| Maybe the best episode so far of the season but I with there was some crumbs left earlier about colorblindness. I don't have it so I don't know that are the common colors people can or can't see so the 'mystery' seemed to kinda come out of nowhere. |

It's more obvious in the novels since it states her inner monologue, but ever since her original baby swapping theory whenever something about Jinshi crops up, she basically goes "whelp better stop thinking about this" and moves on to something else. |
| Yeah the trick was obvious enough but the slow takeover of the outsiders plot was interesting. They were really in for the long game, real long game. Also be like Maomao, figured out Jinshi's identity ages ago but wants to have nothing to do with it and not believe it so much that she's now confused. Maomao can focus on growing 15 cm for now. Xiaolan's so precious btw. |

| I like how Emperor despite being the most importan guy around still has this very simple design and modest clothing, making him barely distinguishable from regular eunuch. It perfectly underlines how chill and humble he is. |

| Loved the episode! "The shrine of choosing" is already one of my favorite episodes so far, next to the last 5 episodes from the first season! I can't wait for the next ones. The plot is so interesting, and from the light novels' plot, it is going to be worth it! I just loved the music when Jinshi opens the final door and reveals the "secret". Does someone know when the OST is going to be released? Or if the soundtrack is already available somewhere? |
| Interesting episode, although i didn't really see any point to it except just raising Maomao's suspicion of Jinshi being something bigger than "just an eunuch". Loved that they brought up Lakan though, really missed that character. Hope he returns sooner or later. |
| Yet another 10/10 episode. That warning to "your majesty - Jinshi" regarding Maomao (outside blood) was epic! |

| Have so much questions about this episode. Why (in Jinshi's flashback) was the ''current emperor'' being dragged by eunuchs based on his mother i.e. that era's ''Empress dowager'' order? And what about the 'gold pinecone' that he dropped? Also, should the bloodline be too thick, thus all the princes were having same traits (e.g. fell ill to the same pandemic, colorblindness), shouldn't most of these brothers/princes picked the same correct route easily? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________  |

| interesting episode theme. colorblindness. I kinda figured it out when the doors were similar, having a decent knowledge of red/green problems here in the USA made it easy fun episode, I wish Maomao would pry more into jinshi's past lol 4.5/5 |

| I'd say he looked serious because of his actual standing - be it brother or, according to theory, son of the current emperor. In the last room he even said that he didn't see a red door. He could have been lying about it but I doubt he did. |

| Fun red/green colourblindness. I do like how the emperor is consistently shown as kind of just a chill guy. Sort of goes against what one might typically expect from an emperor in this time period. |

| @uncleqrow Not sure if it's obvious for everyone, as maybe it's because I was trained to work with my voice in a previous work (and taught to pay attention about that kind of thing when communicating with customers ) that it's so immediately obvious to me, but regardless, Aoi Yuuki is almost always smiling when it's Shaoran related (either speaking to her or internal monologue about her). She is almost never smiling in other situations in this show. Rejoicing, regularly, but simply smiling, very little. Smile can easily be heard if you smile enough when speaking, and Aoi Yuuki is very intentionally making it heard whenever it's about Shaoran. |

| Look at that. Emperor is into shipping. How funny. Okay. Less than ten minutes into the episode and I already solved the colored doors riddle and figured out their relevance to the Royal Family's affairs. I feel proud of myself. Oh, and it seems Xiaolan is working hard at school. So happy for her~ 4/5 episode. I enjoyed the lore surrounding the origins of the Royal Family and their way of choosing successors to the throne. Not to mention it was also nice to see the Emperor receiving some much needed characterization. Dark_beater said: got confused again about Jinshi's actual identity. can anyone please explain??!! Jinshi assumes he's the Emperor's brother but some episodes have kinda implied he might actually be the Emperor's son. Remember the episode with Ah-Duo supposedly losing her baby and Xiaomao's baby swapping theory. |

| I dont think I could have figured out this puzzle too easily myself. I never heard of red green colour blindness causing improved night vision i just have heard people with blue eyes see better in the dark than people with brown eyes. |
