| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I had no idea that dude was a half beast, I'm so dumb! Awesome scenes in this episode, from a friggin' bear beating up bad guys to Shoukei and Suzu giving a combo verbal smackdown to the villagers. Plus now they know about Youko which was nice. Cant wait for everyone else to find out. |

| Well, the fact that the guy was a hanjuu - and that his 'animal' form is a bear - explains his monster strength! It definitely took me by surprise, too. It was a pleasant surprise, though - and this series is turning out to be full of nice little twists like that. I was also glad that Youko leaked her true identity to Shoukei and Suzu. I was wondering why Suzu hadn't asked Youko about her false name, "Youshi", earlier, since she clearly had reason to suspect that Youko was using a false name after Asano referred to her by her real name. Anyway, another excellent episode down! Looking back at the beginning of this series, it's definitely clear that it has come a long, long way in terms of character and story development. It's hard to believe Youko, Shoukei, and Suzu all started out as such "weak" characters that many of us viewers didn't like or downright despite... and ended up turning into such great protagonists. I'm so glad I followed others' recommendations and stuck with this anime. :) |

| HOLY ASS I DID have feelings of dropping this because I initially thought that with such cheap animation and sound effects (clearly distinguishable human voices for animals which is highly cringe-worthy), the story wouldn't be as compelling but then HERE WE ARE. HOLY MOTHERFUCKING ANALRAPIST. This shit's FUCKING AWESOME. But perhaps the true downsides to this anime adaptation are perhaps the existence of an original character (Asano), cheap animation (seriously guys it's the fucking 21st century), shoddy sound effects, lame ED, the fact that neither OP nor ED changes (even if it's just the animation sequences), and TOO MUCH CRYING. TOO FUCKING MUCH OF IT. I was wondering WTF IS WITH THAT GUY'S STRENGTH, but it makes sense if he was a hanjuu, and a big bear at that. Fucking great shit. |

| Lol. I love how he just ran in and started fucking shit up, then apologized after he did it. Good on Shoukei and Suzu for standing up for Youko. Just like Youko, they've also come a long way since they were introduced at the beginning of this arc. |
| Matsuoka Yoshitsugu has hardly any range as a voice actor, and is grossly over-cast. Yeah. I said it. |

| So, uh, the character growth displayed by Youko, Suzu and Shoukei had me without anything to say. That was just amazing. I really don't know what else to say here. Seeing them come together like that was like watching tapestry being woven. Yeah, I got nothing. |

| The royal army will be shook to see Youko there xD Game over for the cabinet members. I loved the conversation between the three girls when they opened up to each other realizing how similar their struggles were and Youko's reveal. Suzu and Shoukei speaking up for their friend/Queen Kei was the cherry on top. The last 15 episodes were worth it. Kinda baffled that there were few comments saying the series is too long. If anything it's too short. Could easily go for another 200 episodes or so. |
