I misspoke, I meant the most extreme conflict people in real life are going to face. And even outside that, Nina gets into emotional conflict constantly throughout the series. She's a problem character who troubles literally everyone around her.

idk about you but normally starting fights will get you kicked out of most establishments in a hurry where I'm from. If you're shouting and getting in someone's face, that's a good way to get people to completely avoid you at best or physically intervene at worst.

Not saying you are, but characterizing things people in real life would be flaws and reasons to avoid people as "perfect" or somehow squeaky clean and without flaws, especially when the series is going for a more realistic take on how people act, is incredibly disingenuous.

I mean realistically speaking the only conflict someone in our world is gonna face is just physical altercations. Actual fights where someone straight up dies are relatively rare, and people can be violent without killing. I know people like Nina, most people consider people like her unruly, hard to get along with, violent, aggressive, etc. It might be cute watching people like that in television, but irl people who act like that are shunned at best and arrested at worst.

That's gross mischaracterization at best. Elaina doesn't have a problem using others to her advantage, she regularly mistreats people, she's greedy, she's haughty, and she's overconfident. By most measures those are character flaws. What is a flaw besides something people generally consider not virtuous? Nina is violent, doesn't get along with other people, is stubborn to a fault, and ropes her friends into things they didn't agree to and then gets angry when they don't want to do them among other things. A flawed character can do good things.

Flawless is certainly one of the ways of all time to describe Elaina and Nina. Literally nothing perfect about either of them. One's a serial scammer and generally dispassionate and the other is naive and very willing to commit assault lol
