And this is just the first time out of more to come. Dandadan really gives you a little bit of everything. Comedy, supernatural, romance, heartbreak. Love this series.

Has the author worked on any sad mangas? if not then I think he should. Damn, the mother or yokai was a stranger to me just 15min ago and just in 15min character development and story, the author connected all of us to her and I literally had to keep a tissue with me during this whole episode. And The last part hit really hard.

Also the animation was really beautiful when the mother was running to find her daughter in streets. It felt like a AAA game scene. Anyways what a banger episode. This is fifth or sixth time any anime has made me cry among 320 animes I watched.

Okay when I read this chapter for the first time I was sure it was done right then I will cry for sure but now seeing the animation from science saru ohh man that first person view in the start or the music or direction of the whole episode was just peak peak.

this is one of the first animes in which i finally see a realistic rapresentation of a kid's face (it only makes the ending hit even harder) while still being a drawing. That freaking smile.......

@joshlill Well, that's awful. I had hope she was alive; albeit her life would've been hell. So the bastards killed the kid anyways huh?

Wonder if Okarun and Momo will start dealing with human filth too. Can't expect them to start dropping bodies left and right, but Momo already yeeted Aira's friends when they attacked her, so she can go medieval on such scumbags easily! Just like with violated girls in case of Turbo Granny, we're reminded again that there's no monster more disgusting than a human. I hope the series won't be all about Momo/Okarun vs ghosts/aliens. Kick some human ass too!

What I found the most depressing was, her unaliving herself by jumping off some building after realizing her entire reason for existence was taken away. But before she does that, she dances for one last time in the memory of the happy times she spent with her daughter.

We are but again I wouldn’t set this kind of expectations for every series cuz logically speaking it’s not possible due to the industry being oversaturated and the lack of talented animators so I think while we are blessed to hv such great adaptations we should also be equally grateful that some of our fav works are getting an adaptation to begin with even tho they might turn out to be above average at best.

Kimetsu no yaiba is cringe bro it repeats the same old shonen formula but ppl like it cuz again the presentation is great the backstory of DDD came out of nowhere and it was a perfect example of visual storytelling which DS doesn’t do as the characters feel the need to spell out everything to the viewers which makes them less impactful.

The author only ever did depressing stuff. But his editor had enough with that and forced him to read 100 romance manga. He was a changed man and dandadan was biorn.
