| I really love the new intro scene. It seems to be a parody of Street Fighter 2. But funnily enough, there was a Ranma 1/2 fighting game for SNES. As those who've watched the leaks already know, Finally, Ryoga is here. Much faster than in the original. For Zoomer viewers, before there was Zoro, there was Ryoga. He's the OG. The fight scene between Ranma and Ryoga looked rough tbh. It didn't look bad but it clearly looked worse than the animation in the last episodes. That being said, the animation looked beautiful near the end. Speaking of the end, what a cliffhanger. |
| Ryoga who is exceptionally bad with directions, the original Zoro is here, and he's looking for a duel challenge with Ranma while Ranma is not interested at all in fighting him. Akane was quite worried for Ranma in this episode knowing how strong Ryoga is. Some cute moments later, while Akane and Ranma were busy talking things out after that slap, Ryoga's attack went straight through Akane's long hair giving her a clean short haircut. I'm gonna miss her long hair. They looked so beautiful on her. Aside from that, funny and charming moments were present throughout the episode. This episode felt too short for some reason. They're doing a great job adapting this. |

| Ryoga gives off serious Koga vibes lol, straight down to the mannerisms and manner of speech. He’s even got that wild aesthetic to him. He and Ranma rivalry starting over some curry bread is killing me tho 😭 this cafeteria shit do get serious man. Lost it at him somehow ending up in hokkaido and the countryside when he was literally just in Tokyo at the school the day before. They need to just have him sleep in school at this point lmao. The fight against ranma was dope and it looked like Ryoga turned a little sweet on Ranma when he became a girl so it’ll be cool to see how that plays out Akane and Ranma rooftop scene was so cute, Rankane Yuri stans ate good today. Until Ryoga had to ruin the moment 🤦🏽♂️ that slap from Akane might not have had the explosive impact that her kicks and punches usually do, but it was honestly stronger than any of those because Ranma genuinely hurt her feelings when she was just trying to be nice and considerate for him. Losing her hair at the end actually made me kinda sad. I could be reading too deep into it, but she’s already got issues with her “femininity” and not thinking she’s girly enough, now she loses the long hair.. going to be interesting to see how she handles this |

| I want to know who pays for the school's property damage. Losing direction but reaching a completely different region lol, Ryouga seems a very fun intresting character. Still dk why he has grudge against Ranma, hope it reveals it soon. The fight scene was good as expected from Mappa, unlike Kunou Ryouga is an actual challenge. At this stage everyone in school is aware of Ranma maybe cause no one gave a shit. Very cute scene between Ranma and Akane, before it went south. She genuinely trying to help him and no way Ranma should have disregard that. It really hurt her. Even he realised his mistake. Before she could even catch a breath..  Akane losing her long hair is absolute travesty. She looked so cute with her long hair. I saw one shot at op with short one but everything else was normal long, didn't expected that. Poor girl have a real rough time this episode, someone gotta pay for this war crime. |

A supremely heavy umbrella that shreds all it comes into contact with is a interesting but ruthless way of fighting. Poor Akane got her feelings hurt and her hair cut! Those razor sharp bandanas really need to come with a warning... |

| Ranma destroying Akane with his bombshell body continues to be hilarious. Got tired of the getting lost trope and don't really care about the new guy. Seems annoying and his reason gonna be something petty too, prolly. Akane's hair though, atleast she didn't have to cut it herself after getting rejected. The story automatically did it for her lol. Cute moments between Akane and Ranma again. This time with him saving and princess carrying her. Also Ranma's more physically stronger than I thought as he was easily able to use that heavy umbrella. Was fun to watch him toy with the new guy. |

| So much love and effort were put into this adaptation. I am so happy Rumiko Takahashi gets this treatment, she 100 % deserves it. If you open the manga, it's literally panel-by-panel transition, even the faces and the poses are the same (while I would argue the comedic timing is a bit better in manga than in anime, it's only a minor nitpicking). I love it. I love it so much. If getting god-like Dandadan and Ranma meant to sacrifice Blue Lock... well, so be it. Also- Ryoga best boy. Here, I said it. Don't @ me |

| @0ssi you absolutely should read the manga! It's sometimes even funnier than the anime. Also I am not sure how much the anime will cover, but I doubt it will adapt all the chapters/arcs (Ranma is 407 chapters long, they will have to cut corners anyway even if they want to adapt the whole thing... otherwise it will have to run for 100+ episodes). |

| They fused what used to be two episodes again in this one, I guess that’s gonna be the norm for probably all the arcs in the OG, maybe they were all short enough for one episode but had enough anime original content to make it two lol. And this time we got introduced to one of the big main stays of the series, Ryoga, and no time is wasted in letting you know he has the sense of the direction of a goldfish lol, I always found this trait of his to be fun but I also remember there’s times in the OG where it’s kinda forgotten about, either way I think Ryoga is among the better characters of the series (although the opinion is quite split on him from what I’ve seen), glad to see him here in the remake, his fight with Ranma looked very cool too, I really liked the colors there. And it’s also in this episode Ranma is made to wear girls’ clothes for the first time, I said this about the OG episode too, if only Ranma knew people like big butts in the future lol, otherwise that would have been a great burn on Akane. And speaking of Akane, it’s also here that her long hair is cut permanently, it only lasted four episodes in the remake versus the eight in the OG lol, and it truly is a shame, even 130+ episodes into the OG I still like her long hair better, the short hair definitely grew on me but it never did beat her original look. That being said, I am interested in seeing how remake Akane looks with short hair, maybe they’ll do it better somehow, or worse, we shall find out lol. Also wow that was a cool new version of the intro, I never liked it and how it replaced the OP in the OG but if they’re giving them new coats of paint like this, I’m not so opposed to them anymore lol. |

| That retro game style intro is neat way to start the episode. Ryoga is always one of my fav character in the series eventhough the having no direction gag can be tiring later on. He's pretty much the opposite of Ranma's character so he's really fitting as his rival. The stylistic approach on their fighting bits do looks cool but I actually prefer if there's none of it. I do wish a certain remake would get this level of treatment for adaptation lol. How I wish they keep the sweet moments throughout in that remake like this episode did. Short hair Akane is here to stay signifying a huge shift in her life. Interested to see how will they adapt Ryoga's character until when he get a new love interest. @DesuKouichi27 It's by the same composer from Inuyasha, Kaoru Wada. |

| And finally Ryoga appears. This was an amazing debut and I still laugh at how disoriented he is and at how he ends up at the weirdest places. I wasn't expecting Akane losing her long hair this soon, but I like this pacing nonetheless. |
