| Man, this series is tooooo fucking UNSERIOUS. Like they legit had everyone with that cliffhanger last episode when they went “who’s Shikanoko” and kind of almost a pulled a game-changing plot twist, but hey, it’s onto us that we believed them, I mean they shrugged off the very fact of a serious plot twist in the very first minute of the episode itself. So yeah, can’t say the entire premise of Shikanoko being in danger, which just had to be followed by yet another of their quiz competitions was just eh… add the in-ring debut of her as well, which of course had to be against a character… … as cartoony as that, whatever that was. Seriously, it seems they forgot they were animating a finale episode, or maybe that’s just how this series is. It’s one thing to be actually funny, which tbh, this series wasn’t or maybe was here and there, but it just tried too hard to be funny, and things do go stale when something “tries” to be funny. Worked for this series in the first couple of episodes, but yeah, going forward it just became too random and too chaotic to care about anything. See this finale for reference lol. Don’t feel like I’ll miss this. |

| The FINAL episode of Nokotan...and "who's Rem Shikanoko?" A huge deer havoc that's going to wreck Hino City, the last episode's cliffhanger...meant nothing lols. Instead, the Deer's Den of local mascots of assassins chasing Nokotan's tail (or antler, rather), Kyun-chan coming to deport her, and the same competition from Episode 2 comes up, only this time for a dance competition between it and Nokotan...for the latter to lose fair and square, but also if she's gone, the Deer Club will be no more, and Koshitan takes the challenge because of her DeerColle knowledge to force a draw. Are the assassins wanting to deport Nokotan, or just having fun playing with her and Koshitan just for the sake of it. Even Neko showed up just for the final hurrah, not for the student council, but for the Deer Club. Ojika Town in Kyushu, more than having weird events, Nokotan...is really in danger lols. A challenge letter from Nara mascot Sento, Nokotan has no choice but to have her rigorous finale training arc...for a deer mascot finale. And with all the humans and deers avaliable to witness the WWE-esque fight, with Chiharu's brother Yoshiharu being the arena judge, just because anime finale things. And all of the plot questions like Nokotan's deer helicopter and antler bombs, they literally cram all of that together, just because they can. What can I say...Nokotan...is quite the experience. Love it or hate it, it's brainrot from start to finish, I'll give it this as much. |

| Decent finale. Overall, mostly an average show, but still a little better than I expected. As I have stated here a couple of times before, I'm not the biggest fan of this type of brainrot anime, like Asobi Asobase, Lucky☆Star, Nichijou, Plastic Neesan, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Teekyuu, etc. Anyway, I think the comedy worked pretty nicely in this case, although some of the jokes were lame or repetitive. So, this was kinda the biggest surprise of the season simply because I expected something much worse.  |

| Ended just how it started, fucking random, stupid, and many more words I cant think of on the top of my head. This has a target demographic and if you aren’t in it, then you obviously won’t like it lol. I am the target demographic, so far what it was, it was all it needed to be. Nothing more, nothing less. | No time for the Disappearance of Shikanoko Noko. We need to do, the training arc and the tournament arc in the same episode. So nice that Koshitan can be true to herself now in front of everyone. The mystery of the first episode was revealed. My desire to one day go to Nara to pet a deer got stronger. Was a great series. |

| Good lord, this show has amazingly managed to make me stumped week in and week out. I love a certain kind of absurdity but this was not quite it, I guess. Most of the segments were boring imo and relied too much on a ridiculous solution from Nokotan. Going to have to settle with a 5/10 here. At least the Op was great and we got some nice IG reels from it, ahem. |

| They saved funniest ep for the end, went all out with meta and 4th wall breaking in this one plus training montage and boxing part made me laugh out loud. | After 12 episodes I have no idea what I just watched. Still, it made me laugh hard first 2 episodes. Plus the song is legendary by itself. 8/10. |
| Holy crap... they really messed with us, pretending they didn't remember Shikanoko in the previous episode. They did whatever they wanted with this final episode. Who would have thought that after Nokotan's entire repertoire, she wouldn't be able to defeat the mascots promoting tourism? As usual, everything was random and ridiculous, but personally, I enjoy that kind of thing. Although the anime became repetitive in some parts, it was still enjoyable. I didn’t learn anything from this, if anything, I feel like I lost IQ watching it. I might even consider it one of those shows that’s so bad, it’s actually good. |

| Shikanoko sure has a lot of "enemies" lol, and the rocky parody was really fun they even made a song... that mascot is way too strong though Shikanoko got defeated even while cheating throwing bombs as a deer helicopter xD Anyway that was sure a funny ending, liked the show overall as a parody/crazy one but I feel like the 1st half was actually much better and became somewhat average during the last episodes. |

| Thought this finale was gonna be a lot more serious/emotional based on how they set it up in the last episode, but nope, more of the same gags. I did think Sento vs Nokotan was so ridiculous so that got a chuckle from me, as well as Koshitan’s little dance during the festival.. but the finale suffered from the same issues as the other episodes, it’s just not funny.. this is very much a question of taste. If you’re the target audience for these sort of gags you’re gonna love it, I’m not, and found it pretty hard to watch at times. We should’ve got more Yuri with Nokotan and Koshitan tho lol Not gonna say it sucks, just wasn’t for me. More power to ya if you liked it tho. |

| It's good to have a show like this where you don't have to think too hard and just have a blast watching it. This show was peak brain nourishment content and this finale was no different! The dance battle with Kyun-Chan was great and would of been my favorite part...that is if Nokotan didn't commit several crimes by the end of the episode and bomb an entire wrestling arena. Peak fiction and I need season 2 asap. |

| the fight was lit, let's be honest, some of the earlier stuff was fine, I wonder if that hunter survived?? Anyways, this show was just awesome, it's good to have a comedy that isn't lame enough to rely on misunderstandings or so called "romance" because those suck. Very standard funny man x straight man comedy that also broke the fourth wall and I know it gets a lot of hate but I loved it. 9/10 |

| Another entertaining enough episode. I shouldn't be too surprised the swerved us with that ending last time. Everybody's here for the final episode. As bit silly at times as expected but whatever works I guess. I would have loved this a lot more if I was still a child but some for the slapstick humour was a bit too ridiculous. 7/10 |

| I’ll give them this, I was not expecting that post credits scene of the previous episode setting up the plot of this one to go completely ignored lol, they got me, of course I knew it wouldn’t be an actual serious plot twist but I thought it would at least be a big plot point, oh well, funny deer mascots I guess lol. Yeah this was a pretty fun finale ngl, the first half of the episode didn’t do much for me but I did find the deer mascots to be interesting (and also Koshi’s dance), the Rocky reference with the training montage paired with a song that sounded like a mix of “Eye of the Tiger” and “Burning Heart” was also cool. But the 2nd half of the episode I think was among the best bits of the show, and this is mainly thanks to the last few moments, I especially liked Nokotan dropping bombs on everyone lol, and the bit where Sento-kun came flying through the smoke also got me, that dude just looks so goofy so seeing him do that was a enough to do me in. And of course it’s no surprise Nokotan didn’t get deported in the end, but I can appreciate the silliness of the match, that last shot of her and Koshi was a nice final moment. And finally, the goofy deer show is over, and I say finally because this one unfortunately did not live up to the hype for me, I remember week 1 there were so many people flocking to this show calling it peak brainrot or a 10/10 generational anime, but now I’m not seeing so much praise. Of course there are those that are still of this opinion and that’s fine, more power to anyone who loved this, but it’s not quite the same for me, and this is mainly thanks to the comedy. Yeah, comedy is subjective, I know that too well because there have been plenty of shows I found hilarious but many others didn’t, but Nokotan unfortunately is on the other side of that where I’m one of those that didn’t find it funny, and while comedy is subjective, I think I can pick a few reasons why this didn’t hit well with me. The first is the narrator, there may have been a handful of times I found him funny but most of the time I feel he ruined what would have been funny jokes, I just don’t think a show having a resident joke explainer is a good idea lol. The second thing is the ost, good lord that “Shiiikaaa” music was overused imo, maybe the first few times it was amusing but eventually it started ruining otherwise good scenes, even in this episode I rolled me eyes when it started playing. And I’m sure I could probably go on about the execution of some jokes and whatnot, but I am not the king of comedy or the comedy police, I think I’ll chalk stuff like that up to it just not being for me, and I’m sure some jokes would have been funnier if I was Japanese, like in this episode maybe the deer mascots would have been better if I had the knowledge of them already. But all that being said, I did still find myself enjoying this show thanks to the other things like the CGDCT aspect, all the girls were cute and had great designs, and I generally enjoyed their silliness even if I didn’t find it funny most of the time. I also just liked the absurdness, maybe it didn’t hit with me comedy wise but I can appreciate it for the fun aspect, and of course the show was well made too so from a production standpoint it was nice to look at, and I can’t forget to mention the OP which took the Internet by storm, it is damn catchy after all lol, as well as the ED with real life footage which I liked. So yeah, while I didn’t find it very funny, I liked the show, and I think I’ll miss the weekly adventures of Koshi and the deer club, it was certainly a unique show I don’t think I’ll be forgetting. And now that this is over, I think in the very near future I’ll give Asobi Asobase a rewatch just to confirm that it’s still funny to me because I saw someone use it as a comparison to this but I found that show gutbustingly hilarious, and I may also give shows like Nichijou a first watch just to see if maybe those are more for me, and it’s not just that I don’t like this kind of humor. (Also sorry for the huge post, I had a lot to say lol, no one will read it most likely but I wanted to put it out there) |

| did not live up to the hype at all lmao, the opening was a banger and probably my favorite of the season though, that's all i can give it. otherwise, this was just as bad as nichijou but i'll leave this with a lower score since that had better visuals. i was half-expecting an s2 announcement though. |

| Welp, it seems the cliffhanger from last episode was just a joke. Mega dramatic storyline with Koshitan hallucinating the entire season won't be a thing after all. Sadge. Decent finale for an overall pretty disappointing show. Not a fan of the first half but things sure got more entertaining once Sento-kun showed up. Also nice to learn the mascots that appeared were all actually real. But yeah, gotta be honest and say that I didn't click with this show one bit. Most of the segments were uninteresting or way too absurd/random for my taste, jokes were practically all unfunny and Shikanoko got on my nerves a fair amount of times. Mainly because of how stressed out Koshitan ended up feeling due to her shenanigans. 3/10 - Only reasons I didn't score this lower were because of Han Megumi's amusing voice acting and Bashame's character. Man... and to think there were some people comparing this to Nichijou aka the GOAT of absurd comedy smh. |
