Heyy, thanks for offering to chat with me about Nina! I almost felt like I was complaining too much at first, so it was nice to see that someone agreed with my post~ And like you were saying, all of the subtleties and buildup just aren't here in the anime, when it's literally a focal point of the manga. I especially appreciate that you mentioned the passage of time. It was something that the manga has done so well, like, where you really feel like months have passed and it has been so long since certain characters interacted and certain events happened. It really hurts the pacing of the anime, that we don't get a similar sense of the passage of time. Which is interesting like you said, because the manga doesn't spend entire volumes being stagnant, but it still manages to capture that feeling so well! I'm sorry that major moments aren't hitting the same for both of us, Nina really deserves so much better. I totally know the feeling of wanting to grab someone and be like, "THIS PART IN THE MANGA WAS ACTUALLY SO GOOD I SWEAR" lol.

I have to admit, though, today's episode made me super emotional lmao, it actually made me cry a few times. Though I think it's because I'm caught up with the manga (up to the current volume, anyway), so seeing Nina and Azure together and so happy like this just broke me, because I know exactly where they are now, and things after this point are just... never the same again. Like, I realize even more now, being caught up with the manga, what a huge turning point Nina leaving Fortna is, for the series. So my emotions were more because of what I had experienced in the manga, than simply the anime by itself, if that makes sense. The characters at least sound exactly like what I expected them to after reading the manga, at least... Nina's voice actor especially is too perfect! I just wish they could match the pacing and energy and detail of the manga, you know?

The more I think about it, I feel like this anime was made for manga readers, because I just cannot see it hitting properly at all without all the extra context we have. I'm still trying to enjoy it, but I guess I just want so much moreeee. We'll have to see how they handle Sett next week too, I have my fingers crossed that they'll do him some amount of justice; his character is too important.

I know it’s miho but no pictures or anything of her online . No interviews nothing . I wanted to see some behind the scenes since one day it’s my dream to make a manga/ anime series as special as this one was to me for any other kid out there that needs it but I don’t see the creator at all

I've seen people on Anime Planet call Vanitas a rapist in the threads when they have characters that had done far worse things in their loved list. Main guy (who even called the series a rape apologist anime - which was the most stupid thing I've read in a while) had FUCKING AKITO SOHMA, whom you know, tormented several people for years, and even inflicted permanent scars/injuries on Rin, Kureno, and Hattori and got away with it on top of that. Another one liked fucking bakugou and other heinous people too.

Thanks for your comment on that Vanitas thread. People are real sensitive these days *sighs*.

And yeah, characters like Vanitas are far more interesting than those paper-thin and boring characters you see in certain anime.

I am! I don't think an anime has made me laugh and cry so much, it really is an underrated masterpiece, im very happy that there's a ton of episodes to get through
