| Ha, this episode was priceless. I wasn't expecting the cast to be in a tropical jungle environment. A lot of amusing moments happened inside there too with the animals, drama, etc. What I also didn't expect to see was an overgrown octopus in there but then agian, this is Urusei Yatsura where anything can happen. Second half of this episode was also filled with madness at school...especailly with a pink haired Lum. |

| Ah yes Mendo's best pals the octos. To think that they're so important to the family though. The mansion sure has quite the variety on enviroments though. Who would think that arctic octos can transform into giants when they get hot. Loved the interactions between it and Mendo though. To think that to Oni pickled plums was akin to alcohol. One hell of a ruckous that drunk Lum backed by a equally drunk Ten caused though. Looks like we're going to have visitors next week though. |

| Finally, Drunkard's Boogie and Raiders of the Lost Mendo. I kinda knew they wouldn't include the Margarita scene because they didn't include Kokorobosoi na in Episode 10 but since the last episode had an insert song I was hoping they'd at least put a new song in it instead. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, here's the scene from Episode 42 of the original Still, this was a good episode. I loved how Jariten's hair became orange and Lum's hair became red which might actually be more manga-accurate(?) than her iconic green hair. Sumire Uesaka was fantastic as drunk Lum. Also, I guess they thought I wouldn't notice. They cut the scene where Sakura spits shochu on Ataru's face and he licks it. Ig a 5-year-old alien getting drunk off umeboshi is fine showing a 17 yo mildly tasting alcohol is where you draw the line. I miss 80's anime where teenagers would smoke and drink without censorship lol. The original episode 115 had some extra fanservice with Shinobu. It was borderline tentacle hentai before they were popular... But since the original manga didn't have that scene I guess I can't really blame the Remake for not adapting it. Bruh, this must be the first episode where Kosuke was called by his name. Kosuke was done dirty in the Remake. He finally got his proper anime debut after being replaced in the original anime with Megane and now he's being treated as an extra. Pitiful. Also, Remake "Megane" got some lines. One of which was obviously a callback to the original Megane. That was cute. I'm so glad the next episode will be stand-alone. We'll finally get the debut of the Spice Girls. Wonder who is voicing them. More importantly, we'll FINALLY get more Benten and Oyuki. Something the Remake is sorely lacking. It'll be an adaptation of 3 chapters but since it's a single story it should feel very smooth. I can only hope the upcoming Miss Tomobiki episode will receive the same treatment. |

| First of all I didn't like the first half because I knew they were going to have some kind of tentacle plot which they did because Japan just can't help themselves.lol. The second half was hilarious because we get to see Lum getting drunk off of pickled plums. Now everyone at the school had to deal with the Charmander and Pickachu combination of Ten and Lum. Never give an oni pickled plums. |

| as expected; a pretty tame tentacle scene, i wasn't even expecting ryunosuke's shirt to be ripped so for that much to happen surprised me. shinobu knows her selling point lmao. ataru wasted no time sacrificing himself for sakura, i would too tbf. |

| Definitely on the more chaotic side of things this time, the first bit is one I haven’t seen in the OG yet but it was a good one, gotta have that classic tentacle hentai lol and it’s good to know it’s more fanservicey in the OG than we saw here, but it was still hilarious how the guys were all focused on Ryuunosuke after her shirt got shredded lol. I also appreciate Megane getting some lines here since he got nerfed hard in the remake. The 2nd bit is one I’ve seen in the OG and the absence of the trippy Margarita sequence automatically makes this one not as good but it was still fun, drunk Lum was hilarious and the chaos that ensued due to her drunk state was done well, I did like the addition of her hair changing color as well. Looks like next episode is all one story which I’m looking forward to. |

| You want something from Mendou? You can have it! You just have to find his special blue octopus! It was of course too good to be true because Mendou's house is a literal dangerous safari and the octopus turns into a Kaiju when it gets hot. Hilarious stuff, including the second part where Lum and Ten get drunk off plums and the entire cast has to deal with their special powers. Not just Ataru! |

| Not much to say about this episode other than it's pretty much straight adaptation. It's alright and I just wish they could add their own flair a bit more ins just toning down some scenes. That was a strange choice when they decided to make the Antartic octo blue colour. It just make the " it's just normal octopus line" less impactful and not that funny. I want to see the "poor folks life simulation" get adapted, that one is good. And for the pickled episode, it's just really inferior and less funnier than the og. But I really like the hair colour change on oni when they drunk. |

| Mendo's mansion sure houses some weird things, like a pool of octopuses for celebrating the Hyottoko like a god reigning over the family. And the best of all, is an Antarctic one, the rarest of all: Matsuchiyo...which is the same ol' octopus in a different shade of color. But releasing this dumb octopus being insulted by Ataru and fleeing into the greenhouse (which is premonitionly bad), a wish granted to find Matsuchiyo is at stake. With the greenhouse flooded with human carcasses, Matsuchiyo grows big due to the temperature of the environment. Of course, the usual trope to expect from a tentacle scene, thank god it didn't went too far. A regular day in school, and Ten is fixated on Ataru's pickled umeboshi plum, only except that it makes him drunk. Trying that experiment off of Lum, and as expected, it makes even the typical alien drunk, but in a yandere way to go high. Wanting more of the pickled plum, Lum shocks everyone within her sight of view when trying to find Ataru, and the only way is to wash it off with alcohol. Not even Nurse Sakura can stop her, and the shochu causing more of a ruckus, it's frenzy. Nice comedy. |

| Amphibious octopi that can survive out of water is a miracle in of it self. DRUNK LUM. I like that the animators make her hair a shimmering red in that state. The gag that she's typically in a bikini anyway was rad. |

| I think when Lamu attacked the wild animals it was the first time she used her lightning for something useful (for others at least). Also, I laughed a lot when Shinobu convinced the octopus to not undress her |
