| Poor Filo. Her health became a problem this episode, which is kinda unusual considering she's been healthy this season so far until now. That didn't stop her from confronting a dragon though. Episode also goes to show how much Naofumi's party cares about Filo's well-being. They've truly became a close family to her. |

| i honestly dislike this episode so stuff is happening because it can they are telling me an item from a dead dragon now has a mind of its own all of a sudden can take over some other things body and hijac somehow into the shield hero series strengthening itself HOW ????? wtf is going on and no calling it a curse doesn't explain anything this anime its the stupid OP Turtle from s2 all over again i have a feeling im dropping this season and this whole show permanently because the power balance is all over the palace again |

| Wyndia's dad is a dragon? What is she even? This was better than last episode. I don't mind the CGI, I think the dragon looked quite cool. And why are they translating 魔竜 (maryuu) - "demon dragon" as emperor dragon? Oh well. |

| Honestly, I'm in love by the Demon Dragon Emperor's design; it exudes a menacing presence. Imagining if Naofumi's army could tame or control it sparks thoughts of unbeatable strength. Yet, the dilemma arises as they must extract the core to save Filo, making it more likely they'll revert to having the smaller Gaelion. Wyndia's appearance doesn't align with typical dragon traits. Either there's a unique, fluffy dragon subspecies in that universe, or Wyndia might be the adoptive daughter of Gaelion Sr. |

| That “you can’t stay here!” From Wyndia with that level of expressiveness on her face.. the force in her voice.. gave me chills, really a heartbreaking scene. But then finding out that it wasn’t Gaelion or her dad, but a new threat, the Dragon Emperor from Kizuna’s world was a wild twist. They did justice to this entire episode, the sakuga during the fight scenes were amazing. The OST complimented the action very well too. The art quality and direction have improved so much thanks to the new team. Really a shame that second season was so bad which turned so many people off from the show. For those of us who are still watching, we’re eating good. Can’t wait for next week’s episode |

| Gaolion sure ended up creating a lot of damage to Filo. Atla's ability sure proved a lifesaver for her. Wynda's powerful magic sure was a surprise both combat wise and as an assist to the party. Ren starting to feel regret for his actions was a nice thing to see for his character. The battle in the cave though was pretty good and one that showed well just what the party is capable off when they have strong party members that Naofumi can count upon when needed. Wynda's speech was a powerful one. The identity of the dragon though sure was a twist. And the power up it got was unreal. Overall an excellent ep that featured a good blend of lore expansion and action via the fight with the emperor dragon and Wynda. In my opinion this was one of this season's best ep's so far thanks to the battle that showed well the power of good and timely support and powerful allies that can pull their weight when needed. |

| As the dragon gets more powerful, the CGI gets less shitty. Coincidence? We learn that sudden main character Wyndia is the daughter of the dragon that was killed by Ren and had its corpse cleaned by Naofumi back in Season 1. She reused her dad's name, Gaelion, for Naofumi's pet dragon. Wyndia also happened to learn some dragon magic from her dad which could potentially make her an expert in some other fields of magic or something I don't know this show has too many power systems Due to the power of the dragon core, Gaelion (baby) is host to the souls of both Gaelion (Dad) and some other dragon from Season 2. He's also able to control both Filo and Naofumi's Curse Shield. Out of nowhere, this dragon is the greatest threat Naofumi has ever faced. There's a lot of "out of nowhere" this season. Pacing might have been better in the novel. Good points are excellent animation during the fight scene and it was funny to see the chain reaction of everyone getting convinced to join Naofumi on the journey. I hope the show keeps it up next week. |

| Im really hoping for some wild awaking from the dragon daughter after her reveal. The blind lass even gave a little smile and im sure it werent just MC was running in to fail whale with his shield. That girl sees things others cant. Although it might be MC, with his symbiotic nature with the dragon he been unlocked tons of mad skills. Hashtag: Save Filo!! |

| Ngl everyone in the village coming to defeat the dragon reminded me of that Simpsons joke where homer is driving the car asking where they're going and asking why is "blank" here. The joke: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BotWIneJlc It was cool to see everyone fighting together to defeat the dragon. They're was so really cool shots and by god competent animation going on. Even the dragon looked better, although they're was one shot were it looked kinda funky. Just wish we got more buildup on these characters it would have made the fight more impactful. Maybe if the pacing wasn't so abysmal it would have been better. Also I don't get how the dragon is screwing with Filo. Like putting a curse on her when did that happen? Also is she adopted or something how is that her dad. That really came out of nowhere, just like how the dragons controlling Naoufumi's shield. |

| Gaelion absorbing the Emperor Dragon's Core to put it in a rage, Naofumi and Co. must stop it immediately...but Filo suddenly falling sick, it seems like he has to depend on the entirety of his village once again. Filo's sickness being worse than the Curse series with her level dropping, her EXP being unexpectedly transferred to Gaelion is causing that, which Atla manages to qualm the effect for now. But both Filo being stubborn to transport Naofumi, everyone ends up following him whilst managing recovery on Filo, and word from another village hearing that Gaelion has flown into the Dragon's Den, they all make waves heading there, with the unexpected support being Wyndia. As Filo's curse manifests all over her, the rest reaches the Dragon's Den...with Filo going all crazy and being eaten by Gaelion, though she's still alive. Everyone gives their best efforts culling Gaelion, but it has evolved into a CGI dragon that has practically impossible to defeat, not without the right level of magic which Naofumi powers the rest in order to take it down. The surprise however, is Wyndia's father being the same dragon zombie that Ren and his previous party fought that led to this calamity...but it's no surprise that this dragon is not her father, but the Emperor Dragon, fully evolved to its full power, wanting to take revenge on the Heroes who tormented it. At this point, Naofumi has no choice but to power everyone who can fight against it, but even his own shield powers got overtaken and amped up to its maximum. Is there any hope for Naofumi and Co. to defeat the insanely strong Emperor Dragon? The chances are slim... |

| Things escalated alarmingly quickly, huh? Dealing with Gaelion was tricky at first, before he grew to become a much larger dragon. Not only that, but he also swallowed Filo, so with her curse levelling her down, Naofumi's team had to act fast. However, what Wyndia thought was her "father" was actually the Emperor Dragon from Kizuna's world, who was hell bent on powering up in order to fulfill its wish of controlling the humans. To make matters worse, Naofumi's shield is powering it up and his Wrath shield got forcibly levelled up, which only made the fight that much tougher. Overall, this episode was very good. The CGI usage here, which was understandably criticised last week, was done much better here for the huge dragon model. It paired well with the solid animation of Naofumi's group doing their respective attacks. Wyndia's short backstory was also interesting as well. Her father was the dragon that Ren and Naofumi battled against in separate fights back in season 1, so her dislike for the cardinal heroes is fair enough, although hearing her praise Naofumi for his treatment of demi-humans is nice. I can only hope that Naofumi can fight a way to win this tough battle next time. The sooner a way to win is found, the sooner Filo can be saved. |
| Naofumi showing once again he isn't much better than the other heroes announcing what he is going to do. Also, while I like the callback to season 1....doesn't anyone else feel this kind of came out of nowhere? Lastly this show is getting close to many character syndrome. Did they all really need to come with him? |

We’re eating good if you’re a fan of Tate no yuusha. This season has been an amazing adaptation and phenomenal quality. If you’re not a fan well that’s on you 🤷🏾♂️
| @Marinate1016 Bro I wouldn't be here if I didn't watch the other two seasons now would I? I say this as a fan of the show. I'm being honest with you. This season has been very shaky but it is a step up from season 2 but still isn't close to season 3. I also have done the digging on the adaption....I wouldn't say this is amazing work as a lot of stuff is getting skipped. Ren's redemption felt way too quick and Spear Hero is....just weird now. It's not bad at all but like I said before this is a small lunch not a full course meal. We're getting close to too many character syndrome and Naofumi is being holier than thou Naofumi again while making idiotic decisions. Fucking Bitch is back...and well she just fucking sucks. I want to be on that hype train but right now, similar to Goblin Slayer S2, it just has been all right sadly. |

Previous episode, the dragon plays with a core - nothing. Dragon tries to eat it - "oh no don't do that" absolutely zero actions to prevent that. This episode: Filo is in pain - "oh no! Anyways, lets talk for a while about who is going". |

| Finally, the story is getting interesting again! This was such an enjoyable episode to watch. However, I find it hard to believe that Wyndia is supposed to be a dragon's daughter (unless she was adopted) because of her fluffy design, which reminds me more of a fox than a dragon, to be honest. On the other hand, the Emperor Dragon's design is fantastic and quite menacing! The CGI in this episode was also much better than in the last one. It looks like this is going to be the toughest fight Naofumi has faced so far. I wonder if this is Ren's chance for redemption? The situation suggests that it might happen, and I think it would be the perfect time and setting for it. The cliffhanger had me on edge and excited for the next episode! |

| Ok this show is getting weird again. The season was surprisingly good at the start but then whe had weird SoL episodes with way too many characters to keep track off and I genuinely started to question if this season even had a plot, now this is suddenly a major incident out of nowhere? Im sure this is supposed to be a cool episode but it feels like we skipped a few volumes again. Why is the emperor dragon siphoning Filos exp? How is he able to just take over Shield Heros shield like wtf?? How is that even a thing! Also the animation was weirdly CGI heavy, not even talking about the dragon but halfway through every other frame of a character felt like CGI? Motion felt weirdly fluid, dont know how to describe it, overanimation but its CGI. As others have already said "out of place" is a good way to describe not just this epiosde but the entire season. The way things are going I wouldnt be surprised if Naofumi and Ren suddenly wake up at school back in their old world and had exam season so we would get an entire school arc. I wanted to talk about Ren making progress and reflecting on his actions but this ep really just threw me off. What happened to Spear lolicon hero? Wasnt he just with them 2 eps ago and now hes suddenly gone? |

| Alright the Dragon is CGI, but the way the camera movement makes the fight sequences looks good enough. I like the callback to season 1, it makes the story much more better because everything is connected. |
