THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Was it my imagination, or was that SAYLA-SAN!? With Judau's SISTER!? WTF? Godamnit, stop teasing me with Sayla, I want more of her. MORE SAYLA-SAN. Give me an OVA, movie and 50 episode series all about Sayla and her flowing blonde hair. Near Argama is a crap name. Mashymre-sama is back! Looking cool, and with a equally cool looking sidekick lady straight out of a Tina Turner music video. Nice. Beecha is now captain. Haha! Ok, its funny, but because the show's latter half is all serious now, its a bit out of place. Oh well, Bright needs a rest. He's been working his arse off for well over 100 episodes by now! |

It's Nahal Argama with my subs, lol (or something like that). Not sure which is more accurate. I laugh everytime I see Sayla ... even in Zeta, I don't believe she spoke once. She just happens to be on the beach watching things happen. And yeah, I think that was Liena with her ... very odd. Yeah Mashymre's sidekick seems cool, right out of a Tina Turner music video? XD, I'd say that about a lot of characters here (Chara Soon), they're so 80's, lol. Beecha ... uggggggggh. |

Ok, I admit I like the ep, but there was a lot of weird stuff going on. It seemed like the entire group of Shangri-La kids get the urge to run the ship in this ep, and no one finds that weird or cares particularly much. Why they had to leave the Argama on Earth I don't understand, maybe it was political reasons... Mashymre returns and although I never liked him. At least, he was one of the few villains at the beginning of the season that I thought had potential. And Beecha as captain... WTF? who thought that was a good idea. What the hell qualifies him? Spunk? Freckles?! I think Bright put up with so much sh*t for so many years that he just said f*ck it & let them do whatever they want. |

I assume Argama was really worn out after those battles so it was necessary to left it behind. But seriously why Beecha out of all people? I'm really gonna miss Bright though if he cheat on Mirai I won't forgive him~ I was totally in shock seeing Sayla with Leina~ I hope she'll come back or at least say something~ |

I'm always a happy man when sweet Sayla Mass makes a cameo appearance. But why o why is Judau's sister there with her? Bright is getting a deserved vacation, I'm sure he'll get a couple of visits from Miss emily. The second half of the series has turned out rather well, more serious if i may say so, and then suddenly Beech becomes acting captain and Marshmallow shows up again? What gives? |

Incapacitated Leina survives a point-blank explosion, and then Sayla introduces her to cameos. I don't even care how it happened. Might as well assume she's a cyber-newtype made to look like Leina. Mashymere has lost his identity offscreen, returning as a generic rival figure. They even gave him a stock female subordinate to lose. |

Sayla! I hope we get to see you again! *salute* Shame Bright has left the crew now, he took Shinta and Qum too, I wonder what will become of them. It would be cool if they grew up to be pilots like Katz. It was originally a little experiment by Char, bringing kids into space and seeing how if they get Newtype abilities. Seems like nothing really happened.. I've been enjoying this 2nd half a lot more now. With 10 episodes left I hope the finale is exciting as Zeta's. |

Was that really Leina who was with Sayla? Who knows how that happened... Wasn't her blood covered shoe at the building where she died and everything? Oh well. Argama was left with Karaba and instead we get the Nahel Argama. I think the upgraded design looks nice. I like how nobody seemed to care when the Newtype kids decided to steal it. It's true Bright deserves a break already. He should go see his family on Earth, but I'm guessing he'll stay with Emary for a while, lol. Finally Mashymre makes his comeback. A bit more serious after dropping the colony. |

Leina should stay dead. It would be better for Judau development, plus I see it as an attempt to make thing lightier. Gundam is dark, it should remain that way! They could have "revived" Hayato instead of her. Mashymre is back! Nice :) |

I'm not quite sure if I like where this is going, but I guess it does make sense. Bright was quickly becoming a side character with little point other than shout orders, so shoving him off screen allows them to not bother with his character. I was hoping for Sayla to have more of a role this time around, but it seems like it's not going to happen. *sigh* SithNoKami said: Did you people not see Leina get up before the explosion >.> Judging by the amount of comments that thought she was dead in the previous and this episode, I say no. Somehow, people are that blind to the obvious, lol. |

So we Vifam now? I really really like the new ship its like White Base and the Argama had a baby, it looks pretyy cool. I'm not so sure about the new Mashymre though I mean I'm kinda glad to see him back but its hard to see him going through with a colony drop when he acted the way he did back at space brooklyn, I suppose his infatuation with Haman may have helped but it still bothers me. On the bright side though at least they actually addressed his actions and how he was affected by them. Judau Also seems rather unfazed by Puru's death, I don't know how much time has passed between Dublin and the present but it seems he should be more broken up about it, I mean he's failed to protect 2 little sisters now. That was quite disappointing. |

Amazing episode! So we're leaving the old Argama :( Welcome Nahel Argama! You did well surviving two wars in a row. Lol Elle and Judau were holding hands and it made Beecha jealous. I'm glad Kamille and Fa Yuiry are safe and sound. And i already TOLD you, Leina would either be saved by Char or Sayla. I'm actually surprise it wasn't Char(he must laying low right now), but Sayla is a Newtype too so it make sense she can locate Leina. Still Puru 1 is dead. I thought Judau would grieve more, but this is war so he has to move on. I'm surprise Amuro hasn't showed up yet. Mashymre is back! He seems much more serious this time around. No more jokes, he's ready to finally do his job as the commander. Illia Pazan is the new crew member?! Tbh now that i think about it, Mashymre is acting like Jerid and even had a subordinate Lila Milla Rira and Mouar Pharaoh. Even trying to become a rival to Judau! I wonder what was that green light?! Illia seems special. And wtf is that kind of tactic?!?! If this was Haman, Judau would have died. So Bright is leaving Nahel Argama to a bunch of kids!?!?! Still they are now experience, so hopefully Beecha and the crew will do what Bright has taught them. Emily sure seems happy Bright is now on her side :P Poor Mirei, Bright you sly you! Good stuff! Hope to see Zeta deaths in the upcoming episodes! Can't wait for the next episode! |

Sayla hanging out with jedaues sister didn't expect that scene at all Yikes the earth episodes were really good but now we have beecha punk ass running the ship? Won't they be short a bunch of positions for gundam pilots if half of them are manning controls on the bridge ? Wonder if those other crew from argama 1 are still on . Well it looks like they'll be defending the LA vie en rosse next ep anyway.. maybe after that at least bright will go back with them. With only 10 episodes left I can't imagine they'll go into the final battle at side 3 without bright |

Wait a second, I don't think I like where this is going. Bright's no longer gonna be around since Judau & Co now have the Nahel Argama, Emary is way too happy about Bright being on the La Vie en Rose with her despite her now knowing he's married with kids, Mashymre's back with another really 80s female companion, and Sayla and Leina were briefly shown????? Alright I guess??? Hopefully the last cour won't suck since the past 10 episodes have been surprisingly good. If Beecha doesn't manage to get them all killed I'll be impressed tbh |

So an out of universe reason. Sadly, by this point in the show ZZ has already hit it's highwater mark. It's not going to get better as it moves toward the end. |

Looks like Judau is a lot stronger than Kamille. He experienced twice in only two months the loss of a close young girl and doesn't even mention it. He looks as happy-go-lucky as if Ple never existed. Now that Leina is revealed to be alive, I suppose Ple had to exit the scene as fast as possible. Nice. Mashymre, who was the one responsible for the colony drop, let go of his chivalrous spirit only for the sake of Haman? Did he still live in his former illusions or did he finally realized the cold blooded monster she is? I suppose the woman is a disposable soldier who will serve as a rage trigger. I missed the character but his temporary reformation turned him into "generic bad guy commander number X". What a waste. Beecha sudden "promotioon" comes out of nowhere but if it was for the sake of the conclusion movie, I will let it pass. After all, he did show some signs of maturity recently. Also, is ZZ suddenly trying to imply some romantic feelings between all those probably childhood friends? (Elle toward Judau, Beecha toward her) 2/5 Only good thing for me: Artesia's appearance. AllStarNemesis said: Puru's death being glossed over won't be the only time it happens. They literally do it again by flying over Ple Two's death in the middle of a picture like nothing happened. I thought she was simply exhausted, it turne dout she was exhausted to death. I only understood it when I noticed her absence during the epilogue. And it was not even mentioned! March 2, 2018 @Roy_Focker We got that in 0079: Bright was only 19 when he "became" captain of the first ship. And most of the crew was made of civilian children. edit @Roy_Focker Oh, I see. My bad. Indeed, the characters origin was a nice change (although Judau applying for a post in the Jupiter fleet at the end was a bit disappointing for someone who disliked war, based on all this factions doings since the beginning of the saga) July 2, 2020 @St0rmblade The Beecha thing didn't appear to me until this episode, if I remember well. (the Elle thing, sure) I was probably in a mood bad enough to exagerate things though, thanks to the show's ultimate handling of a certain character and the infuriating return of our favourite "knight". |

You've passed the African and Dublin arcs of ZZ. Those are the high water marks for the show. After that, it pretty much a made dash to the finale. Puru's death being glossed over won't be the only time it happens. Bright disappears after this episode because the voice actor had to voice Bright for Char's Counterattack. You'll see soon enough ZZ's decline. Which, IMO was brought on because people stopped caring about making the show good. |

Wait, did the show just go back to being bad again? (I mean, I'm happy Sayla is back but retconning Leina's death? Tomino pls. Might as well retcon Puru's while you're at it) *sigh* Given the last few comments on this thread, I'm almost tempted to drop ZZ altogether, so that my opinion of it doesn't sink any lower than it already is. |

"Let's leave Bright behind on La Vie en Rose without his permission and promote Beecha in his place!" What were they thinking? I'm sure in the back of Bright's mind he's thinking to himself thank god I'm getting out of that mess. Explains why he doesn't care about them going without him. Also seems like no one gives a damn about Ple dying lol The show was getting better but it's kind of getting stupid again. |

I'm just laughing at the fact that Beecha was made captain just sums up ZZ in a nutshell, I'm not even surprised Bright left and was non nonchalant about it he had enough. As Puru's death I'm not even surprised the crew didn't mourn her death she was more a thorn at their side and a liability, Judau was only looking after her out of guilt plus this is ZZ we talking about here lol |

I hope to see more Sayla in the next episodes, and since Leina is with her that is possible... Anyway there are lots of things not making sense here, the most striking being the mutiny (if you can call it so since they're not soldiers) of the main cast, who stole the AEUG new warship...making Beecha the new captain on top of that!! And what about the fact they learnt how to work on the main deck in like 2 minutes? A mention also to the return of Mashymre Cello: he seems now a decent or even cool character, but I can't really like him for the same reason I don't like Glemy or Beecha: they became good/serious characters out of nowhere, changing their personality a lot without any reason. To me, the problem is minor with Mashymre because he wasn't on screen for a long period and he also gave a sort of explanation. Anyway, I would have preferred to learn he died somewhere and never hear anything about him again, since he just doesn't fit in a serious plot. To end with a praise, I really like the visual part of the show in the latest episodes. I think it improved a lot. |

Man, the kids/teenagers taking the ship/manning it without the help of an adult like they did here (I’m not counting Torres as an adult) would have been fun to watch (I wish ZZ would start that way)... What da' heck Leina didn’t die!? And she is with Sayla?! I wish Judau & co. spent a little more time mourning Puru but the enemy did not let them... talking about the enemy Mashymre is back and he is more able also I'm glad he recognized his past endeavors and him relinquishing that flower means that he is not the same man that he was before (he was more chivalrous and would not hurt civilians as opposed as him following Haman orders by dropping that colony) also we only need Chara and especially Yazan (a character that were featured here and he is part of the prequels Gundam Z) now to get some type of closure in terms of knowing if he is going to live or die in this conflict… |

I already saw Leina right at the beginning of the preview for this episode(infamous Gundam preview striked again, whose idea was this? xD) And I actually even wanted to say something in the discussion thread for episode 28, along the lines of, if there isn't a corpse the death doesn't count, but I refrained from it since most deaths in Gundam weren't confirmed that way. Okayish episode, cool to see Mashmyre again. |

Leina is alive and Sayla made a cameo! My suspicions were correct. But why isn't anybody talking about Ple's death? ;_; What's with those fancy outfits of Illia and Mashymre? Why did he come back as an absolutely different character? And HE of all people dropped a colony? o_O Judau's tactics in this episode were just :o And looks like he developed another NT power. And now even Bright left the ship, leaving Beecha as a new captain?... wow. As far as I can tell from the thread, Bright left because his seiyuu was already working on CCA... similar to Sayla (whose seiyuu was just unavailable and that's all, afaik) Plot-wise this episode kinda looked like a waste to me, I sense a drop in quality after the great Africa->Dublin arc. And here I was, almost ready to give ZZ a higher score then to Zeta (7 over 6). Not sure if that's happening now. @Rei_III romantic feelings between Elle, Judau and Beecha were implied/mentioned during the Moon Moon double episode |

Lol Mashymre went from being a charming prince to looking like he is apart of a hardcore biker gang. It feels really sad to leave the Argama behind after everything it's been through... but then we get pretty much the exact same ship 5 minutes later, which feels like a cheat and cheapens the impact of leaving the first Argama behind. It's like the Enterprise being blown up in Star Trek 3, but then it's cheapened by getting a replacement in the next movie that looks exactly like the first one (whereas the Enterprise D looked really different from the Constitution class). Really wish that either 1. the Argama wasn't left behind at all or 2. the heroes got a completely different ship. Haha Beecha doing his best Bright impression. Why did Bright leave the kids? What is he going to do now? Captain another ship? Or will he finally be promoted to admiral and take over the AEUG's war in space? Also FFS Bright stop cheating on your wife! Speak of the devil, Sayla got another 5 second cameo... and Leina is with her? Also, I get a strange sense of forboding. This is not the REAL Argama, and Bright and the two kids have been evacuated off of it. So... is this Nahel Argama expendable? Is everyone on it going to die? |

Mashymre finally showing up again, made me super happy. The kids heading off mostly on their own without bright. Feels like we are heading towards the conclusion of this series (although we have about 10 episodes left). Excuse me, was that Sayla and LEINA? I thought Leina exploded. It could have been someone who looks exactly like her, but I kind of doubt it. I have a feeling Leina somehow survived. Did not see that coming actually. Mashymre's new subordinate looks really cool, I like her design and her mobile suit. |

What the hell???? This whole episode was a complete mess. Fist the Sayla and Leina cameo that did nothing, then the whole AEUG vs Renpou, I mean, the Aeug was formed becasue the Rempou was a complete mess and now they are acting like they are only a faction of it and they have to obey orders???? They were a third party in the war on Z Gundam. Then the whole Bright cheating on Mirai ordeal which wtf, why? Then the whole Mashymere appearance, like he just disappeared, was replaced by Glemy who has now been replaced by Mashymere again I am assuming, their uniforms which are so ridiculously eighties and the whole brushing off from the fact they dropped another colony on Earth. And finally the whole mess of Mondo becoming the new kanchou??? Like what? He never showed signs of wanting to be a leader, he just wants the attention from the others, and they introduce him in this episode like "look guys he is imitating Bright, he obviously has always wanted to be a captain", like what? It doesn´t work that way. And now they left Bright behind? I can't help but think this is going to be a complete mess. |

Just when the show was getting good again, it completely shits the bed once more with this disaster of an episode. Ple's death apparently had zero impact on Judau or anyone else, as he's still the same idiotic jerk he's been from minute one. Then Leina's death just got retconned for no reason whatsoever, thereby cheapening the impact of that moment while also just being insultingly bad writing. And now Mashymre appears for the first time in ages and seems to be an entirely different person apart from his interest in roses still being a thing. This is by far the worst full-length Gundam I have watched so far. |

That’s gotta be Leina with Sayla right?!? Not too surprising since I didn’t think Leina was truly dead. Mashmyre suddenly appeared again after going MIA for most of the middle act lol. Beecha as deputy captain is hilarious. |

Without Bright the ship sounds like what it was in MSG: just amateurs, it''s not necessarily a bad thing perhaps, i wasnt expecting that though Without Puru Elle is making a move on Judau huh, this I was expecting :D Beecha was a self-proclaimed leader at the start of the series right? makes sense he's the new captain, lol |

So, Sayla is just gonna make random voiceless cameos from now on? And she just so happens to be around the block to save Leina. Ple got the short end of the stick being practically forgotten after the mourning. Idk what to feel about Beecha suddenly barking orders from the captain's seat, but he's always wanted to be the leader so there you go. At least he showed some competency. |
