Well I guess i'll try to fill this out a little. I'll start off by saying im a complex person. I don't like being put in a box and I often contradict myself but I accept the contradiction because of my feelings are resolute when I say them.
Now about my profile. Understand something, my profile is incomplete(this includes favorites) and will likely never be up to date. I update it randomly depending on how I feel. I have at least 300 more anime probably that ive seen that I haven't added to my profile. I just don't feel like going through and getting up to date. So I "normally" update according to the current season and randomly update some old stuff when I feel like it. The main reason its incomplete is because theirs been years I simply wasn't visiting the site due to things like me being in college or just life in general stirring me in another direction at the time.
Ratings(Anime): I don't have a chart but I have a set of things I go by. I base it not just on story but things like direction, editing, art, choreography, ost and yes animation. All of it is important to me, not just the story. I put more weight into certain things depending on what type of anime it is. If I just cared about the story, I would just read the manga and never watch anime. If a manga I like gets adapted, im going to have expectations based on the manga. I don't just want it adapted and me be happy with just that. I want it to do justice to the source material. When done right, anime will always beat manga because of the advantage of things like animation and ost. I'am typically not even hard on anime in terms of my scoring but im also not into making excuses for what I deem to be shitty or lazy work. I'am not a "don't ask questions, just consume product" person. I understand the industry has its issues but that isn't my problem to solve.
One last thing on my ratings. Just because I gave one anime a higher score than another in the same genre doesn't mean I think its personally better. I try to keep each anime self contained as much as possible. The score is more of a reflection of the things I mentioned in the other paragraph combined. So you're better off just asking me in the comment section about my thoughts about an anime vs another anime rather than just looking at my score because its probably not going to be a reflection of my stance.
What type of anime I typically like: Psychological, Philosophical, sci-fi, mystery, cyberpunk, dystopian, supernatural.
What type of anime I typically dislike: ecchi/harem. Typically when they're combined. Im like "pick a girl you coward". These shows tend to be too brain dead for me. However theirs exceptions of course. Also, I have a special disdain for the pink hair retard as they tend to be leads and dominate the scenes in which the main male tends to lean towards them while the perfectly good girl who has her stuff together gets left out in the cold. I just want to vomit in disgust when I see this.
