Good to know Kenshin got hismelf a new sword but he decided to depart to avoid drawing more attention to himself.

It was an alright episode, following more Karous's side of her adventure too. She's still obviously looking for Kenshin. Yahiko looks priceless in his outfit. Knowing Karou, she always takes on a lot of responsibilities and that's not different this time.

He should’ve actually left a while ago lol, but yeah, after everything he’s been through he does deserve a little vacation, except it wasn’t exactly a vacation, plus he didn’t have his sakabato too, so yeah, this indeed was a good time for Kenshin to leave, when all is said and done. Btw, I was really waiting for this one moment when Misao would meet Kaoru and Yahiko, I mean it was about time plus Kaoru does deserve to know about Kenshin after she has come such a long way.

Not rubbing salt in the wounds by that misunderstanding tho, lol. Anyway, after hinting several times in the past few episodes, finally Hiko Seijuro made an appearance. I mean Kenshin really does need to charge himself by learning a few things or two, as we all know how he kind of “lost” to Sojiro just a few episodes back. So yeah, a good old training regime would actually help here if he and they wanna beat Shishio. Btw, that brief moment of reunion between Kenshin and Kaoru was sweet:)

Kenshin doesn't want to drag Misao and the elder further into his mission than he already has and departs to find his master Hiko Seijuro. Kaoru and Yahiko have taken up jobs at Shirobeko, where Misao goes to cool her thoughts as she feels she and her clan could be of use to Kenshin if he weren't so stubborn. It's there, she meets the friends from Tokyo Kenshin mentioned. Tanuki vs. Weasel! Misao being someone Kenshin travelled and lived with doesn't bode well with Kaoru, she didn't mean to phrase it like that.
It's all clearer when the flare signal for Hiko Seijuro's discovery is noticed. Misao understands Kaoru is determined to see Kenshin despite the magnitude of his mission.

The Oniwanban have gathered a lot of intel on Seijuro, one being that someone who has mastered Hiten Mitsurugi takes up the title, which Kenshin has not, a sign he has something left to learn. That's exactly why Kenshin visited his master after 15 years, to learn the ultimate technique so Shishio may be defeated without him reverting to a Hitokiri. Feeling strongly about what Kenshin's master said to him, Yahiko and Misao burst in, Kenshin sees the people he left behind, including Kaoru.

Yeah, I remember this from the Manga. His Master refused to teach him further skills, he left at 14 to join in the Revolution/Uprisings. And the Hard feelings still remain.

It’s always upsetting when Kenshin has to leave his friends for their own good, it makes a lot of sense why he does it but you also gotta feel for the people he’s leaving behind, they want to help him and be around him but he always pushes them away, it was the same here with Misao, but much like Yahiko and Kaoru, she’s not about to back down after being told no lol. This led to the meeting of the babes, Kaoru and Misao face to face, about time it happened, and although it was a comedic meeting it was also great for Kaoru so she could finally learn where Kenshin is.

And this time they’ve found our boy meeting up with his old master Hiko Seijuro to finish his training that he never completed since he left to join the war, at 14 even which is insanity, at 14 I was watching anime for the first time lol. But unfortunately for Kenshin it’s not looking like it’s gonna be easy for him to get what he needs from his master since he messed up once already, but hopefully with the arrival of the goofy gang things might turn around, and speaking of them, damn that reunion of Kaoru and Kenshin made for such a good ending to the episode, got me a bit teary eyed there ngl, I’m very happy for Kaoru being able to see her man again, let’s just hope he doesn’t push her away this time.

Man this episode went by in a flash! I knew Kenshin as he existed a few episodes ago wouldn’t be strong enough to take on Shishio. The question was would he revert into his old Hitokiri ways or find a new source of strength, and I reckon it’ll be some combination of learning this ultimate technique as well as realising how important Kaoru is to him.

Even though it seems counterintuitive, her being there actually could make him stronger with having someone to protect and fight for. Also looking forward to her interacting with Misao in this arc! This episode also drove home the importance of that flashback last week that people thought was “filler” important to understand Kenshin’s past motivations before we can move forward.

Kenshin seeking his former master to learn the final technique of his sword style. Kenshin wants to get stronger after that battle with the broom head was so close. He realizes that in his current state of not wanting to revert to being a man slayer again. His master Seijuro doesn't quite see eye to eye with Kenshin on this issue. Being upset that Kenshin used their sword style for a particular side during the revolution which is not its intention. That power is too strong for any faction to wield responsibly. Kenshin getting a surprise reunion with both Yahiko and Kaoru showing up to his meeting with Seijuro. Kaoru running into Misao at the restaurant and both realizing they know Kenshin. Misao upset he's run off on his own rightfully teaming up with Kaoru to find him at this meeting. Kenshin has a lot of mending to do with past relationships, both from the distant past and the not so distant past. If he's going to become stronger without reverting back to being a man slayer then Kenshin must be willing to ask for help.

Oh damn thats Kenshin master, huh? Unexpectedly quite eccentric to become a hidden potter but nevertheless still have the cool aura within him since he undoubtedly rejected Kenshin request to continue the school. And for make it worst to Kenshin, Misao bout time meet with Kaoru and finished the long-wait reunion among them. Ain't no way those two first topic was about romance, but gladly the only boy there, Yahiko revert the topic back to the action only. I like his dynamic with Misao, excited over Kenshin progress, huh? Hopefully whatever the title of the next episode meaning can bring the more intense moment to the show....

The truth or pay the bill nice choice there. Kenshin knows full well that the enemy would send men after his allies so them leaving was the moral choice. Kaoru looked nice in that waitress outfit. Still quite the meeting she ended up having with Misao. Nice to finally be able to meet Kenshin's master. Not to mention see Kaoru finally reunite with Kenshin.

Finally! The man, the legend, Hiko Seijuurou is here. His 96' design still clears tho. Yeah, the 90s being the only period of time where massive chins on male characters actually looked good.

Anyways, another solid episode though I think it could have gone better without the excessive comedy during Kaoru and Misao's encounter.

P.S.: Tae's sister is a menace lol.

Its all in manga. But in 90's they didn't follow manga for this matter.

Some parts are going diferent from the film, so the history gets imprevisible: nice. I really like when the production dont make fights out of real like that sword that was like steel and at same time like a rubber. I stopped saying my opinion because i dont know if they looking to fix what they doing. The first season start like "ok" and ended like "this is one of the best animes i fucking ever seen in my entire life". They could put values and techniques that people can say "if i train i might get to execute this" like first season(2023).

Good episode with some nice (and not-so-heartwarming) reunions here. Good for Kaoru though for getting to see Kenshin again after all this time, even if the circumstances Kenshin is trying to prepare for is more than just normal travel and vacations. Kenshin does need to polish himself to be able to take on Shishio and people like Sojiro whom he could not handle effectively the way he is right now, now whether his master who Kenshin left in the past is willing and able to bring even more out of him, remains to be seen. Misao and Yahiko are like two peas in a pod.

He got his sword, and now he wants to scram XD huh. There are a lot of dangerous guys lurking around. Way to make an exit scene tho. Kenshin would be alone fighting solo, although the yelling tactic doesn't exactly work.

Funny coincidence to have her run into Kenshin's old friend group at the diner tho. Link up and learn about the guy running off on his own.

They all want to look out for him, even though he is the best fighter of the lot. The power of friendship (and more) drive them.

And now they crash the party. Kaori and gang are back with Kenshin. Would be nice of they could coax the master to give them a training arc. They probably need it for the dangers ahead.

Great episode! I think it was one of the best, so far.
I loved the interactions between Misao and Kaoru when they made their acquaintance and each one with their reasons and feelings for Kenshin.
Kenshin gets to meet again with his master, Seijuurou Hiko, to complete the training and to dominate the Hiten Mitsurugi style. It won't be easy, because his master is very stubborn and our protagonist will have a very hard training, I guess. But it will be so important, 'cause it's the battle that will define the future of a country like Japan.
But the final of the episode was priceless. Kaoru and Kenshin meet again. She is relieved to see him again, but at the same time, is afraid of losing him again.
And from here, we know that very important events are going to happen.

Ok Kenshin got new sword and is meeting his master again. Honestly surprised to see that Kenshin's master is still alive and just around making pottery. So Kenshin when out became the hittori at 14? Damn. So without even fully mastering his swordsmanship with his master, he became the strongest. From this episode quite like Kenshin's master.

Kenshin wanting to leave Aoiya immediately, Misao's Gramps will not let him off easily off the hook, considering the trouble he's been pulling with the Shishio clan, involving Seiku's family. The only man left to find of Seijuro Hiko, it would be better to leave things to Kenshin himself to settle matters, and this angers Misao to a point that she can't let loose of the affair.

Both Kaoru and Yahiko being stuck at Shirobeko with Tae's sister until they can find Kenshin, the coincidence of Misao meeting the two at the restaurant certainly gives them a lead, as much as Gramps had a lead to Seijuro Hiko, hiding under an alias. But still, Kaoru is very adamant on wanting to see Kenshin after misunderstanding Misao's private time with the Hitokiri himself, whom he has finally met up with another master of his past, who's now into pottery. Of course, it's a matter of urgency for the Battosai who doesn't want to revert to his Hitokiri self when facing Shishio, and his Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu is critical to his strength to fix the turmoil that is the Meiji Government that could hide its infamy, and with Shishio's resurrection, creates the clash of the two era in conflict with each other.

The reunion with Yahiko and (more importantly) Kaoru was not what Kenshin expected, but he'll definitely have a lot to tell.
