Damn, that's a big fangirl for her idol. Eripiyo isn't afraid to how her enthusiasm at all.

I guess this anime explores the idea of idol culture but also adds in a lot of humor and awareness to it. Going to keep an eye on Eripiyo as she's carrying this anime so far with that personality of hers lol

Shows like this one make it worth to just randomly watch first episodes. Did expect nothing, came out with a pretty funny comedy that makes fun of idols and fans.

Eripiyo is obviously the star of this show, but I also liked how terrible the lyrics of the song were. Seems to have some yuri undertones, dunno if anything serious happens (end of episode implies it, but maybe only the setup for a joke?) but I'm not really watching the show for that :)

I had no idea what to expect from this show and now I still don't know what to expect. One thing I'll say though is that I think the VA's are doing a pretty good job so far

Comedy was kinda eh, there were a few chuckles but nothing overly hilarious so far at least

This was surprisingly fun, had some laughs here and there too, mostly about Maina's color and such being salmon related. The dance routines weren't particularly notable but at least they weren't hideous CGI.

Noticed the author also draws a lot of girl x girl stories, while this show probably won't get anywhere, at least we know the author is a fan of that.

Based on PV, I expected Aho Girl like comedy.
But not like it was bad at all. I'm actually impressed that 8bit managed to do something like this.
Even visual side is so pretty. And they didn't use 3DCG for their performance which is always welcomed.
Dub = fake crap. Always.

As a female Japanese idol fan myself, this anime is extremely relatable.

It's pretty fun to see the stereotypes coming through and the very recognizable situations, definitely made me giggle. I'm so happy we get this kind of anime, everyone in the J-pop idol fandom is really excited about it.

Even though idol anime is pretty big nowadays, one of my biggest complains has always been how they're never realistic. People nowadays will say they are J-pop idol fans when they've seen anime like Love Live or Aikatsu... Generally I feel like so many people got a wrong idea about what actual Japanese idol groups are like.

I mean all those anime are made to be like that for sure, so I can't argue, hell I've seen Love Live and have a best girl and all. So I'm not hating. But this anime is just a blessing for that kind of reason. It's a pretty realistic representation of how it actually all works!

I hope I can recommend it to my friends who like idol anime, even though this is more about the fan side as well (Eripiyo). The songs are still cute and it's definitely likeable for those who have watched idol anime I feel, so it's worth a try!

As for me, I'm definitely going to keep watching!

There is no romance as such, but firstly, the author is the famous yuri mangaka, and secondly, merch with this manga was sold on Yuribu 2019. Do the math.

Well, this is definitely not yuri in the sense of a love story, but it is the totally and completely intentional yuri-ish title about Japanese idol culture. This is one of those cases where the GL / BL mangaka writes less niche work to try to reach a wider audience.

While I love Idolmaster and other idol series what I hate is that those shows are not for actual idol fans. I don't think they are even capable of converting anime fans into idol fans. At the very least outside of Japan where everyone seems to hate 3D girls.

Now I don't know about this series' original source or it's author but I do know idols. There will be yuri. Since idols are forbidden to love they "love" all within the groups. In the SKE48 family Matsui Jurina has stolen so many first kisses from her kouhai. It's like this in many, if not all, idol groups.

Holy cow is the coloration peak anime content! Colours are so pretty and really transcribe a poetry the introduction transpired with. Eripiyo’s a bit creepy, but it doesn’t matter much more than just that.

Loved the first episode and looking forward to more next week. Animation surprised me, I thought they'd use CGI for the dances but it didn't look like that, or at least it was really well made. Some jokes were a bit cringy but I still enjoyed everything.

I ship MC and her idol, and she showing some self-restraint was actually good to see since I dislike creepy idol fans who are sadly a reality (the kind that would start a war and also go to the length of not respecting boundaries). I'm not an idol fan myself but the waiting scene reminded me of the waiting queue for Comiket, and I guess I can relate to some of the things that were mentioned. I don't know if it's a parody per se, or just to depict a different perspective on the idol business, but it's a refreshing change of pace. Grew tired of run-of-the-mill idol shows.

Author of the manga being a yuri mangaka (and I pretty much like the art style and Manga no Tsukurikata) is a big plus, even though the yuri might not be much.

Second Favorite this Season after Eizouken for personal reasons.

I just love how this show delves into the mind of a REAL stan, be it in a comedic way. One of the first fandoms I was a big part of was the Love Live fandom so I feel what Idol fanatism feels like (Even though I never got to this level).

It has been really good so far.

The real-life account of an idol, much more the fans themselves? I'M SOLD. At least this is way better than Back Street Girls: Gokudolls.

The title is as suggestive as it gets, but this is just the beginning of a hard and long fight between idol Maina of idol group ChamJam and hardcore fan Eripiyo. THAT'S SOME INSANE DEDICATION! Praise to the OGs!

Even waiting for limited-edition merch for otakus are as hard-headed as well! That's the life of a fan. Her wish: for Maina to reach Budokan before she dies.

Never had so much fun watching another idol-ish show, and this is the premiere episode! Definitely a good investment! 5/5

As an idol fan, I am very much satisfied with the tone of this show.

I like how it pokes fun at the idol culture, but deep down it seems to be very much about the (often hard to explain) connection between idols and (hardcore) fans.

I, for one, hope it doesn't turn into some sort of love story. It is rare to get an idol anime which has a natural vibe to it. And I would like it to stay that way till the end.

(And damn!! The fans being disappointed with the outfits was all too relatable.)

Ive waited in line for meet and greets hours in advanced...and in the heat as well. It sucks but it's freaking worth the wait.

I like Kumasa a lot and I am surprised he is less cringey then i thought he would be. Eripiyo's cringe levels are through the roof though.

I was pretty cynical about this show at first because, look at those idols -- they all looks like the same person with different hair styles. But the sheer novelty of what this show is about kept me interested and the joke about salmon pink is pretty hilarious too. I also liked the background art and the colours palette in general. They remind me of Sailor Moon. The city feels magical. Knowing it is produced by 8bit it is safe to say the art is gonna have a relatively steady quality.

I really hope the show is going to get deeper into the underground idol subculture in Japan and does not become another typical idol/yuri show with generic melodrama where everything is watered down to "friendship", "hope" and "effort". I would really like to see some insider's perspective into this weird otaku subculture that doesn't exist in anywhere else except for Japan.

After the TV commercial of the comics has been imprinted on me hundreds times for a few years, the anime version came finally. Although I didn't know what kind of comic it is, it turned out that the protagonist is extremely enthusiastic and almost annoying. Anyway, having watched this episode, my curiosity was satisfied. But I wonder how they can develop the story with these limited elements.

I'm not sure how to feel about this. On one hand it is funny, but on the other it is sad and disturbing, especially knowing that this stuff seriously happens.
It is especially hilarious to watch this after one of the other Idol show disasters that fulfill all the worst stereotypes.
I highly doubt there will be any romance, because part of the whole Idol fetishization is the fact that they are pure and untouchable.

As someone that finds the whole Idol business from weird to disturbing, this anime might be decoding the enigma of that whole fascination. I will at least give it some more episodes.

Until now, i always bored to watching idol anime because they only telling about idol themself.

Then, this one come to us. This show tell us how a fan loving their idol. You can see Eripyo wait for long time in a very hot summer just to buy their single CD and get photo ticket, how a fan struggling to keep their idol always smile. So, this one is what i need to watch! I am a fans, not an idol. This show really relevant to my life!

I really love this art! Thanks to 8bit!

So, i give this 9/10 for now!

What a weird show." It took me a little bit to be able to rectify how it portrayed every single idol fan as being some kind of gross social malcontent, at least aside from the protagonist whose great sins are being really awkward and dressing like she's a gopnitsa without doing the Slav squat. The message there is a bit disquieting. Yeah, all those other fans are weird, strange, and gross, but not you. You just need a little confidence and to put on nice clothes, but you don't actually even need that. You shared a glance with the obect of your adoration and she was completely smitten with you.

It's romanticized stalker fanfiction, but we're supposed to take it as parody because… I'm not sure why, to be honest. There are a few overdramatized reaction faces here and there, mostly tucked towards the end, but most it is just the lead being awkward. Japan, you have enough shows about teenagers being awkward and uncomfortable dealing with literally goddamned everything.

Bruh, this relates me on every single level. As an idol otaku, I always want to meet and communicate with my oshi. And yes, idol actually remembers the fan's name.

The part of the two-shot photo event also exactly the same as IRL. Though, I never want to make heart shape because I don't want my oshi to think I actually have fallen in love with them.

At least, in my country, idol otaku is not as "filthy" as them. Members of the group often remind the fans to not suffer just for an idol. Back then, a lot of wota fasting for a week just for more money.
