I read it for A Level at high school as well. I suppose the duplicity and betrayal elements in Vinland has Hamlet vibes.

Canute seeing his dead father talking to him reminds me of Hamlet, where his dead father, also formerly the King, appears to him as a ghost and talks to him. And that play is also coincidently set in Denmark. It might be a direct allusion to Hamlet or maybe it inspired them in some way.

Yeah, some of those Naruto/Shippuden fillers, like the quest to see Kakashi's face, were a lot of fun. And it doesn't get any more badass than Sasuke and Itachi's fried egg cooking competition. That really woks!

Canute's changing into something else entirely from what he was when he was young and submissive and shy, but maybe there's something similar to his fathers nature in him - and that's why he's become increasingly ruthless and merciless in how he's set about achieving his ambitions and his desire to create a 'utopia'.

I saw your comment on the Vinland episode 12 forum. That goofy Kakashi avatar lol, hey, he's actually incredibly handsome underneath the mask if you remember the big reveal.

Yeah, Thorgil was really something else and the last 2 episodes have been riveting. I feel it has truly earned its 9 score from me now. It's started to equal Season 1's level of greatness. It will be interesting to see what happens when over a 100 men turn up at Ketil's farm. I think if Thorfinn can tap into the warrior he once was, and joins Ketil's side and Thorgil, and Snake and some of his guys are there as well, then there's a chance for them to win. It was nice to see Leif Erikson turn up as well and reconnect with the story, with his continued search for Thorfinn. The two separate and contrasting stories regarding Canute and Thorfinn are coming together now and there's going to be some big dramatic moments no doubt.

And when Momonga/Ainz first started out in Season 1 he seemed magnanimous and honourable. I must say I did enjoy the Season 3 rewatch because that type of cold calculated cruelty is exactly what goes on in the real world every day. I was disappointed the first time I saw it, when I was younger and naïve, but I thought it was rather well executed when I rewatched Season 3 some years later.

I think there's a chance we'll see KonoSuba Season 3 next year. I'll be tuning in to the Megumin spin-off, along with Kimetsu no Yaiba and Dr. Stone from the upcoming season.
