| Crunchyroll has shifted the episode releases from Sunday to Wednesday, so rejoice! https://x.com/AIR_News01/status/1820990526277251197 The 18 short stories of the manga, it's Nokotan unhinged, from selling antlers online to drinking from antlers, and even making antler bonito flakes. Anything goes with those antlers of various shapes and kinks. Even Neko got summed by the power of the antlers, and the references are crazy, the likes of Bocchi the Rock. It's Summer time with Summer uniforms, though Anko is just being a pervert to her older sister, and Nokotan is molting....it's definitely not rice blast, when Tsunoda comes along with the same spots for Summer coats, and they almost got copyrighted for the Bambi reference lols. One thing though, Bashame likes it a lot. Too bad for Neko, both Chiharu and Kinu didn't make progress on trying to eradicate the Deer Club, and Nokotan...comes along with a Tsuchinoko that she extracted from the school grounds. It defintely has a weird volleyball shape to it, though it doesn't consume deer crackers, but chalk instead. Oh welp, it's a joint effort between the Deer Club and the student council then to take care of this weird creature. Wild, just wild lols, just attach deer antlers to anything and it'll work. |

| "But we're just some dumb comedy anime, so don't think about it too hard." Yeah, don't worry. No brain cells were ever going to be expended whenever I watch this anime. Anyways, here are the eye catches for this week's episode:
Well, looks like CR is on the Wednesday release schedule like ABEMA-which I honestly thought they wouldn’t do-so that should equate to better subs and probably more early engagement in these discussion posts for future episodes. But once again, the narrator kicks off this week on this anime's many instances of self-awareness, hoping that we don't get any objections or complaints from deer conservation groups. And to mark the halfway point for this anime–which honestly didn't feel so long ago–we got "18" mini's in addition to the regularly scheduled episode of Nokotan's antics within the Deer Club, Koshitan especially, and the rest of the weirdo crew that is the Student Council. From Nokotan's versatility of herself and her antlers to even selling them on a pseudo shopping channel–we got a whole variety of things going on this first half. The second half of the episode opens up with Koshian's siscon down-bade energy as usual, but of course being multiplied due to their summer uniforms. Nokotan, however, the new weather brings with it a new skin pattern and whole body shedding? This is definitely up there on the weirdest things this anime has done, not to mention Bashame does with this shedded skin. And as for the Student Council, Nekotan is back on her fruitless schtick of plotting the eradication of the Deer Club despite her first-year officers have already been won over, not to mention that Nokotan appears at the most random time, bringing along a new friend of hers. Just seeing Nekotan falling in love with the not-tsuchinoko when exchanging contact reminds me of the "dad and the dog" meme funnily enough, even if it was brief. Luckily, the two groups have taken a shared responsibility in raising this creature. |

| Wait Crunchyroll changed the release schedule on us like that with no warning 😭 now Wednesdays are even crazier Idk what the hell I just watched honestly. This show is pure autism and ADHD lmao. I guess we got 16 various skits ranging from pure brain rot to wtf. My faves have to be the mercari bit at the start and the Nokotan molting one. I did not expect to see Mercari mentioned in an anime lmao. Used to be my go to to sell old shit when I was down bad The vuvuzela?? Holy shit is it South Africa 2010 lol. So many great references and meta jokes in this one. Bambi, Disney copyright jokes that deadpool himself would be proud of and even the narrator straight up making fun of the manga for being stuck on summer for 3 whole years 😂 Nokotan molting her “fur” was legitimately one of the most unhinged things I’ve seen. Then Bashame’s bat shit insane ass gonna put the damn thing on like a costume man I’m done with this show lmaoo. Seeing Tsuchinoko reference in this ep after the last wonderful precure episode was also really funny. This was an eccentric episode that was all over the place but lot of good laughs |

| Yeah , after this episode, I think is safe to drop this anime. Pretty sure this time they just match the actual length of the source material now with those instant 4 penal one minute jokes. Sadly none of them are funny at all. Can safely say the source is pretty boring and not worth reading to begin with, and the anime actually makes it survive a bit longer than it should with the good production and catchy OP. |

| Well I guess Last Crusade Season 2 being delayed worked out in my favor with crunch releasing these episodes on the ABEMA date now, which honestly I was surprised they didn’t do to begin with since other shows I’ve watched that aired early on ABEMA would also appear on crunch, but hey at least they did it now. And this was a decent episode, I thought the 18 short bits would last the whole episode but they were actually so short they only lasted half the episode, and imo that’s a shame because some of the bits I felt had more potential beyond what we got of them, and honestly most of them I didn’t like that much, although I did really like the Nokotan coffee maker bit, as well as Nokotan and Bashame getting competitive with cats and the wind. The 2nd half of the episode was back to normal, and damn they were really going hard on the meta jokes in this one, sometimes it worked but I think they overdid it a bit. And it’s kinda sad they blasted through summer time, I was liking the summer uniforms complete with Anko simping for Koshi, and the skin suit bit was really wild when you consider that it’s also a fetish and Bashame put that shit on lol, but I guess maybe they didn’t want to draw Nokotan with spots so we speedran summer, would’ve been nice if we got a summer festival or something but it is what it is. And the last bit with the student council was an odd one but I enjoyed the “tsuchinoko” rejecting Nokotan and winning Nekoyamada’s favor, I guess she won this time lol. |

| It was a weak episode. I hate it when an episode is divided into many random segments. This is why I'm not a fan of Pseudo Harem. Anyway, some jokes require the knowldge of Japanese, and the subtitles failed to convey that. |
| Episode flew by because of all the shorts. Many dumb gags, some were great. Somehow Neko Neko is becoming my favourite character. I guess I like tsunderes. |

| It feels like they've truly embraced the fact that it's a shitpost anime, and are just doing whatever weird no filter brainstormed shit that initially comes to mind. I wouldn't say they played it "safe" in earlier episodes (especially ep 2-3, my least fav eps), but this show continues to get more braindead and I think it's better for it. That molt/skin suit scene was so fucked lol... |
