Fantastic episode as always.

Senkuu the absolute madman, building Carbon Fiber tanks in the Stone Age. He even built the tank for the old people, the man's too cool and tsun for his own good. :(

How did Tsukasa ever figure out that Senkuu would build a Steam Engine of all things and even figure out that they would make a frontal assual with it? Well, whatever I guess.
Truth be told, I want Chrome to escape himself using some absolutely insane tactic, would be a sight worth seeing.

Detective Suika back again to save the day!

Senku being the sly devil he is upgrades the car to a tank, and the paper experiment was actually really interesting.

The transportation went to the crazy route. Its not a train, not a pretty car. But, its a steam gorilla!

Damn, i never expect they built the the tank with the design to be like that. I mean, hell, that was really a steam gorilla! The airless tires were expected, to adapt well with those land contours. But the materials to built it, from the bamboos weaves, surely blow my mind instantly. I never expect them to built a paper, thus the shield later on, which led them into a carbon-fiber thingy. Damn, really a big brain! Industrial revolution for real! Its looks like they still remain the guerrilla strategy. Thats pretty brilliant idea using that cliff as their new homebase, one step closer to reach Tsukasa home. But, i still don't know their plan, together with those ram-tank vehicle usability. Even Tsukasa plan just give me a headache, too big brain! Not to mention Chrome had a different idea too, as a science user!

Damn, the next prison break time of arc, must be so much hype than these kind of inventions episode. Really looking forward to it!

Forgot that Tsukusa is pretty smart as well, so he was able to predict Senku’s next move. And now Chrome has to save himself to stop the others from falling into the trap. Interesting twist.

Yeah, it's just poor writing, and imo it's crippled this season since the very beginning. I don't buy anything that's happened so far. Nothing seems even remotely plausible.

This is why Dr. Stone's anime is the definitive experience. It builds up the hype so godly.

They made the car into a Tank XD. Damn cool.

I seriously did not think they would be able to make Carbon Fiber in the Stone World. Learned something today, huh?

The traps Tsukasa set up would be able.
Chrome is definitely going to escape on his own and the plan is not going to work as intended.

Man the evolution of the steam gorilla was really cool, starting out with pretty much just the engine on wheels to a tank lol. Great episode as always, can’t wait to see the tank in action and how Chrome breaks out of jail next week.

Ah yes... almost forgot about Tsukasa being a psychic who could anticipate each one of Senkuu's moves. Curious how this series is more enjoyable for its comedy rather than for its story progression. Not even the crafting aspect is entertaining anymore.

Good Ep. Tank is here at last.
Tsukasa predicting steam engine was dumb luck. They could've done it better.
Like maybe Ukyo hearing the sound of it moving or maybe someone seeing the tyre marks or something.

The steam gorilla was pretty cool. Senku and his crew did really well to make the steam engine with the resources they had and testing it out with wooden tyres was pretty funny to watch Gen bouncing over every bump like there's no tomorrow. XD

Thankfully, they upgraded it so had it had tyres made to absorb the bumpy off-road terrain easily. When the group arrived at their camp overlooking Tsukasa's empire stronghold, they converted the steam gorilla into a tank, with the paper reinforced armour and new studded tyres to give the gorilla tank an aggressive look.

The only little nitpick I have with this episode is how Tsukasa can easily predict what Senku would do next and asjust his plans accordingly. His brain has a little too much plot armour for convenience sake, but it's only a little chink in an otherwise great episode.

I do look forward to seeing Chrome and his ambitious attempt to break out on his own. If he can pull that off, that'll give Senku's group a big advantage in the upcoming battle. =)

STEAM GORILLA IS NOW OPERATIONAL. And Senkuu and the Science Kingdom are using it to free Chrome and forced the Tsukasa Empire to surrender. Also I never knew paper can turn into that majestic armor, I'm learning stuff here.

On the other side, Chrome is scared because the plan of escaping him out will not work because of the traps, so our boi is now looking for a way out on his own. We're now halfway into the season and we're now ramping up to the climax of the Stone Wars.

It took humans generations to build a wheel, but building an automobile in the Stone Age was next to nothing.

Probably that's why he was considering this tank as "one time use".

Honestly I can imagine that Senku predicted that he will be captured by Tsukasa then taken to his fake grave for his public execution so he and all Tsukasa's people can be there so they could play music.

Look, I can accept that Senku is the smartest person to ever exist so he can figure out how to build everything. But what I have a problem with is how quickly he is able to create all of these inventions using such minimal resources. How did they build another steam engine after relocating to the new base? Didn’t they need the water-wheel for that? Where are they getting all these raw materials like coal, honey, brass, and plastic and where are they keeping them? I didn’t see a lot of materials in the car or being carried by people. Either the season is moving too fast so things are not being explained enough or none of it makes any sense.

I don't usually defend illogical things about a show. I usually say it is how this show is. But if you want a logical explanation:

The time in this anime moves too fast. And even faster in this particular episode. There was snow on the ground at the start of the episode, and when they made the first version of steam gorilla, there was not. There are AT LEAST 10 days between those moments. Though I think it is even more. The tank upgrade could have taken 5 days, we don't know.

They didn't build another steam engine. Senku just added another cylinder. I would say building another cylinder is not hard. But it is mechanically challenging as it will drop efficiency if not engineered correctly.

They moved materials with the steam gorilla. The two purposes of the steam gorilla was to move elderly people and move science materials. It was said in the last episode. And in this episode, elderly people backed out so they could carry even more materials with the vehicle. That being said, I don't know why he wanted to bring elders to the battle in the first place. He was planning something else maybe.

I do wonder how it will develop since they prepared the traps, so either Chrome will escape before or Senku has a plan B on the spot xD

So hyped for the next episode, Senku indeed with his promises seems like a savior with "magic" power to everyone in the village, but i wonder if he will be able to do this.

Damn, all the episodes are very intense. Senku is upgrading themselves in hell of a speed. If he had destructive attack in his mind then it was very easy to destroy Tsukasa empire. Bad luck that Tsukasa understood their plan. I wonder if Chrome can make it out of his prison. Else it will be a disaster. Argh, the next episode is going to be more intense. I thought exactly that! Like he's almost a genius too. I liked this episode a lot but I just wished the steam car was a bit less perfect and that the time passing was a bit more evident to justify the mining and crafting time.

Anyway, let's see how Chrome manages to do something about the traps.

everything about tsukasa irks me. his character design (long flowing locks, etc) and his english va (whom i generally like but not his tsukasa voice)

and look, i love the sciene aspect of this show. it's much more interesting than this tsukasa/senku war. the war is just the medium through which we can do science, as far as i'm concerned. that said, this steam engine getting super sized like that half way through the episode was too much. it's not just how they were able to build a massive upgrade in the middle of nowhere. but it's the fact that that steam engine already had a primitive engine and struggled going up hills. now it's twice as big and maybe 3 times as heavy...

i am curious how chrome will escape though

I felt really sad for the elders, but 'twas a wise decision. However, that gorilla steam engine upgraded by carbon fiber was amazing! It even passed Kinro's spear test. Suika is so cute and flexible that she makes for the perfect spy. However, Kohaku with her killer lines lol. It is up to Chrome now to escape on his own as Tsukasa has setup measures to defeat Senku.

Series like this will always fail to live up to their potential with trash villains like this. He's not portrayed as all bad, but the way he apparently sees the future and locks himself into what senku does with absolutely no knowledge is just trash. At least guess a few things, not just immediately assume he's coming with a steam vehicle
