A field trip! About time they got them out of the classroom doors. Uka and Kai are paired up again and it seems she understands him a little bit more. Every episode, they get closer. I kinda wish they spent more time in the nature than in the city. Either way, Kai made quite an impression. |

Still don’t see how MAL has let this drop below a 7 man. The anti shoujo bias on here is so crazy. Such a cute show and I love seeing Uka grow! “Heaven might punish me someday for being this lucky” AHHHHH we got Miura sleeping on Uka’s shoulder and Uka continuing to settle in and make friends at school. I’m so fucking happy for her and I love how the most mundane things make her so happy, those pure eyes and her blushing and smiling it’s so cute. She deserves it all. I’m surprised they went so quick with the lost on the field trip mini arc though. They did technically use it to bring she and Miura closer but it was way faster than I expected. The way I was gonna go crazy if Nagano didn’t apologise for blaming Uka about getting lost.. lol. And the funniest thing was ol girl ended up being the reason behind it and then said it was because she didn’t like how close Miura and Uka were?! Now they’ll be closer dumbass 😂 Snake of the season award goes to Takamine bum ass for trying to put doubts and insecurities in Uka’s head about Miura. Dawg if you like her, just tell her and don’t try to drag another dude down to do it lmao. Grimey With that and Miura’s ex showing up.. things are about to get really interesting lol. |

I get that this is bit of a melodrama, but good Lord xD. Uka was acting as if they have been stranded on an island and people have died because she made a mistake, meanwhile they have just lost their track on a way to a bus ? Lmao. But hey, some nice moments for her with the blonde-kun, so a net positive for our heroine for sure, she also got a lemon candy from Kai ... It was all so good and nice till the emo guy pulled a reddit moderator moment on her and blew it all up, smh. |

A rival appears tho the rival didn't seem very interested in the phone she dropped seeing as she said goodbye before getting the phone back. Looks like the main is making up with her past and moving forward, let's hope things keep improving. Kai also seems to be hit hard with love even if he doesn't let it on. |

Really digging the chemistry between Uka and her new little band of friends. Love the fact that she was thinking of everyone and brought those towels with her. She was nice, brave, so it’s only fair she gets rewarded with all those sweets and such. It’s great to see her get noticed and respected. And yeah, Kai and Uka are like meant for each other. Those photos said it all lmao. Kai's ex showing up though, wasn't expecting that. Girl had his old photo open on her phone and everything as well. Interested to see where this goes. |

I don't even care about the romance and drama, I'm more than happy with a character that finally found her place after a life full of bullying, if only life were that fair, now what's Tomoya endgame. |

I'm glad that things did work out in the end during the field trip. Uka's team were put on the wrong path by one of those bullies, but not only did it led them to the bridge for shelter, but it also led them to the trees that made a heart shape. Seeing the other classmates showing their appreciation towards Uka by leaving loads of sweets on her desk with a "Thank you" message written on them was a nice gesture. =) The graduation pictures of the past was an interesting point of the episode, where it does shows a younger Kai with his natural hair colour compared to what he looks like now. Having said that, it also did introduce a character that has a link to him in the past, all thanks to Uka catching her falling smartphone on the stairs. I do feel like a rivalry could be formed here depending on how things will go in the next episode. |

@otakuweek Dislike, no. Thinking it could have been a lot better of they only had a decent production, yes. I am a fan of romance and SoL. A lot of people compare this one to Kimi ni Todoke, but although that one is more than 10 years older, it was produced 10 times better than this. Here the animation is stiff, the character design is flat and sometimes inconsistent, the backgrounds are meh, the music is fairly generic, VA is OK but characters seem to have one or two tones only, the script has no charm and it's always "on-the-nose" with no subtext at all, the direction is quite poor. I cannot say it's "bad", the story is a lot more wholesome than I could imagine after the first 2 episodes (I don't know the source material), but the show isn't good either, MAL rating could even be too generous for my standards... but I tend to rate most things 0.5 to 1 points lower than MAL, so it's probably fine. |

@otakuweek Different people tend to enjoy different things. This show has enough potential for me to continue watching it, but if the story doesn't take off and improves to the point of overshadowing the poor production, it won't get more than a 6 from me. The music can definitely bring something, but it's also not very original. I recently finished watching BokuYaba, and the difference between Kensuke Ushio's soundtrack and this one is more than noticeable. I've been involved in music production, so maybe that's why I tend to be a bit nitpicky... As for understanding the MC's feelings, I see your point, but there are shows out there that make us understand the same feelings without having to "inner-monologue" them explicitly all the time (it's one of the reasons why I said the script is a bit too much "on-the-nose"). I think I will watch it till the end, the last two episodes already raised my initial rating from 5 to 6, so the trend is positive. :) |

Why is his tall friend trying to keep them apart? Does he have feelings for Uka now? I'm a little unclear on this part. And that Classmate's apology sounded not only slow, but not very sincere. Or maybe she just realized it was all futile anyway. She should have gotten into a butt load of trouble for that little stunt. Oh well, envy isn't called a Green-eyed Monster for no reason. |

@Kyou_Ryuu thx again for sharing your thoughts i see, a pro will probably noticed more things with the music for the monologue i understand your point of view. I was almost mad when she ran away instead of talking to them, but this also helps to be more in her head to explain how she acts because she is coming from down down the "ex" girlfriend will certainly bring some confusing situations in the next ep |

What a lovely episode. I thought the class would react badly because Uka made them lose their way, but it was heartwarming to see them give her candy as a thank you for all their support. Uka is still haunted by her high school past, but Miura's constant support keeps her moving forward; and the fact that Miura smiles and compliments only Uka I love. But is there a storm brewing? I don't want to judge Sarina too harshly, as she seems to get along well with Uka in ED. She may have a past with Miura or at least some interest in him. And it was unexpected that Takamine would give Uka insecurities. It remains to be seen if he himself is interested in Uka or if he is not as good a friend to Miura as he seems. |

Lmao, that stupid girl was trying to make Uka the scapegoat and another stupid girl was about to fall into the same narrative /: thankfully she has Ayumi on her side <3 but hey, at least Nagano apologized! I knew Marin messed with the sign (I called it last week). Her reasoning is beyond crazy and maybe a bit too honest? I love that Uka prepared for the worst and it came in handy. Take that everyone who made fun of her huge backpack lmaooo Her life is finally improving, she's no longer being bullied and is making so many friends. She used to get her textbooks torn up, but now she gets gifts :') Kai is such a sweetie <3 So what's Kai's obsession with lemon flavored stuff? I'm sure Takamine confronted Marin about the sign, so he's a real one for that, except for the doubt he seeded in Uka's head. What the actual fuck? Isn't Kai your best friend? Goddamn and to take a hit at her insecurities too? What a loser. And for the final blow to Uka's little progress, Kai's ex girlfriend was abnormally beautiful. Talk about a rough morning, jeez. Kai called her cute and only smiled in pictures with Uka! Woohoo! I'm surprised he didn't keep the picture though lol Ex gf has entered the chat... why did she have a pic of him? I'm betting $100, Kai broke up with her and she still has feelings for him. It seems like Uka doesn't have a cellphone, interesting. I'm also here to say why tf does this have a 6.92? Y'all are haters. This anime is extremely wholesome shm |

@TheMageDalamar her behavior is so annoying. It's tiring how she gets shy in every single interaction she has, her backstory wasn't showed enough in length to make up for it either. Her running off embarassed and Kai running after her to comfort her takes up so much screentime that it's not even funny anymore |

Took me till episode 4 to realize that the reason Uka’s nickname in middle school was “Stoney” is because her last name, Ishimori, starts with Ishi which is stone in Japanese, yes I’m slow lol. And the aftermath of the field trip fiasco actually turned out very wholesomely with Kai and Uka finding a bridge to take cover from the rain, which at the same time put them back on the map, a very sweet end after what seemed like a very bad moment for Uka, really she was blowing it up into a big thing in her head, but they were more than okay lol, Kai was really sweet for helping her out there tho. And wow one of the girls really messed with the sign because Uka was too close to Kai, that’s just a dick move, she apologized at least but probably only because Takamine made her, very nice of him but what he said to Uka afterward was kinda fucked up lol, I thought maybe he was just looking out for her in his own sort of way but it did come off as mean, hopefully he can come back around after that. But thankfully despite what Takamine said, Kai and Uka are proving the two of them meeting each other was a great thing after that scene on the rooftop and later when she was sick, I really liked his words about what happened to her in middle school made her who she is today, and she turned out good, pretty inspiring stuff. But at the end it looks like things could get dicey again with the appearance of an ex of Kai’s, Serina, I called it would be her after the phone fell down the stairs because I noticed her in the ED after she was pointed out in the yearbook, of course she would show up in the same episode lol, and she is very pretty but I don’t think Kai is gonna go back to her, the real challenge will be Uka dealing with this. |

Oh my goodness. I didn't think I would dislike a protagonist this season more than Miyo from My Happy Marriage, yet here we are...what is with these shoujo tropes where the female is so fragile and shy, while the male love interest is her knight in shining armor. It's only been four episodes, but how many times has she already been shown running away and crying lmao. Literally the last thing you're supposed to do when you're lost is separating from the group. At least she found the way out and it didn't go down that cliche route where the two main characters are alone and lost outside in the rain, but I really hope there comes a time when Kai doesn't go after her and she could take action by herself. And somehow she thinks she's "doing her best" when she doesn't even try to utter a single word out while others are sharing their yearbooks. Usually I'm sympathetic to these kinds of characters and look forward to watching their character development, but I can't with her. New girl rival incoming. Please don't be an asshole...and get your phone back girl. |

What a wholesome episode, it also felt like it had the content of two episodes or more. That has to be the biggest non-apology I've seen, lol. At the same time that girl had the inflection of a robot so I'm not really sure. On the other hand, Takamine sure is a handful. Usually I'd joke that he's jealous of Uka, but I feel like he's actually got a nasty character or at least a nasty side deep down. By the way, how come this is ranked #4803? I get that it's not breaking any standards of the genre and that the animation quality is pretty bad, but if you give this thing a chance it isn't half bad. Top #2000 should be reasonable imo. |

phantomfandom said: The phone falling like it's defying gravity. and also, its suddenly the phone displaying kai junior highschool photo, like, why you lookin at your ex photo bruh 😭 but its fine and understandable, for the plot purpose BUT its unsettling and weird that Kanno saying "bye" meanwhile her phone is still at ishimori's hand, like, gurl, did u suddenly forgot ur phone or what 😭 |

Ok, guys, I've never went mountain hiking before, so please correct me if I'm wrong about this: Aren't the hiking tracks always kind of marked on the ground? It's usually paved from what I know. It is shown paved under their feet in the anime. So basically,Weren't they going to get to their starting point if they just went back following the same tracks they came through? The whole idea of being "lost" whilst walking on a marked & paved tracks kind of doesn't work for me. I don't know. Let me know what you guys think. |
