blame for Kaori's demise. Sou, for being a massive idiot and dickhead about everything that's going on around him (look, I know he's the MC-kun of a romance anime, but even this is too dense); Kaori for being super jealous for no reason.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

Are all the viewers of this show idiots? Based on their posts, it certainly seems so.

It was explained this episode that if Yui tries to directly change time the results are worse for all involved. Can't you understand simple subtitles? Do they need to actually dance around and use highlighters and exclamation points to get you to pay attention to the friggin dialog? This is why people who come into contact with her quantum image go comatose.

As for the idiots feeling so superior about the "mistakes" in animation. Let me make this clear:

YOUR FEELING OF SUPERIORITY ONLY SHOW HOW PATHETICALLY DENSE YOU REALLY ARE. YUI IS NOT TIME TRAVELING, SHE IS TRAVELING THROUGH MULTIPLE DIMENSIONS TRYING TO FIND THE COMBINATION THAT WILL SAVE KAORI. THE CHANGES IN DRESS (ALSO THE CHANGES IN HER TIE FROM THE SECOND EPISODE) WERE BOTH DONE ON PURPOSE TO SHOW THAT MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE. THEY ARE NOT "MISTAKES" OR IN NEED OF QUALITY CONTROL. THEY ARE A CREATIVE WAY OF SHOWING THE VIEWER THAT WE ARE SEEING THE SAME EVENT FOR YUI OCCURRING MULTIPLE TIMES.

Yui even explained this during the episode, but I guess paying attention to dialog is too complicated for some people.

We are at the 10th episode, an idiot could have figured this out by the second episode. Even before we got to the plot, it was clear enough from the first episode that this was the case. Go read my post from October 4th to show that anyone with even average intelligence could have figure this out.

Let me give you detractors a life lesson. Creators are smarter than you. If you think you have spotted a mistake, 99.9999% of the time the mistake lies within your brain, not the show. Please just have the decency to crawl back under your rock or bridge and join you intellectual companions because you mouth breathing, neuron clogged, cranial capacity lacking troglodytes are only capable of grunts and crotch scratching.

Thank god that Japanese animators don't care about foreign audiences, because it is unfortunately too clear that said fans can only handle shows with the intellectual depth of Pokemon (though I am probably being too harsh on Pokemon, it is far deeper than most westerners apparently can handle). It's not even that this show is particularly intellectual, it's just that the writers gave their fans a bit of credit to be able to figure things out for themselves. That overestimates the western market.

So again, six episodes ago the teacher explained that there were 11 or 12 dimensions in quantum physics. The numbers they show every episodes so far have only gone up to 11. Do you get it now? Yui will save Kaori with her 12th attempt.

Nothing is as annoying as watching idiots pat themselves on the back over their own ignorance.

I like how they changed the opening a bit, nice little touch. Yui's eye opening instead of Kaori's.

I have a feeling this loop paradox will get magically solved by some romantic decision . . . Not having read the VN. Even if it does i still enjoy this show.

Endless Eight is a better presented version of a hell in time loops tho. And Steins;Gate had a better time-locked damsel... But, this show didn't even point to time travel until way in, good twist on slice of life without adding crazy stuff.

PS: wth even is the cube?

Okay there were so many blatant colour and continuity errors with Yui's outfits (i only noticed the errors with hers?), so much so that I want believe it was on purpose to try and emphasise the fact that the timeline is getting heavily disrupted due to her multiple attempts at fixing Kaori's death.

The multiplying ghosts and such also contributes to this theory.

One thing I don't understand...
Kaori don't died in first timeline, she was in a coma,
and Sou tried to way why to wake her up,
then this whole idea about Yui come to future and stopping Kaori to get into accident,
but instead fixing future, she make it worse?
All these "ghosts", Kaori's dies many times...

I remember watching other anime with theme like this one,
but there way to save somebody was so simple,
just make, do... something otherwise to stop it?

Why she keep her alone? When she know that time she will die?
In one timeline she was with her, but why she don't thought about taking others with them? O.o

Also I don't understand...
Yui is in love with Sou?
In one timeline she said she think about him as father.
Even if Sou will falling in love with her this will be one-sided love?
But in other episode there was something like Yui is Kaori?

I watching this show, but I still don't understand what's going on... xD

Sou falling for Yui... who wasn't expecting that? And why did they use that crap? Are they expecting that we can't them together because of the other times that never happened to Sou, and he just likes her and that's it?

Well, at least I would go as far as saying that that scene of color changing could be another repeated timeline.

said no one ever.

this show is really just a shitty version of steins gate wrapped in a heaping pile of angst and melodrama, only the characters (or lack thereof) aren't anything worth caring about. has kaori done anything other than sigh and sulk?

last episode started to move the plot and i thought maybe the story will finally tap its potential and do something interesting. the twists make it different enough from the aforementioned show for it to stand out on its own, and it has a certain laid-back and atmospheric tone to it that i like.

but nope, the writing continues to be all over the place. i can't stand when writers interrupt conversations or confessions with "nevermind" and then the girl runs off or somebody happens to enter the room at the exact moment. the plot goes nowhere until something happens, and all the while the characters are hopelessly dense, passive and unaware. it's annoying to watch and is a lazy way of stretching the plot.

i don't like to drop shows this one is close.

"The power of friendship" is what ruined Soul Eater. Why do they keep trying to use deus ex machina in such a poor way. It's offensive to the viewers.

@Takuan_Soho
I've seen many fanboys in my life but you win the award for this year - and since it's December already I must trully congratulate you. Advice for the future - use less poison in your posts. Maybe then someone would consider taking them seriously.

Those death scenes were hilarious. Kaori pretty much got herself killed continually.Such a moron. Why doesn't Yui just get Kaori away from the school and road on that day? It seems she could have just tranquilize her and tied her down.

I loved the scene where she was anihilated by bus stop's roof - makes you think this thing weights about 3 tons since it liquified her.
As for locking her up - she actually tried it and it turns out it didn't work out either (ghosts got her).

For a moment, when I saw that scene, I thought that it had something to do with the time traveling, history changing stuff. But nope. Just a mistake.

Just you wait - I'll bet one of them will use it as an excuse.

this anime is so much better than Steins;Gate

Amen. It's infuriating when let's say a confession is interupted 5 times or when the character stopped paying attention or fell asleep (I'm looking at you Nisekoi!) and then the thoughts in the other character's head are - "well I tried once, it didn't work - I should give up immediately until something prompts or forces me to do it again". They do it to create a build-up and make people have the "I can't wait to see when it finally happens" feeling. What they create is frustration and dissapointment instead.

Kaori is one of my most hated characters ever (currently ranked 3rd after Ikari Shinji and Shion Uzuki). It's like - she's not gonna tell him her feelings, but whenever someone gets close to him she's going into hikikomori mode and gets depressed. Honestly I enjoyed this episode only because we got to see her die... a lot. I pray that she isn't gonna get saved in the end.
