I don't want to see Nina developing feelings for Sett. No matter how much of a sad past he had it doesn't justify him killing one of the princesses and making the others live in terror, not to mention he cut Nina with his sword. He's just an asshole.

The four princes sure acted fast. But with kinghood riding on it, it's to be expected. I'm surprised they subverted the game of hot potato by having Yor catch Bidoh's attempt to take her to the purple wing. I think with how mischievous Tout is, Bidoh would be the best bet for the throne.

Well, if Sett gets made whole with Nina's viewpoint maybe that could change. Unless this cliffhanger with Azure showing up at the end makes things go south again.

man ,my second male lead syndrome hits so much here,i don't want Az,I want Sett to end up with her😭
they have so much chemistry unlike the conventional love trope that I saw in the first few eps of sett and nina,I just love men going from sounded/bad/sad heart to becoming a better person with fl's love

I keep hoping for Sett to be the end game PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS 😭😭

Chapters 15 & 16 today

Qh yor. Are you gay or not lol you and your army of pretty boys sure are something. Your whole personality is fearing women and wanting to prove yourself to Sett. You keep on hating him all the way to the throne and see how that works out.

The parallels between Sett and Alisha rundeep. The anime won't reach the point of exploring the Astral villa and how the priestess princess was raised without a season 2 though, so just take my world for it if you don't want to read. H8s mother and hiz past, which we'll dive into shottly, It explains a lot of his resentment for Alisha.

Yeah we butchering again. Dub really failing in script adaptation. She gets kicked out for asking about him liking men and him being offended, not for his dislike of women. Don't jump to conclusions nina, even if you are trying to be understanding lol. I really can't, whenever I think we've gone as low as possible something significant gets screwed up again. I really can't adress how inaccurate everything is each week, so read the manga if you want to see everything that is skipped, rushed or portrayed innacuately. It's a way better series then this portrays it as.

Don't give up yet nina, you've started to thaw his icy heart.
You can really tell that Yor's mother's status has him Thinking the wordt of women lol. Stop being so insecure and realize not every woman is a shady seductress. He really is a laugh though.

Bleach pretty boy Sett is still boring. Give me an animated smug angsty manga sett. Skipped his revelation face and jump to his feet i see. We soften him and his expressions and weaken his character, even in the romantic moments.

Biohazard is also the oldest prince despite being third in line. And the biggest perv thinking he can win her over in the bedroom. Which the anime of course skips cause every character is a shell of themselves. He also mocks yors obsession with Sett being his primary personality trait. Why can't we have nice things like fleshed out characters? I swear they just adapt at an unknown pace until they hit a point where they're like, we have 4 minutes left for this chapter. Time to adapt below the bare minimum necessary to move on to the next one.

Sigh the sibling dynamics and personifies are so interesting too, like a scheming shallow comedy troupe. This series does a good job of setting the stage and the anime just fails at delivering that. Like Bidoh's initial attitude towards Yor's threats telegraph all you need to know about his danger level being a joke. Boy is just a wannabe Sett impersonator lol. He keeps ordering her to apologize instead of following through with it in the manga. And Nina willfully refusing to apologize. His servants also are apologizing to her for him lol.

Lol Sett is not making his serious business face in his entrance. Manga sett looks ready to kick ass. Anime Sett is still playing pouty pretty boy. Give me his smug condescending faces at least here where he reveals his claim to nina and mocks his brothers low threat level to him. Glad to see were are also not showing Yors full face cause lazy animations yet again. BTW, Yor is such a clown in this scene. His faces at Sett are ridiculous.

Sigh Neena's energetic personality and adorableness gets reduced as usual. Her bind with Nina is priceless in the manga, repeating and emphasizing many of her words. At least she's still imitating some of her actions and expressions some in the anime. Sett is awfully clingy now lol. Hes taking nina up on her suggestion to act like he likes her. Anime Sett just doesn't hit the same. His absoulte smug confidence as he slips his arm around Nina again nonchalantly and poses with Neena on his other arm killed me in the manga, but anime version fully skips that moment cause they animate as little as possible and decided it would be too much effort to have him strike that pose before grabbing her with both arms as neena lands on her head, then nina flips out onxe she realizes he has her again and neena takes off again around the room. Sett's possessiveness really is funny though.

Nina's interaction with Yor's hunks is also funnier in the manga. Her full inner thoughts really elevate the scene. Skipping Anne's protectiveness too.

Sigh, Toats manipulations also falls flat. and he remarks that Sett had a feminine appearance at the time of that battle. You know, to contrast the violent killing and set up the long hair looking like a scythe. We also skipping his final words about sett that were a vague saying of a bird designed to manipulate Nina and his thoughtson her, also a bird analogy. The staff of this anime really fails to understand the characters, themes and symbolism. Constantly skipping and changing important moments.

I feel like by skipping many of Nina's inner dialogues we lose her keen insight into others motivations. Shes not as easily manipulated as she was at the start of the series as shown by her thoughts here.

Skipping Neenas manic movements yet again. And her dialogue with Sett. Skipping Setts graphic description of the temple of blood and his dismissive view of his past. Also misrepresenting his mother by saying she wished to end her pregnancy instead of hiding away because she wished to pretend it didn't happen. Still sticking to still images for all flashbacks as much as possible. Finslly got a little movement though. And as a result a really disproportionate hand. Like comically bad when the priest reaches for Sett. And didn't even animate his jump. Also anyone else view his jump as a reference to the omen lol?

Sigh, dub script fail again. He says now he feels nothing, not payers feel hollow. And the priest said fly with me, not them. He always planned on jumping. He wanted to deliver Sett to his mother himself, not just kill Sett.

Nina's view of the world is what reaches Sett and that's his heart. Just like her gaze loosened the chains on Azure's heart. Her warmth thaws his heart. Het ability to see beauty even in a place like a cursed temple allows him to change. The snow may be falling on them, but Sett is warmer then ever, just the was during their night together.

I personally view their relationship like yuki and tohru, a mother and child. It's why I can't ship them personally (as of now anyway). Nina is going to teach him to be happy and live. And it just reminds me of tohru and yuki so much lol.

Nina, you yet again must face the Wright of your deception. But be careful what you wish for.

Azure's back people! We knew he'd never send a mere messenger to meet with our girl! We love to see a daring king come to the rescue and break away from societal expectations, something Azure was previously imprisoned by.

With Sett's background revealed, we can understand his behavior. Has it changed your view of him any?

Nina putting herself together a nice harem of cute princes 😂 seeing the other brothers try to court her was great, I figured Sett would step in to stop it though.

Speaking of Sett, I’m still not forgiving him for the scar he gave nina but the way he’s protective of her and was so touchy with her today was cute ngl. It’s still Azure best boy but you know, he might grow on me.. especially after seeing his blood temple backstory. No wonder dude is so messed up. Love the intimate moment between he and Nina at the end there. Sett, a guy who’s normally emotionless and cold finally opening up to someone.

But cmon it’s a romantic drama of course you’re gonna have Azure showing up right as Sett and Nina get close and she promises to make him happy for life, lmao. this is gonna be great.

This is just one of those situations where not everybody gets a satisfying conclusion. Personally, I much prefer Sett and Nina together due the rather unusual nature and developpement of their relationship but I feel i will be disappointed. It just seems like one of those Anime where of course she will end up with Azure and it was never even a question in the first place. Though it also kind of makes sense because she said that Azure will stay number 1 in her heart. But how is she immediately going to abandon someone she just promised to make happy for the rest of their life . Honestly, this just sucks for everyone involved and well, like I said, this can't be resolved in a way everyone will find satisfying.

Well, we see Azure giving her the Death Penalty at the Start, so obviously, everything is not going to go well, but with a 12-13 episode Season we may never even get THERE.

I'm sorry Az but I think I'm team Sett now... I think Az will probably end up with Nina but I really like seeing characters like Sett who are devoid of emotion and life shown what happiness is through love. Like I said, I think Az will probably win but I honestly think Sett is in more need of someone like Nina in his life.

As a manga reader I'm dying of frustration watching the anime...it's so sad...the animation is just so not living up to the manga.

Especially this episode hurt so much because the moment at the blood temple is one of my favourite moments. The moment where Nina shows Sett a whole new world THROUGH her eyes making a parallel and contrast with Az who saw his real self IN her eyes...which will be important to the future events.

Sett who always has lived in darkness, has been abused physically and mentally as a child over years, is totally numb and has no feelings anymore. That weak sad child is hidden deep in the confines of his heart, but Nina gets through it all...she pulls out the big guns: "I will teach you happiness. I will cherish you for the rest of my life". One can start to imagine what kind of effect this had on this love and affection starved young man who's life is but emptiness and violence....she becomes his light.

I'm scared and worried because Seth is finally opening up to her and they're getting along and this episode she promised to make him happy for life and like 😭 like I don't know how the story will continue but I doubt that will happen,,, like that's not something you say casually, it's sth you say and you fulfill, esp having in mind all the trauma he's been through and the fact that he's finally feeling a connection with someone, finding some warmth, it would be so disappointing and sad :( idk

A great episode. Nina has a reverse harem, but the princes are snakes.

Sett tells Nina his backstory, and she now has great sympathy for him. Azure arrives and next episode would be so explosive.

I don't understand the low ratings on this anime. It is super enjoyable. Def not a masterpiece but the story is very good imo and I really love Nina and her pets. I feel like Sett will end up finding love and happiness through Nina but ultimately sacrifice himself. Although I am loving them. Idk, can Nina just have them both. I want both.

Sett has charm without doubt, but I'm still team Az.
It's still unknown whether Sett bullied or provoked that 1 princess who wanted to kill him but got killed.
Not to mention he literally scarred Nina for life!
I imagine Az will be furious once he hears who slashed her. May even lead to war lol.
Unlike Nina and Az, Sett is actual royalty. Obviously given the genre Sett will likely not care about Nina being fake princess, eventually; but, I think it'll still end with 2 fakes, Nina and Az together at the end of this story.

I suspect part of the low scores are manga readers for whom the anime did not meet their expectations. It may be true that the manga may be better, but the anime itself is good and entertaining.

@Amaterasu803 I'm a manga reader and frustrated with the animation but I didn't score it low at all because I love this story....the plot is full of twists and exciting! The VA's are really doing their best too. It's just the low budget that was given to the anime that makes things look wonky while this really is s fun story better than some that get bigger budgets

I feel like Sett is supposed to be a worse character than portrayed in the show. Though I guess they probably wanted the show to be more light hearted, could've easily been a far darker show. I enjoyed the anxiety I felt when she first met Sett.

That twist at the end tho... The plot thickens!!

By far the best episode so far!!
They got me laughing, crying and in a shock in just one episode. I loved Nina her wise words about how the warmth Sett feels must be real. I truly hope she ends up picking him instead Az. Which btw?! Az is there?! I am so curious what will happen next :3

I’m so leaning towards Team Sett as well because of this. The struggle is real because we all love a “good guy” , but I’m in my “I love morally grey badass” persona era right now and Sett fits the bill

Right now I don't really don't seem to like any of the princes. We got the guy who is clearly disgusted by women and loves men who threatens amputation, we got some guy, we got the gossiper, and we got the sliced her chest man. Then Az is sus.

quick edit: 2 things went through my head in opening
1. what is up with golden eye'd black hair guys? I noticed trend in them being peak, but also, they are in fact really hot.
2. I briefly thought I was watching bye bye earth for a moment (small portion of opening makes me feel like that)
