"Okabe degraded from best character to worst"
Okay, I guess that's your opinion. But seriously, why? The only thing that's different is that Okabe's now depressed which makes perfect sense considering what happened to him and the whole depression thing was handled greatly imo so I don't know where you're coming from.
"Generic superhuman anime action scenes"
They fixed the animation problems with the bluray version. That argument died a long time ago.
"Trash characters like Mayuri's cosplay friends and woman professor, they were literally not shown in the later half of the show"
New characters didn't need to be overly interesting, that's not the focus of the story.
"Dangling story, like why Mayuri's friend had Reading Steiner or why was Yuki getting hurt like she was one of the assailants, or why the hell Kagari is a clone of Kurisu"
You're mistaken here. Fukubi doesn't have reading steiner. This never was established. You confuse faint memories and Reading Steiner. Faint memories is about remembering some events from previous worldlines. Reading Steiner is not about remembering. Reading Steiner is basically memory rewriting between worldlines.
"Too many forced emotional scenes. Are we expected to care about Kagari?"
I don't know man, 0 had its moments alright. And no, Kagari isn't the focus of the show, the new characters are just there to show how the characters from OG has progressed and meet new peoples and to tie in events from the original.
"Character interactions and dialogues degraded a lot. There were good episodes like episode 8, 21, 22."
Dialogue isn't one of the big positives about steins gate in the first place. I never heard anyone mentioning about steins gate dialogues ever. Yes, it has great characters but steins gate ain't a show like Pulp Fiction with some witty dialogue.
And that's the point. 0 is about what will happen in the worldline where Okabe failed to save Kurisu so it's not that surprising that he's depressed. He only put the "Mad Scientist" bravado to make Mayuri happy in the first place so the death of Kurisu must've shocked him to the core. It was always implied ever since the original steins gate that Okabe has PTSD in the 0 worldline. It isn't something new or anything of sort. Maybe pay a little more attention next time won't you
except 0 was its own thing even though its technically is a midquel to the original steins gate. It has its own mood, characters, emotions, and so many things that's different from the OG. It's clear that they were going for something different from the OG so it failing to do what the OG did well isn't a big deal really. And it's really a hyperbole to say that 0 failed to achieve everything that the OG did
