Damn, this is the angriest I've ever seen coming from Vanitas. Noe himself also showed a lot of emotions this episode. It's also too bad that Domi got involved in this.

Imo, this was a very dramatic episode and serves its purpose as the one before the series' finale. I've also never seen Domi so scared before.

It's very cringey, can't believe investor pour a lot of money for this cringey story. Yes, I know vampire genre is already cringey but Vanitas is beyond what I can accept. It's like they made for teenagers.

Vanitas IS PISSED that Mikhail forgot what happened in the past, yet he is able to re-account all those moments vividly.

Will it be Vanitas's surrender to Mikhail, or Domi's suicide orchestrated by him, this is where both of their interests collide. But to edge the knife deeper, Mikhail reveals Louis's real roots, which Vanitas wants nothing out of it, that consequently sent Noé on a rampage against his friend.

And things just don't get any better, forcing one above the other, and Vanitas is on yet another rampage to kill those whom tries to get hold of his memories. The only way to stop this infighting is if Domi sacrificed her life, and in the nick of time, Jeanne interfered, but that wasn't enough to save both Vanitas and Noé, still stuck in their rut.

Vanitas will go to extreme lengths to secure his hidden past, and Noé is ready to sacrifice his life for the greater good.

Yuki Kaijura's music composition this episode, is pure entertaining terror. But otherwise, what an episode, and the finale can't wait another week more enough.

Holy shit what a tense and incredible episode! Vanitas vs Noe is sure something impressive to witness along with the other drama elements, good thing that Jeanne could save Domi from killing himself, but damn Mikhail's presence added to this whole mess is making it even better

Am I the only one who finds this little battle kinda forced? Like I don't actually believe that Noe and Vanitas are at odds. I think they both realize that they aren't at odds, they just want to see how far the other will go. Fighting each other seems like an easy way to show conflict, but its weak! And why is Jeanne there? I want to focus on cute loli boy, not Vanitas fighting someone he has said multiple times that he doesn't care about and a vampire that has a thing for him whether he knows it or not.

I want a better conflict :(

You expected something else? Jun's works are made almost solely for young fujoshi who like shipping characters, shounen ai stuff, shota BS, etc. If you can look past that, it's a decent anime at times.

If you're into that sorta stuff, this would be one of the greatest anime for you, personally, it's a 7/10.

Well you either missed alot of stuff or you still didnt understood their psyche..Al those backstories were shown in order to make this conflict. For starters(I will try to keep it as brief as possible)
Vanitas is holding on to the words of someone he loved the most
And it is shown countless times that whenever his past came up, his psyche took a 180 shift.
The reason why he said that to Noe was because he was aware of the hypnosis done and well he didnt wanted to hurt him in the end.(but since he was in a vulnerable state he said that)
Also He was afriad of Noe...He didnt thought Noe would actually attempt to drink his blood and seeing Noe s experssion, he was broke. Noe realized that when he saw himself in the mirror ofcourse
For Noe, Protecting domi is like his no 1 priority?
As for why Vanitas hates Domi, he sees himself in her and thats the version he hates.
About jeanne it was already shown in episode 8 that Luca sent her there
So in other words there is a alot more going on then just the fighting and the anime from the start was building the reasons for why vanitas and Noe might actually fight each other in the end.
Now combine all that up and you get this end result
its not like "I have a tragic backstory and thats not going to change anything" or "I am still such a optimistic great person even though i have a traumatic childhood experience" All their past experiences have "consequences"

Also as that other person said, their conflict is extremely meaningful. It seems as if they will settle their differences if they end this conflict - then why the story hasn't ended?

I think I ever said this to you before, read it PROPERLY this time. Jun actually doesn't make manga for specific reader, she makes manga that she likes. So you said she made this "almost solely for young fujoshi" is totally WRONG.

If you don't believe me, you can see this translated interview. https://www.google.com/amp/s/aminoapps.com/c/pandora-hearts/amp/blog/jun-mochizukis-interview-at-japan-expo/XQax_Nqhgu83DYwP38XZ4ogaMEZxm2MqL

You watch a lot of anime so maybe you know shipping is something that often happen in other anime too. Some people just like to ship, there are two male characters close with each other, they ship it, doesn't mean it's the author purpose . If you think this has shounen ai undertone, that's your problem. If you think shota is BS, that's your problem. Not everyone think same as you. Jun only makes 2 male lead close with each other, that's up to people how they perceive them. I never perceive them as attracted to each other romantically, irl there are straight men who have this type of relationship too, no reason for me to think they love each other romantically. I never ship anyone too. Jeanne and Vanitas love each other romantically is actually more obvious too.

it kind of does feel forced but didn't mikhail say that vanitas used some kind of self-brainwashing that kicks in when someone tries to take his memories so he's acting automatically based on that.

They don't have to be mutually exclusive lol, Jun may write about her interests, but they also obviously mirror the target audience as well. She writes one story only and it sells, so kudos to her of course. I mean, you've been hooked, lined and sinkered from what I can tell by your favs, there's no use arguing to me about this, when you're exactly what I'm talking about. Did you remember what you write? You said "Jun's work are made almost solely for". The truth she doesn't make manga for specific audience (According to interview). So there is actually no target audience if she doesn't purposely write her manga for any target audience. It's simple logic, honestly. Target audience means that you purposely write manga for specific audience, you match your manga for specific audience. If she doesn't do it, then no target audience. You said it's obviously mirror target audience is wrong because there is no target audience to begin with. That's why she said you can think of it as shounen, shoujo, seinen, up to you. Our interest happen to align and she purposely do it for specific audience is completely different. This is based on what Jun said herself, next is my opinion.

I don't think she will make canon straight charscters if this is for fujoshi 😂 There is case like this in the past that fujoshi angry because their ship become canon with female character right. And it actually happen to Vanitas too. Many Japanese fujoshi complaining because Jeanne and Vanitas love each other. 😂 And she read people tweet so I think she knows many fujoshi don't like Jeanne. Is there a person who will make manga for fujoshi but included something fujoshi will hate? Doesn't make sense. Two male leads go to journey together means it's manga for fujoshi doesn't make sense too. Not only Jun never said it, It's just your speculation without base lol.

And I already told you about shipping things that many author doesnt purposely do it for fans to ship but you don't reply 😂 For example: She likes to write a story with two male leads. Doesn't mean she write it for fujoshi, it just happens fujoshi likes story with two male lead because they can ship it. Can you see the difference? AND THIS IS APPLICABLY NOT ONLY WITH JUN BUT AUTHOR WITH TWO MALE LEADS BUT NOT BL. Since before I always talk in general regarding ship I speak for other author too. But you speak as if Jun is controlling me is weird. Not only you don't know me but you are just prejudice. It's nothing to do with my fav. You can know if I make sense or not from my message, but you decide to brush me off just because I put Jun in my favorite. And I actually write to you in Ousama ranking too, so I write to you not because I am her fans but because I see you often blame people for your own problem. You don't introspect yourself, you think the other people are the wrong one even if many people complain about you. I told you the same thing in Ousama Ranking forum.

Oh yeah, your way of thinking is still as weird as ever, I ever told you this too in Ousama Ranking forum, you are full of negativity. Normal people will think if someone put a person in their favorite it means maybe their works inspire people, but you think they were caught in her web. What's wrong with you 😂

It didn’t feel forced to me at all. Vanitas is fighting Noe because of self hypnotism and Noe is protecting himself/trying to protect Domi. All because of Misha. When Noe first attacked Vanitas and almost bit him you could see fear in Vanitas’s face because he truly didn’t want to fight Noe.

It's very cringey, can't believe investor pour a lot of money for this cringey story. Yes, I know vampire genre is already cringey but Vanitas is beyond what I can accept. It's like they made for teenagers.

You watched it this far.. seems like you like it🤣

No, they have nearly caught up with the manga; season 2 won't be coming at least for 2 years...

OK so there will be a season 2 but we'll have to wait 2years?! That's something I don't rlly get the second part came out not even a year's after the first season so why 2 years?

They simply caught up with the source material and have no more stuff to adapt, if it's clear to you now.

Different cour and different seasons are different things altogether.

They rushed thru last arc, and this arc it's more of cutting small stuff.
