is the old man that was talking to Kizue is Aramaki???

i mean he looks like him not to mention same VA and all.

Ishikawa is badly beat, but he's not giving up and willing to bring the other plutonium to spring 8 :P

it's good Motoko and Section 9 was able to relay the message to Kizue about the attack and such.

damn it seems gouda is now starting his play, with him being the producer and all.

cannot wait for the last 3 episodes.

i wonder how will they resolve all of this??????

the music is awesome as always :)

fight hard Section 9!!!!!!

It's Aramaki's brother. You might recall he was mentioned sometime back in season 1.

Yep! But at 1st I thought it was the Chief [because of the voice] using another person to talk with Kuze but halfway to their conversation I remembered that Chief has a brother..Last 3 episodes!

Looks like...war has begun. IMO, 2nd GIG wasn't as greatly done as 1st GIG. I have noticed that the main plot of 2nd GIG focused too much on the skirmishes between the CIS douche (the scarface), and Kuze, to the point of downplaying Section 9, as if the whole incident was just a battle of attrition and patience between the ultranationalist scarface and the Indiv 11 went pro-refugee Kuze. Throughout the whole series (thus far), all I could see was the PM being used by the nationalist secretary and the ministers (along with the scarface), while Section 9 was desperately digging for information about both sides while trying to prevent a war, which is in a totally different level compared to them. IMO, the 1st GIG was more convincing in that sense, being caused by a seemingly inconspicuous hacker turned masses into hysteria and copycat incidents to surface.

That bastard... Goda is such a clever man. To isolate them from their leader like he did was pure genius. Too bad he's on the wrong side. Hope he get his ass kicked.

Now all the Major can hope is that Kuze cooperate. She need to prove to the ONU inspector that the atomic bomb was just a set up. If she don't do it in time, Dejima will be a bloodbath, even more since they started shooting first.

Plot it even more complicated, more than a third wheel, excellent story.
Grandiose the way in which it is being narrated! : D
A series that deserves another vision in the future, too many and too many links to other philosophical concepts to assimilate.
Drawings discrete, not great because you always have ups and downs in construction.
Animations excellent and very nice OST.
It will be so naive as to be the S9 fall in the plane of Gouda? I think not!
I think Gouda will have a nice surprise from the S9 and politicians.

One wrong move is all you need to start a war. The kid with the sniper rifle, we can assume that had lots of adrenalin rush through him, clouding his judgement and forcing him to make a rush decision, which, politically, puts the rebels in a disadvantage in the international waters, because they shot first.

The Prime Minister seems to be a puppet, or hold no power within her own position, which, makes me wonder how she got to be Prime Minister in the first place.
Politics 101: You surround yourself with people loyal to you, while removing or giving lower power to those who might oppose you and keeping them in check.

And for last, the background music during the conversation between Motoko and Ishikawa reminded me a lot of Requiem For A Dream with a dubstep flavor thrown in.

(This kinda captures it better.)

Was Aramaki's brother voiced by the same guy that voiced Aramaki in the english dub? After I watched the episode I couldn't come to a conclusion whether it was a disguised Aramaki or not since the voice seemed so similar. The voice also strangely reminded me of the one from General Iroh from Avatar.

Also can't help but feel the chief would make a wayyyyy better PM then Kayabuki.

Yep same voice alright. Can't be the chief though since he isn't in Dejima (that's how it's spelled right?).

Man, Torukia is one of the coolest OST tracks in any medium, nevermind anime. Just gives so much energy to any scene.

They're gonna meet up with a terrorist bringing nukes? Sounds like a crazy plan that go really wrong. Besides their enemies could easily point to this action and accuse them of treason. I hope the major knows what's she doing.

Deciding not to fire arms at all onto the military so the entire media and spectators would side with the refugees, morally a good plan to play the victim
Then there's a dumbass who openly headshots a soldier with nobody stopping him, that escalated well lol

I'm very disappointed with how this season is wrapping up. Mystery shows where the bad guy is known and constantly duping the good guys do work (Death Note and Psycho-Pass for instance) but this whole season feels like a pointless jerkoff for the most part. Goda's lack of apparent motivation (which I'm sure will be revealed in a gigantic info dump) makes him very uninteresting and compounded with the general vagueness of the whole refugee thing just makes this whole season feel badly planned. Its like the audience is supposed to take for granted that violent angry refugees are a thing anyone could relate to and fear. I'm sure some nutjob is going to descend on my posts and point out how there's tons of extended media that details why World War III and IV created the refugee situation and blah blah blah but the show should have to do more work than having all this crap suddenly appear after a first season that makes no mention of any of it.

And the execution feels so off. The first season is full of individual episodes but they felt sequential as a whole. In this season it feels like there's time skips in between episodes. The jump from episode 19 (chasing down a terrorist in Germany) and then the start of episode 20 (some guy died somehow and everyone is sad?) is so jarring. And suddenly Motoko is all mopey and distracted from diving Kuze a few episodes before? How did that janky scrambling of continuity make it through storyboarding?

And now that everything is coming to a head they can just find Kuze whenever they want without any effort for some reason. If it was this easy why was there ever any effort involved in finding him? Every episode about the details of the Individual Eleven is retroactively a complete waste of time. Goda just waves it all off as "I made an evil plan to set up this scenario and those guys don't matter actually" and like...what the fuck? This all just sucks. Its not total garbage but its amazing that both Stand Alone Complex and Psycho-Pass both had unbelievable first seasons that both go down the same identical path of "how 'bout them scary refugees?" along with some collective consciousness mystery bad guy and drop to below-average instantly. At least GitS doesn't double down again for a third season that is utterly unwatchable dogshit.

Just stand around chatting in front of your cover while the terrorists are aiming at you. I hope those were cyborg decoys to keep the media on the SDA's side. And are those military tanks using hollow points in violation of the Geneva Convention? Probably not, but then why can't they penetrate that CHAZ/CHOP-looking armor? 3/10
