Welcome and Hello stranger! :D
Well, I watch anime almost since 20 years. (~17-18 years) ๐๐ I already started watching when i was still a (little) child. I actually haven't added quite a lot of shows here because I watched them in german dub. And I still watch the dub. It's quite good for most/some anime. Some of the anime I watched as a child were Dragonball/Z, Digimon, Pokemon, Monster Rancher, Meitentei Conan/Detective Conan, Hamtaro, DoReMi, Ranma ½, etc.etc. Others that I didn't include are ghibli movies like My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Mononoke Hime, Spirited Away, Grave of Fireflies, etc. And other than that I also already have watched Psycho Pass, Magi, Code Geass(season 1 and 2) and some other titles I don't have in mind right now (lol) in german dub. (but I will probably include them someday when I watch them in sub). My "truer"/more accurate rating for some anime/manga/manhwa + reasons/motives for some of the anime/manga/manhwa I rated: Death Note = 6.5/10, reasoning: I basically like the story/plot and characters but I just don't enjoy the style of the anime ((on a technical level) (if that makes sense ๐ )) and the second half of the anime also seems to be rushed at some points from what I saw in the anime and heard from people who have read the manga. I recently also started reading the manga because of this reasons. Kotonoha no Niwa/The Garden of Words = 7/10, my rating for this anime stays/is like this because of it's length. It could be a 9 or probably even 10/10 if it was longer. I loved the story, the characters, animation and I also shed a few tears in the last minutes. So it was amazing but some things felt rushed and that's the reasons why I on a more rational objective way just can't and won't rate this movie higher then a 7/10. But I plan to read the manga because I like the story and the characters so much. Coquelicot-zaka kara/From Up on Poppy Hill = 8.5/10, to be honest I don't really have anything to say about this movie. It was nice, and beautiful. The characters, the animation and arstyle (it's Studio Ghibli duh :D), the sound/soundtrack/voice acting, the story, etc.. it was all beautiful. Not impressive or earth-shattering but still just nice. ๐โค๏ธ And there were a couple of moments which made me a bit emotional. ๐ฅบ๐ฅน๐ But nothing major. ๐คทโ๏ธ:) Naruto (the whole series/The Franchise (so Naruto + Shippuden) = 8.5–9/10, but my separate are Naruto 8.5–9/10 and Naruto Shippuden 7–7.5/10. Bonjour Koiaji Pâtisserie = 6.5/10. Kekkai Sensen/Blood Blockade Battlefront season1= 8.5/10. Mousou Dairinin/Paranoia Agent (11.03.24) = 9.8/10, so its been a while since I actually watched and finished Paranoia Agent and since (back) then (it's been maybe already half a year.. ๐๐ญ๐) I (actually) always wanted to make this more extended rating. But either because of (the right) time, my forgetfulness (lol), me being not in mood for it/this, me being not sure how I want to formulate this/myself (lol ๐๐ญ๐), etc.. I didn't do it. Until now.(lol) Well, before it's too late (meaning, me forgetting my rating and opinion of this anime, xD): About half of the episodes of this anime are a 10/10 for me. The other half is still atleast a amazing 9.5/10 for me. The gap between a 100% percent 10/10 to a generally speaking 10/10 (so a 9.8/10) for me is extremely small. And this is not your typical "popcorn kino/cinema" where you can casually watch it without being too focused/immersed or where you don't (have to) think much while watching. And that's why I'm also more critical towards it, even though Paranoia Agent is still generally speaking a 10/10 for me. It's just not (a) complete "Masterpiece", "perfect in every way", "something I've never seen/watched in that way and will never see again", etc. You get what I'm saying. lol (I hope atleast xD). But I'm also not nitpicky with my rating (if I were my overall rating wouldn't be a 10/10, that also goes for Shinsekai Yori btw). ((Since I'm not entirely sure I'm 100% satisfied with this rating and all that explanation (lol) but since I'm not sure what to write more I'm stopping for now (atleast). This extended rating isn't so bad soo.. ๐ค๐คทโ๏ธ๐ซฃ)) Shinsekai Yori/From the New World (11.04.24) = 9,8/10. 2 things are my main "criticisms". The first one is just my personal experience with Shinsekai Yori, respectively how the series felt for me. There was just something lacking for me so that I would and could 100% and without a doubt say, "this is perfection", "(This is) a Masterpiece" or something similar. I just think/believe that a series like this can only be really considered a "Masterpiece" if there isn't anything you can critize. That's why I'm more "harsher" in my personal rating. And the second thing was the drama and emotions. I know/can see and understand what others feel when they say what/how (emotions) they felt while watching Shinsekai Yori. And I also almost had the same experience, but it wasn't that impactful, emotional and/or nerve-wracking or whatever others who are of this opinion use for words to express what they felt throughout their watching experience. It just wasn't that special or impactful for me. The story, the characters and the world just didn't grab me like that. Kusuriya no Hitorigoto/The Apothecary Diaries (manga) ( 30.04.24) = 9/10.(more accurate rating = 9,375/10). I add Kusuriya no Hitorigoto here because my reason(s)/point(s) for my rating is/are (a bit) different than another story I will also add here after KnH. Kusuriya is in it's earlier parts already a strong 8/10 and just gradually transforms into a fantastic 9/10. The story, characters and the drama just get better over time and especially MaoMao (our beloved Protagonist <3) alone is a fantastic 9,5/10 as a character and young women. You just gradually like (or even love) MaoMao more and more. ๐ฅฐ<3 Finding Camellia (manhwa) (30.04.24) = 9/10. (more accurate rating = 9,125/10). Finding Camellia isn't a total 9/10 or even more. And it also wasn't like this since quite a bit of time. The strongest points/reasons for this high rating was always the art, (partly the drama), and my enjoyment. The characters and the story weren't anything bad but also not that good and well written. Those two points were a 9/10 (story/drama) and a 8,5/10 (characters). Since then I would 100% say the story/drama and the characters have improved a lot. So that's a wonderful thing. ^^ But I will still leave my rating as is. (atleast for now) Spy X Family S2 (30.04.24) = 8,5/10. (more accurate rating = 8,75/10). Well, I really don't have anything (or atleast much) to say about my rating and opinion.. ๐คทโ๏ธ The only thing I would probably say/add is that Spy X Family S2 is more like a very good – fantastic 8/10 than a 9/10 for me.. ๐ค๐คทโ๏ธ ((I'm writing this little explanation quite late but still ๐คทโ๏ธ (Date:12.07.24); I'm writing it here, so that there will be no misunderstanding/so that everything is understandable (for me lol and for others who look at/over my profile))= What I meant with the sentence before the long bracket is even tho my more accurate/precise rating is more like a 9/10, my personal rating with how I felt the season really was and how I would rate it on more personal level ((so without any kind of rating system (which I don't specifically have)), it is/was simply more like a very good – fantastic 8/10. Nothing more nothing less. Tokyo Revengers S3 (finished watching on 17.02.24, writing this here on 30.04.24) = 8/10. (more accurate rating = 7,875/10). Well the only thing I would maybe say is that I really liked how Takemichi (the Protagonist) has developed until this season as a character and person. And I personally can't really understand the dislike/hate most people who watch(ed) and/or (have) read TR have with him. lol๐คทโ๏ธ Kusuriya no Hitorigoto/The Apothecary Diaries (anime) S1 = 9/10. (more accurate rating = 9,25/10). Kusuriya no Hitorigoto S1 is a fantastic adaption of the first 40 chapters of the manga. ((I know that there's also a LN (Light Novel and a WN (WebNovel) which is also the original story (the anime is a adaption of the LN but the WN is actually the original and first story which the rest are adapted from)). Well, whatever. I really liked/enjoyed all of the hints and extras throughout the first season and the 2 openings and endings. The voice acting was also phenomenal. The attention to detail, etc. KnH S1 is a fantastic (but not perfect) adaption. I'm excited for S2 and maybe even more in the future.^^๐ฅฐ๐ซถ One Piece ((The current anime adaption by Toei (animation)) = 7/10. One Piece with its current anime adaption (the one by Toei) is a very mediocre 7/10 at best. If it weren't a adaption of a source material (the manga) but an original anime I would probably give the series a rating of 8 or 9/10 because it's not perfect but still a fantastic series (fantastic epic), with an amazing story, characters, worldbuilding, mysteries, etc. But... yeah.. (you can guess it (lmao)๐ฌ๐๐๐๐ The anime (by Toei) is very inconsistent throughout the whole series. No matter the infamous pacing, the inconsistent animation/artstyle (and every other thing that either goes with those two things, that's "similar" to them, etc.), directing, padding, etc. (i don't have every problem in my head so I only write those I have in mind now). The only two things that are really good about the anime are the voice acting and the openings/endings. Even the soundtrack and the soundeffects are either repetitive to this day (I still love lots of them lol but cmon..), or just shit (I'm looking at you Wano ๐๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ซฃ๐ญ). That's why I won't give the current adaption by Toei a rating higher than a 7/10. Now ofc the manga also isn't perfect but the critism's are only nitpicks like the retcon about Luffy's df (which in turn only applies to it's official type and name, so.. formalities lol) Zoro (lol). Zoro is sadly the laziest written and most boring strawhat. His only cool/good moments now are when he fights. (when it was first introduced/shown, so not anymore but I still count it) Toki's df Naruto (The anime) ((after my 1st rewatch with my sis (her first time watching the anime)) = 8/10. ((more accurate rating = 8,625/10), yes I know that would be more like an 9/10 but I'm staying by an 8/10.)) Mimi wo Sumaseba/Whisper of the Heart (anime movie) (I'm writing this on 18.06.24) (watched on 15.06.24) = 10/10 (more accurate rating = 9,8/10). Well I'm writing this title here, because of it's rating and because this was a rewatch. I've already watched Mimi wo Sumaseba a couple of years ago (at most 5 years and minimum more than 3 years ago) in the german dub ((a fantastic dub (in my opinion)). My previous rating (9/10) for this movie was for my first watching experience a couple of years ago and how I (more or less) remembered the movie (lol). But now after watching it again in sub I must say it's even better than how I remembered it. ๐ ๐ณ๐คฉโค๏ธ๐๐ฏ๐ค I loved everything about the movie. It's characters, the story, the romance, the music and soundtrack (and Shizuku's singing :D๐ฅฐ๐๐๐ง), the animation and artstyle, etcetera. It was basically perfect but not entirely. (Hence my more precise rating). The two things that made me "critize" the movie a bit were: The animation (not the artstyle) -> the animation isn't bad or anything and it's still very good for a movie that came out in '95 but (also in comparison to other Ghibli movies) it's just still not that great. And the other point/the other thing I critize is the characters. Respectively some of the side characters (e.g. Shizuku's parents and sis). Their characterisation isn't bad but also not really great. It's mostly "just" fine, which can't be helped since this is a movie and not series where they could have spended more time with those characters but it's still something I (so to say) "critize". Mimi wo Sumaseba/Whisper of the Heart (manga) (I'm writing this on 27.06.24) (read on 25.06.24) = 8/10 (more accurate rating = 7,75/10). Well there are quite some differences between the manga and the movie. Those differences don't necessarily change the story that much or rather they just go at some points a different direction than how the story is developed and progesses in the movie. But at it's core it's basically still the same story. Tho there are (still) infact some minor/major differences between the manga and the movie in the storline and the characters. ((legend = minor/major; as in up to interpretation (e.g. for some people some differences are major and for others they aren't; so it's basically up to interpretation)). For example the dreams of the two MC's are partly differenly portrayed and also in case of the female MC (Shizuku) it's a bit rushed and sudden towards the end (in the manga) (and also in comparison to the movie). In the movie her dream and hobby are more detailed and the movie goes a lot more in depth with them. Then the side characters: some of the side characters from the manga literally don't exist in the movie or they are atleast partly differently portrayed and written. Plus they are partly connected/tied together with the main plot and in that way also (obviously) tied together with the two main characters (Shizuku and Seiji). And some character roles are reversed/(ex)changed. (partly also the ones I've already "implied" to) Etc. I also don't want to say that the differences between the manga and the movie are bad or something like that. They are just there, noticeable and some things are just (maybe) better portrayed and more in depth in the movie than the manga ((I already mentioned those; also with maybe I mean it's just partly up for interpretation in my opinion (I mean everyone rates differently and/or on a different scale, so.. ๐คทโ๏ธ)) Other than that there's also the artstyle I would mention. It's very very good but nothing major. The character expression's, landscapes and buildings/infrastructure look very good but some panels are rather empty.. So.. there's nothing more to say about it. Mimi wo Sumaseba: Shiawase na Jikan/Wisper of the Heart: Happy Time (manga) (I'm writing this on 01.07.24) (read on 30.06.24) = 8/10 (more accurate rating = 7,625/10). Mimi wo Sumaseba: SnJ is a short manga consisting of 2 chapters. The first chapter is a continuation and end of the orginal story and the second one is similar in it's elements and artstyle but still a different story with different characters. Well I (probably) won't say much about both (lol), except: The first chapter is set in the last year of Junior High for the characters, so they naturally start to think about which High School they all want to go. And they (Shizuku's friends) also make Shizuku worry about whether Seiji will go to a High School that is far away. Shizuku the way she is, worries too much about it and her imagination doesn't make it any better either. xD Too basically sum it up, lol. Well and the second chapter is like I already mentioned, sort of a different story. The characters are different in names, looks and partly personality wise. So the two main characters and the side characters. But the elements of the story are still basically mostly the same. The two MC's now just don't have dreams/hobbies they want to and/or try to pursue. And there are no cats now, which play a role in the story(line). Neko no Ongaeshi/The Cat Returns (anime) (I'm writing this on 12.07.24) (watched on 11.07.24) = 10/10 (more accurate rating 9,85/10). This movie is a Spin-Off to Mimi wo Sumaseba and it's basically Shizuku's first official story/book. This isn't mentioned in the movie and I haven't read the manga yet, so I don't know and can't say if it is different in the manga. But it's 99,9% Shizuku's first official book. However, this was a rewatch (1st rewatch), I loved the movie, it was better than how I remembered it and I would probably rewatch it again. But not (anymore) for now. (lol) I really enjoyed Haru's character arc. From her being kind of awkward to being more confident in herself and the fact that she has a better idea of what she really wants. ((I can't really say/formulate the last thing (about what she wants) in a better way respectively I don't know how lol ๐ค๐๐ ๐๐คทโ๏ธ)). I also really liked the Baron and Muta/Moon. Toto was a solid character and his dynamic with Muta/Moon was quite amusing. Generally speaking the chemistry between Haru, Humbert (the Baron), Muta/Moon and Toto was amazing. 3 great "men", loyal, trustworthy and helpful new friends that Haru has made. (Not to mention her little crush on the Baron, she develops over the movie lol ๐คญ๐๐ ). The Cat King was a solid antagonist, Prince Lune, Yuki, the 2 main palace servants ((that servant who talked quite a lot with Haru (e.g. when she still didn't know/realize that she was being indirectly proposed to marriage) and the King's adviser)) we're also solid characters. And also Haru's mother and her bestfriend. The biggest reason for my more accurate rating is (again) (like in the previous movie; basically the main story to this movie) partly because of the animation and in this case now just my overall enjoyment of the movie. The animation is still great and beautiful but in comparison to other Ghibli movies I've watched in the past, it's just not flawless enough. And as for my enjoyment of the movie: I absolutely enjoyed Neko no Ongaeshi. But it was nowhere near as good as Mimi wo Sumaseba for me. That's it. ๐คทโ๏ธ Some of my most liked characters (not necessarily favorites but some are) female/male/non-binary: Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook, Jinbe ((this are all the strawhats (besides Luffy (the MC) from One Piece) and i love them all ๐ฅบ๐ฅบโค๏ธ)), some other One Piece characters like are Ace, Sabo (I just love ASL โค๏ธ), Vivi ((and Karoo) honorable strawhats)), Coby, Carrot, Yamato, Law, Hancock, Garp, Dadan (best mom), Momonosuke, Kinemon, (Ceasar), Caribou, Nekomamushi (I love this cat ๐ฅบ๐ฅบโค๐), Big Mom, Pedro, Otama, Ivankov, Kuma, Vegapunk. Some other most liked characters for me (from other anime): Yona, Hak, plus the dragons (from Akatsuki no Yona/Yona of the Dawn), Sawako and Kazehaya (from Kimi ni Todoke), Futaba and Kou (from Ao Haru Ride/Blue Spring Ride), Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Hinata, Neji, Gaara, Shikamaru, Temari, Kakashi, Iruka, Jiraya, Konohamaru, Orochimaru (i just like him as a character, he's one of the greatest antagonist's in Naruto), Pain, Nagato, Yahiko, Konan.(from Naruto), Sakuta, Mai and Kaede from Seishun Buta Yarou Series/Bunny Girl Senpai. Well other than that I don't specifically prefer a genre or demographic. I watch practically everything. And I also don't have a specific rating system. I just try to rate everything I watch and read objective and –subjectively. That's why I rate the One Piece manga and anime different for example. The manga is practically perfect in my opinion (just my way of speaking) but the anime isn't. The biggest issue about the anime is it's pacing. It's pacing, animation and directing (for example) are all just inconsistent throughout the anime. Hence my rating. (even if it's still biased lol) And I also only rated OG Dragonball from the Dragonball franchise because of.. reasons. :D Anime I watch(ed)/started watching with my sister: –Ao Haru Ride = completed –Kimi ni Todoke (S1&2) = completed –Spy x Family (S1 Part 1&2) = completed, edit= Spy X Family S2 (30.01.24)= completed (this season is only now complete because my sis only wanted to watch it every now and then) (I also haven't put Spy X Family S2 on completed in my list yet, because I still have to do an edit (regarding my opinion and rating of the season), edit (01.05.24) = (now really) completed (finally did the edit yesterday) –One Piece Red (movie, she doesn't really watch/read One Piece yet but she knows the story on the surface and main characters, she watched the movie with me because of my birthday :D) = completed –Kimi no Na wa = completed –Code Geass (sub) = on hold, edit; update (07.04.24): my sister has started watching CG with a school friend on Discord. So someday when I pick it up again I will watch it by myself again. –Tokyo Revengers season 2= (I watched the first 2 episodes alone, then from episode 2 with my sis because she started watching TR before me but now I'm up do date with the anime), updated update:(03.04.2023) completed, (The update from before was a mistake/misinformation ๐ ๐ค๐คทโ๏ธ) –Tokyo Revengers S3: episodes watched so far: 1 (we already watched the first ep of this season when it still aired), since we (my sis and I) have finally finished Spy X Family S2 we can now continue watching TR S3 ((yaaaay ๐ฅณ๐ lol, I'm not even a fan of TR, I'm just happy/glad that we can (hopefully) keep watching and finish this season. ๐คง๐ฎ๐จ๐๐ ๐ญ)), edit (01.05.24) = completed (since 17.02.24) (I only just made this edit, because I still wanted to do an extended rating + add my opinion/reason(s) for my rating before I put TR S3 on completed) –Akatsuki no Yona (S1+3 OVA's)= (we watched the first episode with the german dub but switched to sub because we don't like the voice of the MC(Yona) and partly cringed at the german version of the script/dialog book. XD๐ฌ, update: completed –Kamisama Hajimemashita/Kamisama Kiss (S1, +1st two OVA's, finished, update, S2, OVA's), update: completed –Naruto= it's my first real rewatch but my sister's first time watching Naruto. Luckily we didn't watch every damn filler. lol Luckily I didn't have to suffer, lmao ๐ญ๐๐ซฃ, update (04.05.24) = completed (on 12.03.24). Woohoo!! ๐ฅณ๐ ๐ญ๐๐ซฃ –Naruto Shippuden= episodes watched so far = 2 (14.03.24), episodes watched so far = 4 (16.03.24), episodes watched so far = 6 (23.03.24), episodes watched so far = 8 (07.05.24), episodes watched so far = 11 (22.05.24), episodes watched so far = 14 (30.05.24), episodes watched so far = 21 (01.06.24), episodes watched so far = 23 (03.06.24). – Kusuriya no Hitorigoto/The Apothecary Diaries: we started the first season (I believe) when their where already the first 12 episodes out, update (01.05.24) = completed (on 27.03.24). To end this here I will only also say that I will (maybe) probably edit this "about me" here in the future. But for now It's ok as it is. Oh and as you can already probably now see english isn't my first language. xD I speak german, (more or less) turkish (but I can only mostly understand the language) and english. (although technically kurdish/kurdi respectively "kurmanci" is my mother tongue but I have yet to learn it since my mother didn't taught it to me and my siblings when we were younger). |

Actually "Life Begins at Forty" is a book by Walter B. Pitkin.
Naah, not really. It was simple as fuk. I just had no idea
-I lived in denial until last year when I finally came across a post about how to post pictures/stuff on Mal.
Then searched up tutorials on Youtube etc.
-Mal works in strange ways lol. Though I was delighted when I figured it out, and as you can see, I added a whole lot of things on my profile hehe
So don't worry.
Also, thanks for the info. I'll go get the meme from there.
Edit: Oh, I didn't see the second message. Thank you!
Actually, this was the first time I had seen this particular one, which got me wanting.
Though tbh, there's plenty of ways you can share images. (Like uploading it on a site like https://imgbb.com/) and sharing the BBcode. Or uploading it on an image site and sharing the link etc)
That's how we do things here on Myanimelist
-Haha, I have trouble concentrating so when there are too many emojis, it becomes difficult to read through the text lol. Hence the joke.
Of course, not saying you shouldn't use emojis. Do whatever the fuck you want!
Also, don't mind my forum reply, it was a joke
finished watching arabasta arc. thanks again
