They cut so much from Ferdinand seeing our world... How he marveled at the doors of the library opening, how cars and lightbulbs worked (he thought that was magic), Main showing him the real Cinderella story in the library... And how ashamed he was for Main when she went and took a shower while he was seeing everything...

They also changed what I thought was the most emotional moment, when Main apologized to her Mom in the dreamworld, saying how sorry she was for dying first, and never realizing how much her mother cared for her. (That's the thing which was way too emotional for Ferdinand and why he was forced to cut the connection).

Do u mind if i ask where did u read? I am trying to read this novel for sometime. Did u bought it? If it's the case can u tell me where?

Because that was part 2 of first season technically :3.

Love how that punk noble/knight got humiliated in front of everyone! Ferdinand was harsh, but very deserving for the guy! Myne then just showed what she is able to do with her mana! Pretty darn epic, eventho she went a little overboard!

Finally we get to see the scene where S1 started with! So Ferdinand now holds the truth about Myne. Was waiting for this!

The story continues, let's hope we get a S3 announcement very soon!

Overall, great season! On the same level as S1, with great new characters, some of them started quite rough, but became likeable in the end!

This is why we need a third season to complete the story

Complete? Very far from it. Another season would just about finish the second main arc of the story, that is it would end on volume 7 of the books (we are at the end of volume 5). And you could qualify that as the ending of the exposition in some ways. The series goes on for 23 volumes at the moment with more coming. It will probably come out to about 30 volumes in total -- the story has been finished in web novel format (only available in Japanese sadly), and now being converted into actual volumes of light novels.

The books also contain much more than what has been shown in the anime, adaptation and quite obviously budget constraints hit the series really hard, for as much as the studio tried its hardest. The anime isn't half-bad, not by any means, but do yourself a favour and read the books where it is much more fleshed out and feels less disjointed. I still enjoyed watching these episodes even after having already read them, possibly even more so.

Man, what a ride. Everything predicted back in episode 1 was fullfilled.

The first part of this finale was quite interesting, with the Head Priestest ridiculizing Schicicoza small mana pp, and letting everyone know how powerful was Myne in a society that measures their greatness in mana size pools.

Secod part was even better, by adressing Myne's worries of her past life and trying to amend her relationship with her mother. This title really adresses the big flaw most recent isekai titles have, with an MC totally forgetting it's roots.

Hope we get a 3rd season down the road. These kind of adaptations come once every blue moon and are totally worth the time getting into.

Holy Crap!
I expected this to be the final season, but I was wrong I hope the third season is just as good or even better! Main going back to Japan and remembering it with Ferdinand was a strong and emotional scene not like other isekais that mostly ignore that part.

I hope the story does continue and we get a season 3 in the future. This series was both heartwarming and wholesome. Main and Lutz are adorable together and Main is just adorable in general.

I can see how being adopted by the Knight Commander could play out. I feel like she'll say no at first but eventually will accept with her remaining downtown as one of the conditions.

It would be interesting to see if someone else from the real world ended up in her world too.

Finally, I do enjoy the anime coming full circle with the same scene being shown from season 1 episode 1.

Seeing her real mom(well, other world mom) in the dream was crushing in a way. She'll never get that life back and it really hits in the episode;(. Some nice bonding between her and Ferdinand this episode i guess. Overall, this season is just as good as the first season. I'll definitely try to go back and take a look at the missed stuff in detail in the novel. Im hoping that ending was basically a season 3 confirmation.lol

We got right back to where we started off inside the hidden room. This season focuses less on Myne inventing stuff and more into social conflict instead. It's a bit irritating to see aristocracy system and all its conflicts, but I'm also grateful of the world we're having today.

See you later Myne (and your world-destructive pouty cheeks)..

Another really good season, even though I liked S1 more than this one.
Awesome ending, it got me emotional seeing her memories and then when she said thank you to her family. Very beautiful and touching moment.
I need a S3 confirmation!

This was a great season for a great show. I felt like this season took a more dramatic turn with the orphanage but I really loved seeing Myne grow as a character and integrate herself with the church and her helpers etc. Myne is so competent and mature, the way she handled that conflict at the end showed how much she's learned to control her emotions from the ending of the first season.

I did prefer the first season because I think I like the SOL elements of this show more than the fantasy elements - basically, I just want to see her invent things and try to realise her ideas through her skills and craft. Also, there was less focus on her friendship with Lutz and I kinda missed that a bit.

It was still great. It's a low 9/10 for me. Hope for a S3

Mayne will have a dilemma when the time comes for her to choose a life partner. Gil and Lutz are the frontrunners to really win her heart.

Oh please... nobody was victimized here. Ferdinand was conducting an investigation and he had valid reasons to be suspicious of Mayne. If you lived in the middle ages and discovered that one of your subordinates has inhuman abilities and unimaginable ideas, you'd want to know for sure if she's the real deal and not the demon lord reborn.

So the mystery's finally solved. The person with Urano in the OP was her mother. Man it was hard to hold back the tears. You definitely don't want to part ways with your loved ones on a bad note like that.

I'm so happy that Ferdinand continues to prove why he's my favorite character. He got to see our/Urano's world, he reciprocated her hug when she really needed it, AND tempted Main with books to snatch the tiara back. She's probably not gonna be happy about this new development of her getting adopted so she can get some noble protection. That's gonna be a real storm in the next season, whenever it comes.

TBF, Ferdinand was prepared to be forever hated by Myne after that intrusion. He had to do it because of the potential threat she was bringing to the Ehrenfest region, but it's not like he wasn't conscious of the consequences or was happily doing it.

That's why he was really surprised that she not only didn't hate him for it (that's also why he said to her "you're too carefree etc " during the dream part ) but even enjoyed guiding him around since it allowed her to see again places she left behind.

I never read the original books, so i can't judge this on an adaptation stand point.

However from an Anime only perspective, this series was a great story, it had good world building, great character development, beautiful animation and a wondrous soundtrack that all combined let you immerse into the world so wonderfully.

If it was not for the fact that this is not a complete adaption i would probably give it a 10/10 score but il give it the next best score at 9.

You rarely see these type o story that have so much attention to even the tiniest detail, whoever the writer of this story is they have a great talent in creating such a unique environment and story.

Weather their will be a season 3 of this, i can't say but at the very least it will be awhile before we get anything else. IF i remember well this series is hugely popular in japan at least the book sales are as they have ranked in top book franchises these last couple of years and that was before the anime was made so now im curious how it will effect it.

I recommend this to everyone to at least give it a try and be a little patient as it is a little slow to pick the story up but once it does, it is an amazing ride.

Quite delightful finale and decent cour.

This show is such a slow burner, but with the possibility of upcoming seasons it's something I fully approve.

I completly agree. This show is always there to help you up when feeling down. Sure, it also has its sad moments, but there is still this steady stream of positivity outshining everything.

This finale had it all. Myne showing her skill in magic, she is finally being recognised by nobles that have been taunting her forever, the headpriest got to understand where she is coming from and Lutz and her had a touching reunion.

8/10 Really enjoyed the journey and want to se more.

Quite an emotional episode. The highlight has got to be her revisiting her memories as Urano.

It was really sad to see how desperate she was to say sorry to her mother, especially with how their last interaction went. It's so sad that no matter how much she misses her mother, how much she regrets how their last interaction went, she'll never be able to go back and say sorry or even goodbye.

Another good season, like season 1. Lots more politics here and a lot of worldbuilding, especially about how the society is structure. A treat to watch as always!

Here's hoping for a season 3.

No no no, it is not dilemma at all. With Myne's talents she should marry some prince who would inherit throne and after that just murder him. Then she could rule the kingdom with iron fist and knowledge. Then she could rebuild kingdom to be invincible and conquer other nations and create an empire. After that she could read books as much as she liked and nobody could interrupt her or it would be off with the heads. Yes, yes, that is the perfect plan.

So... a couple quick observations from the finale of the 2nd series

1 - was it just me, or did the animation from the last episode (maybe the last 2 episodes) seem a little different than the rest of the season - wonder if that was a result of issues dealing with COVID.

2 - as a reader of the LN, I am a bit disappointed in how they showed the dreamworld. For most of the series, they followed the LN pretty religiously, but the dreamworld was radically changed. In the LN, she actually spoke with her mother (and apologized), ate her food, and also showed a lot of other details. Now, I didn't expect a lot of detail, but there was never anything where she was yelling for her mother - the anime producers added that for some added drama, which IMO was unneeded.

All that being said, this was easily the AoTS for me.

This show is seriously so massively underrated. It so powerful, so poignant. The characters are so intricately developed. Progress in the plot is slow and calculated, never rushed. I feel satisfied after every episode, but still hungry for more. I really hope they do make a third season. I would watch this for years if they'd let us.

this was a nice round off for the series. Of course, she was bed ridden after fixing the land.

It was nice to see Ferdinand and Main have somewhat of a bonding time, even if it was due to Ferdinand having doubts of Main.

This was everything that "yesterday wo Utatte" wasn't....

Sometimes you forget it's an isekai and think it's just a SoL.

Not as strong an adaptation as Season 1 but still worth 8/10.

Hopefully Season 3 will come winter 2020 or spring 2021 - it's not as if there isn't plenty of material to adapt, places to explore and books to read/write.
