| Yikes, looks like our main cast is having some financial problems. Then again, we're talking about two guys raising a kid together so obviously, it's going to cause money out of their wallets. I love how Miri assigns herself to watch over Ikki. She's already acting like a spy as if this is a game. |

| Now kazuki and rei known they gotta keep that door locked when you got a girl with as much energy as Miri lmao. It all worked out for the best because now there’s no more secrets with Kyu and Miri will stop asking what they do for a living 😂 I love how the smallest details about kazuki and rei get her so excited it’s so damn cute. Her trying not to say papa was adorable I really am glad kyu came around at the end too, was worried he’d try to break them up but bro saw how cute miri was and folded, like all sane people would. Rei and kazuki fan club one of the best parts of the show man they are simping hard. |

| i think kyu-chan is going to be like an uncle/older brother figure for miri. probably in the next few eps he's gonna be stuck taking care of her a few times so id like to see them get closer and gossip about rei and kazuki together. would be adorable i love how every ep gives a small insight bit by bit about rei and kazuki's jobs. like we just found out there's an organization they're working under. hopefully everything about their backstories and how they met will be revealed later on. its very intriguing i also love how the show displays symbolism in little things. as the second post above me told about the marriage thing. the entertainer and oil merchant are great examples about kazuki and rei's situations. most stand up comedians are not financially stable or work many jobs indiciation their harsh money problems. similary showing that rei was an oil merchant from the middle east show that he was rich (as stated a few eps back) exactly like an oil merchant cant wait for the next ep |

| Since episode one I've been wondering if Miri would eventually find out that her biological papa was killed by her papas. Not sure if it's really necessary for this show to go down that route. Her getting kidnapped seems inevitable on the other hand. Perhaps these two mentioned aspects will go hand in hand. Uncle Kyu-chan was very creative regarding the professions. Not surprising at all that it became another hot topic among the mom's xD Also lol @ Miri as bride or her getting bewitched by big boobas. This was another great episode. Sorry, but Miri following Kazuki reminded me so much of Spy x Family. |

| Ofc Kyu knew everything, given his line of work. The things he told to Kazuki and Rei are the harsh truth, they had to face it sooner or later. Just hope they can continue taking care of her and the three of them can stay together. Kyu telling Miri about their work was hilarious and the moms talking about it too. |

| A lot of anime, too many in my experience, start off with a bang and quickly fizzle out. In this season's case for me, other than all the fantasy and isekai that also surprisingly started out pretty well, it's High Card. Started off firing on all cylinders, but imho, is only a bit better than "meh". BUDDY DADDIES, on the other hand? Almost hated it at first, mostly due to Miri. But now, especially since episode 4? Loving it. I was too quick to judge, and needed to let it take its time a little. I wonder how many people were turned off by the first couple episodes and have disregarded it forever. It always deserved at least a chance. But now, I believe it deserves everyone's full attention. Sorry for being cringe, I'll go now. Edit: also Kyu-Chan making that strawberry cream soda drink or whatever it was for Miri low key might just be the best scene I’ve seen all week |

| Hiring a regular babysitter is not an option, no? For comedic effect it's fine, I guess, but seems somewhat silly. Why doesn't Miri miss her mother though, she almost completely forgot about her. |

| In this line of work, it would be expected that Kyu would know a lot of things and in the case of Miri, this was certainly no exception. Still, I did like how he looked after her and made up a good story about Kazuki and Rei's "jobs" were, which she took to heart and presented it as her homework piece at the daycare centre later on, with Rei wearing a wedding dress in her picture. Not only that, but the gossiping mothers were at it again, with one of them VERY interested in the money. There's always one like that, huh? XD Kyu was pretty understanding of the position Kazuki and Rei are in because of Miri and his explanation of it to them was really well done. You can tell from Kazuki and Rei's faces that they're committed to looking after Miri while sticking to their line of work for as long as possible, even though it'll be a tough challenge for them. Once again, this was another fine episode, with a generous amount of funny Miri expressions and good character development. We even get to see the full face of the intimidating hit-man from episode 2 and he does look the part of someone you don't want to screw around with, that's for sure. |

| Kazuki should of kept that front door locked lol, cause Miri be causing trouble again but luckily she stumbled across Kyuu and I like how he is so soft with kids, completely different to how he talks to Kazuki most of the times :) Also those mothers at the end are wildin, still talking about Kazuki and Rei papa. Really good episode, Kyuu came in clutch |

| Again while not as good as ep 3 it's still solid, and finally things seem to be picking up just before the halfway point. The subtle character acting in Rei's face when he picked Miri up from the couch near the end, as well as his progression in general from being apathetic to more fatherly, warms my heart. Friendly reminder that Kazurei is in fact canon, the writers told me themselves. /j |

| Kyu being gentle with Miri was such a sweet dynamic – he does have quite a nurturing aura despite his occupation. Where the hell did he pull up the Middle Eastern oil baron though?! I couldn't hold a straight face when they showed Miri's drawing of Rei in his "work outfit" hahahah |

| The buddy daddies in financial ruin and proposes on Kyutaro to send work their way as a measure to help keep them in check. A call from Miri's daycare to stay home because of a virus that-cannot-be-named, and Miri's class is called to stay at home. Her homework to ask both Kazuki and Rei about their jobs, however, though piques her interest, stresses both of them to no end to balance babysitting with their small jobs. The lively Miri just can't be more energized enough, and she walks out alone to stalk Kazuki on his job, thereby creating another Anya situation. It's so fun to see Miri just exploring by herself and getting lost, while Kazuki gets crunched by Kyutaro, only to be bombarded by Rei's call that said daughter has gone missing out in the wild. Having no other options to go, and bumping onto Kyutaro's clientele right outside his cafe, he takes her in. Kazuki, fearing the worst, finds her in Kyutaro's cafe, only to shoot themselves in the foot juggling Miri's babysitting with Kyutaro's jobs. He offers a proposal to take care of her while the buddy daddies take care of his, it's a much-needed proposal, nevertheless. Contrary to his cold-bloodedness towards Kazuki and Rei, he's actually a kind natural to others, and hiding their real jobs is something that only Kyutaro can pull off a reply like that. But with how Miri being so open about them both, it's only a matter of time where the cat would be out of the bag, which Kyutaro has already known instinctively. Miri sharing both jobs in class with the mothers aggressively taking notes, never fails to cease the hilariousness. With Kyutaro emphasizing the grimness of their jobs, along with the babysitting of Miri, he poses the question of whether they are up to the task of juggling the assassination job and the babysitting. Lives taken, no regrets if it affects the child's life. |
