DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- First episode is out on Amazon Strike (Japanese version). https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B076BTDR1W/ref=dvm_jp_pv_sm_tw_001540 For some reason, I think the music is good for this show. It'll take some time to accept the characters. The old man is an interesting character and I really like the human emotions he expresses for this episode. Visual quality is fine, not groundbreaking but works for this show especially with the machine parts. The sci-fi elements does stand out quite a bit. Good start. I think this will likely be a complete adapdation since the manga ended recently. |

| The CG is okay. At times it looks really good and at times it's kinda ehh. Anyways, I really hope they go anime original by the end, since the manga conclusion wasn't the best. BUT THAT OP IS HYPE! "HIT ME ON THE GROUND! HIT ME ON THE GROUND! HIT ME ON THE GROUND! HIT ME ON THE GROUND!" 4/5 |

| Best OP of the season right here imo As for the episode, the mix between CG and 2D was pretty decent and so far I really like this old dude Inuyashiki....I'm rooting for him hard especially since he's surrounded by dickheads |
| Ok the op was great. Wait he is 58yo?! Looks like an 80+yo and behaves like one too. Considering he was diagnosed cancer that certainly contributed to his bad look; but still I wouldn't like to age like that. Kinda felt bad for him throughout the episode though, when he lazored the kids I admit I had a grin on my face <.< I don't mind the chara desings, but that evident cgi a bit yes..not as much during action scenes though Story looks interesting so far, looking forward to more. |

| This was a really good first episode. The OP is so good. Animation is good, but the CGI is a bit weird. Ichirou is going to be an interesting character. He's basically a cyborg. His grand kids are ungrateful brats. I got emotional when he realized he saved a life. Those kids messing with that man got what they deserved. Looking forward to see more. |

| Never thought I'd drop an airing anime from the 1st episode, but I guess that time has come. Having read a few chapters of the manga I have to say this was horrible. Total nobodies as main VAs, CGI dog, CGI on the old man simply running or walking. If they're already using CGI on such simple things what the fuck are they gonna do when it comes to flying around the city?? Never trusting MAPPA ever again. The only good thing that came out of this crap is the OP. |

| This one got me, being a person who eventually defaulted into only fearing and being depressed by the idea of dying (jaded to any other kind of cause for negative emotion). On top of my dad who's in this man's position, except my dad's actually in his 70-80s. ---- All of the sympathy and tension I had for the old man kind of disappeared when things changed... it was really strange when that happened. I was expecting some kind of cathartic anime about old age, knowing that you're going to die soon, and feeling worthless and unloved. It was actually pretty hard to just watch that depressed old guy who can't speak up for himself. The feels from that whole segment before things changed where very unexpected. But oh well, emissaries of karma are fun to watch too. Hopefully what I elements from what I thought it was going to be will come back later. --- As far as animes with very out-there bullshit scenarios goes, this is doing its basic ideas right, compared to Evil or Live and King's Game, which do nothing right. |

| Not bad at all, the kind of batshit crazy sci-fi one would expect from the creator of GANTZ. The 3d looks nice, specially for the extremely complex mechanics of our hero's body, and this first episode sets him up quite well. I can't wait to see the adventures of our Not-as-old-as-he-looks Old Man Robocop. Also, MY GOD THAT FUCKING OP IS JAW-DROPPINGLY AWESOME. |

| Hella sad, but really great main character. When was the last good alien show? I hope they expand upon what actually happened that made him a cyborg. Good visuals and CGI, it really makes the cyborg bits standout. |

As someone who despises most of the generic j-rock openings, this was one of the best openings this year, lot of feeling and spirit, excelent hook, makes me want to sing it can´t simply complain. |

| Not a bad start though I'm not sold on the old man's VA. It sounded a bit off. CGI is great in most parts except when used to portray character movements then it looked stiff. Certainly an interesting premise and worth sticking with. |

| God damn I am glad I didn't read the manga before the anime came out... I expected this show to be above average, but I got more than that. It's literally old man Robocop. The animation and soundtrack are amazing, nothing less from MAPPA. This is probably one of the shows that will make people remember Fall 2017 as a good season. Also, I've got to mention the first half of the episode. That is literally the saddest moment in an episode I've watched since Koro-Sensei died... Can't wait for what happens next, and especially when the teenager and Inuyashiki have to battle against each other! |
| That was a pretty decent start. I feel bad for Inuyashiki since the people around him seem to not appreciate or care about him. This should be an interesting show to follow and I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes. Also i really like the OP song. |

| I just read the manga yesterday just because, read 1 chapter but ended up readin the whole thing, it's quite entertaining, but not anything amazing, it also suffered the same problem with gantz though, the writer just have no idea how to progress story. I didnt expect anything from anime, but man that was awful with crappy OP theme, shitty CG, shitty VA. ED theme is good though |

| Good start. The OP was great and I liked the ED. I feel bad for the old guy. He looks too old for a man in his late fifties and doesn't get much respect from his own family. Those kids got what they deserved. Now everyone knows how much of a dick they are. |

| I thought that was a pretty good episode. Story is interesting, and by god that OP is incredible. Easily the best OP of the season. The CGI didn't bother me. Some of the character movements and when Hanako was in CG were kinda awkward. But overall, I thought it looked decent enough. I think all the CGI haters should really stop and think about this question: How do you think it would have looked with 2D instead of 3D animation? Those transformation scenes? I guarantee they'd look worse in 2D. People need to realize that not everything will work in 2D. |

| What a good start! Old man got a whole new chance to live. Why can't this happen in a real life? It's really interesting how his life will change after that. I guess his first move will be finding that another guy. What next? Will he become a Japanese Robocop? I won't touch manga. I don't want any spoilers. Very solid start, I want more. 5/5 |
