Emi literally wrestling against a bear is probably the most badass thing I've seen coming from her. She took down it down with her bare hands!

Looks like the bigger problem is dealing with a thief but they came up with a plan. Pretty cool with the way they took care of that problem. I'm even impressed.

In the presence of a bear, both the Devil and the Hero working together to face it, and Emi's grappling and suplex did all the subjugation. That's the Hero's power for you.

Of course, this made into the news, and Emi's now the "Bear-slayer" lols. While Maou and Ashiya continues farming with Manji and learning tips along the way, it's a robbery that's affecting the livelihood of those living nearby. And they need not look far to find the possible culprit, and the Sasaki's farm will defo be the next target given the daylight bear incident.

The unlikely source is Chiho's grandma lending her ears and knowledge to Maou and Co. despite knowing that they possibly aren't from Earth, so the secret is sound and the route to ruse the culprit is planned with Urushihara giving much of the input to put into action.

The plan goes like clockwork, and sure indeed, the solar panels are the true items of interest to these thugs for the gang to round them up. The round-up was supposed to look serious, but instead it looked more comical (in regards to Bel and Emi's scene of weird facial expressions), which is a shame. But at least they nailed Maou's demonic look, so there's that.

A good reward from the Sasakis to the Ente Isla gang, and it feels deserved for a good feel. Too bad Emilia, you're officially known as the Bear-slayer now, though that call from Emerada about her mother coming to find her, now that's a shock.

A nice episode all things considered.

Lol, these stupid thieves got what they deserve.
And cliffhanger regarding Emilia's mom? :o sounds interesting.

Not only did Emi save Chiho relatives from a rampaging bear but the squad stopped some crop thieves! What in the hell were those guys thinking trying to steal crops and even the solar panels. Just wanting some quick cash to run around with is a shallow reason to steal stuff in the middle of the night. Those thieves had some bad luck that in the middle of their conquest Maou and company just happened to be there. Chiho family and the community under their protection after giving them lodging and jobs. They all did a good job figuring out how the crops were being stolen and making that plan to stop the thieves. Maou transforming again was cool to see, intimidating that guy like crazy. Emi rampage was funny too after she got so upset being calling the bear Slayer for stopping that bear at the beginning of the episode. She definitely took her frustration out on those thieves. Glad that Maou and them couple help the farmers and are now back at newly renovated domicile.

Pretty meh episode.

The bear was easily dealt with though, it was quite anti-climatic after the cliffhanger of last episode.

Suzuno, Emi and even Maou (who gained powers) using their powers to stop some measely thieves was quite overdone and I didn't like it. It actually took away a lot from my enjoyment. It was nice to see Maou's transformation but all that to stop a watermelon thief c'mon man. The theif peeing his pants was funny to see though lmao, Emi and Suzuno scared him quite a bit.

The post-credit was the best part of this episode. The thought that Maou is Emi's enemy afterall and could reagin his full powers even in Japan crossed her mind. Another cliffhanger too, something about Emi's mother. I hope it's actually something good this time not like how it was in this episode, lame bear slayer.

3/5.

Don't worry Alas Ramus, your teddy's safe, mama won't kill it.

Interesting, seems like Maou might be able to regain his original power even in this world. Also Emilia's mother?

Even though this episode was decent, I am craving for the devil to start working back at fast food restaurant, facing problems and finding solutions around a goofy cast like back in season 1. What worked for the show was the idea of demons and gods trying to habilitate in human society and facing problems like any of us? It was chuckleworthy. But now for some reason that feeling of the main characters getting puzzled at human dilemma seems to be lost. The "devil" doesn't feel like the devil and the story doesn't bring his "part-time" experience to centre-stage.

Can anyone tell whether the story goes back to show Maou's trying to climb the ranks of fast food chain or is it going to steer around the baby and other less exciting plot lines?

God this season has been such a downgrade for me. this episode sealed it for me. If there is a season 3 I am not gonna bother watching it. this show has shifted in a direction I do not wish to follow. it fails as a comedy, a romance, and a child raising show. as it fails at having any emotional core, the comedy isn't nearly as good as it was before, and the romance is just basic stuff that's hardly befitting a Tsundere like emi.

Fully agreed. Getting through this season has felt like a massive chore so far, and exactly for the reasons you mentioned. It was similar to Rising of the Shield Hero S2, in that the direction was completely different compared to its first season, but in a bad way. Disappointed πŸ˜”

So much filler so much fun. But I'm hoping he can get back on track with a bit of wildness seeing as show drawing to a close. Going to be a damp squib if it dont get wild. Mothers calling??

Does anyone think that chiho's father is beginning to suspect about maou, emi, bell, aisha and hanzo, however, did he put aside his suspicions since they are chiho's friends and will he let her go to the islanent3 when the time comes? I don't know if mr. Did Sasaki realize Chiho's feelings for Maou? What do you think?

Yep, it's unbelievably bad. I'm not viewing season 1 through rose tinted goggles either, I only watched it a week before this one aired.

This is how I feel.
This episode felt like filler. Not awful filler, but still. When are we going to see more of Ente Isla? Why are the angels not looking for alus ramus any more? They gave up that easily?
Maou almost looked badass in this episode but the art killed it. Emi looking bad ass didnt work either because her facial expression was busted.

between the art and the story, this is a down hill slope, which is a crying shame because S1 was such a nice start

Emi Yusa became the bear slayer lol, I don’t see why she was mad about it giving it’s a badass name but it was funny seeing her get mad, Alas Ramus rubbing salt in the wound was great too lol. And those robbers sure were pathetic, it was funny seeing the cast torment them tho lol, those guys won’t ever do wrong again after seeing all that stuff.

Maou even used his powered up form to scare them straight (although I don’t think it was needed lol) and he also showed his character development there. Now someone is posing as Emi Yusa’s mom, nice little cliffhanger to end off with.

I even liked the breast grab and punch scene, straight from Love Hina.

Emi taking down the bear with ease was decent, but it was how the group dealt with the thieves that I found to be the most enjoyable part of the episode.

The visuals and animation were pretty decent as well in the latter half of the episode with how Ashiya took one guy out, whereas Suzuno had her angry look when she stopped the thieves and their Range Rover Evoque-looking SUV and Emi tore into the roof with her trademark pissed off expression. To top it off, Maou was able to transform into his demon version since he was next to the Kappa museum. Overall, the group were successful in stopping the thieves.

The post-credit scene was interesting and makes for a good cliffhanger to end the episode on. =)

Your eyes are not deceiving you, ladies and gentlemen. The only thing that moves the main story forward in this entire episode happened within the last 5 seconds. That means the rest of the episode was filler. Almost half of this show has been filler, in fact. You could remove 5 episodes from this series and not miss anything important.

I'm not enjoying this show. The Devil is a Part-Timer has become a chore to me. I've only watching this show because I have nothing else to do with my free time. You might be wondering why I keep watching this show if I'm not enjoying it. Well, I'm a bit of a completionist and I want to have an informed opinion of this show when it ends.

The novelty of this show has worn off and its formula is running dry.

There were some semblances of the visual comedy that made the 1st season excel (the guy peeing himself was hilariously timed). But still, all done in such a sloppy way that pales in comparison.

Not every day you see a bear being judo throwed thats for sure. Nice one Emi. Emi's reaction to being seen was priceless. Bear slayer as nicknames go isn't really that bad. If anything lack of natural resources is always a cause for war. If anything SUV's would be a thief's best friend in areas like farms. But going after the panels that if stolen would kill all the crops that the farmers worked so hard to grow is just despicable. Bell with red eyes really looks like a demon. Maou's transformation as he walked toward the mastermind though was well done. In the end while their part tome job at Chiho's family farm provided them with timely employment it also served to allow them to meet the rest of her extended family while repelling scummy panel thieves. I'll call that a pretty eventful trip.

I forgot they were about to throw down with a bear. This is one of the series this season that sits at the furthest reach in the back of mind. I have a hard time getting excited for it.

Overall, a pretty good, and wholesome, episode. I like how we not only got some boob grabbin', but we also got a glimpse of Maou's powers finally.
