Thats why the war was the perfect opportunity but Sorachi wasted it for shit reasons. There was plenty of unnecessary stuff in SS's first half especially so its not like there wasnt any time Yeah, its fanbase might've been pandered in a way. But luckily, its fanbase does care about the humor and writing in Gintama more than anything, which ensures that Sorachi can come up with whatever plot he wants. Yeah, I'm not that big of a fan of Otae either, but I do understand why she ends up getting more screentime. Sorachi should've had some more races join in the war (alongside the Shinra, Dakiki and Yato), which could've lead to more fights and more characters getting their time to shine. But I guess that would've made the arc feel more cliche than it already is. True, just think that at times the war was hard to take seriously because of it. I get what Sorachi was trying to do but some stuff lacked impact because of it. Like Tama's sad death wasn't really given any time to mourn and instead we get cheap jokes & a whole episode about dicks after that (Prince Hata's bs backstory..I was never a fan of the character and this is easily one of the worst eps of the series). Its mostly because she is Shinpachi's sister and lives in the same district..plot wise she definitely isn't very important and hardly contributes to most serious arcs. Yeah I think that would be too much, just one more fight could have easily been done for Tsukuyo with the enemies we have. In general at least one episode of focus would have been good, I mean we get a whole poop jokes and then a dicks episode but there isn't enough time to give one of the best developed characters anything meaningful to do? Thats bs, like I said overall the first half was definitely flawed for me. Also damm, did you see the scans for the next chapter? This third Part is getting even more interesting |

| Sougo has some shitty deductive reasoning like literally, the part when Kondo showed up washing his pantsu really killed me. This is why i love Gintama so damn much there will always something stupidly funny even in serious situation but yet you 'll get goosebumps everytime the serious part comes on. The new shogun is having a major character development and i'm so glad that Soyo is a forgiving princess. I can't wait for the next season for epic fighting scene, we got some small reunion in the space ship between Zura, Takasugi and Sakamoto meaning something is about to go down. Overall score 10/10, Looking forward for the last season, Gintama will always be in my heart forever ♥ |

| I really must say that this last episode is a perfect wrap up for this first part of the art! Really lovely and intense arc and season I must say! Liked it quite more than any of the previous season. And this time I'm actually looking forwards to see what the next season has to offer, because this one didn't had bullshittery in it and had a proper pacing compared to previous season where it was almost not possible to watch because of it. Either way looking forwards to the next season and I'm glad again to see and hear Wakamoto Norio in it! |

| Great Season! 10/10 once again for Gintama. Pacing wise I think 352 and this one did a good job to make up for 349-351. Even still those episodes were great. Kinda glad I held off on this season so I could binge more of the new season! |

| Man I can feel the feels in Nobunobu's{?} and Lil Princes{?} conversation, just mentioning the previous Shogun is enough to remind me of those deep feels episodes... Finally, Takasugi is finally joining the battle! If him, Katsura, Gintoki and Sakamoto team up again just like when they fought in the Rakuyo arc, then it will only make the next part of this arc even more badass! I am looking forward to the next part, the hype is burning! Wait so after MANY YEARS, the story will explain how Takasugi met Matako and that Feminist/lolicon?! Well, this will be interesting... Though of course, whenever Takasugi is involved, shit will go down and it'll be epic!!! This first half of this arc is disappointing... There's just too much time taken to reintroduce the reappearing characters even for Gintama standards in my opinion. This arc has its share of great moments, but here's hoping for an excellent second part of the arc! |

| Pretty underwhelming season unfortunately: a few good comedic ideas but too much uninteresting action sprinkled with cliché lines issued by fanservicy returning characters. I've always liked the serious arcs of Gintama because they always had believable situations with realistic motivations, but this whole ending feels rushed to the max: Shouyou is an immortal, who is also the bad Tendoshu, Ensho won't stop fighting, Shijuku is somehow related to Hata and now to Elizabeth too. It's the kind of narrative that would be in a non serious arc, except it's not and it keeps jarring against the serious tone. |

| This was a disappointment compared to every other Gintama season, apart from Porori-hen. 6/10. Hopefully the second half is better. |

| This really did feel like a great culmination of a series, similar to something mainstream normie's watch like Endgame. It was a blast to watch, and I am extremely excited to see where the Gorilla takes the remainder of the series from here. 10/10. |
| Only One season left and I will have to say good bye to all long shows like Naruto, Bleach and those only one left is OP. Hopefully last season will be the best one. 8/10 |
| Can't say this season was as strong as some other arcs / seasons (aside from the previous one ofcourse) BUT ... it's still Gintama and still amazing honestly, loved how they kept adding all the characters we've experienced before. That said, it's still a 10/10, I really can't judge this season alone as it's part of this entire Gintama franchise, just like every other season. |

| The first part with the poop and blood trails was hilarious. The whole conversation between Soyo and Nobunobu was very emotional. I love how his character has been developed. Damn Takasugi's entrance was freaking epic!! Both him and Zura in their old Joui outfits looked badass. "The one to destroy this world will be me". They really couldn't have ended this season on a more hyped point. Overall, this season had an almost perfect mix of comedy, action and drama. Some of the action sequences and animation could've been better, but this was definitely better than the previous 2 seasons. Hoping that the final one is even more epic. |

| That poop trail LMAO, it killed me Also, Nobunobu's character progression is insane. And they ended it with a nice cliffhanger. Another great season. The humor are all on point and has a perfect timing. |
| I bet this just me being extremely stupid, but... I can't believe the last shot in the OP visuals was Takasugi all this time XD I mean, I was able to identify all the characters from their sword grips in the ED, but couldn't do the same for the one sword in the OP? Shame on me; so quick to assume it was someone from the Shinsengumi. |

| Another slightly disappointing season, the more at stake there is, the more difficult it is to mesh together comedy and a serious plot, which this season struggled to do big time. The 2nd half of this season was a little better. Also felt a little fan servicey, everybody and their grandma came back this season at the right place, right time. I think Gintama has lost a little bit of it's magic unfortunately. One of the rare anime that got worse with plot progression lol. 7/10. |
| Takasugi's entrance was sooo cool. Now we finally have everyone ready to fight besides Kagura's family. As good as this part was, I wish the next one can balance the comedy and seriousness. A lot of times the jokes fell flat for me and it has felt like that ever since the new studio took over (season 4 was still funny as hell tho) Still better than most things I've watched 8.5/10 |

| Yep, this season was rather full of comedy moment despite the serious tone. While i did laugh and got hyped for a bit, this season is unfortunatly not as good as what i was expecting. Hopefully the second part of this arc is better. |

| Lmao Madao and Hata's part during the broadcast xD and they really started the space war because of that xD Anyway now it's definitely tense with Enshou wanting to explode the whole earth even though his troops is still there, but now Takasugi entered the game it's gonna be even more interesting, only one season left though :o This arc is just perfect so far compared to the previous serious one in my opinion, this one truly feels like how Gintama was with the mix between seriousness and ridiculously hilarious comedy, best season since Gintama° for me. |

| I think they could've finished this within 12 episodes instead of another cour, but oh well. It was alright, the mix between comedy and drama still doesn't really work for me in Gintama. 5/10 |
| With Silver Soul, Gintama is taking a leap and maybe staking its ground as the GASOAT. Gintama may have just surpassed Monogatari for me, not including true battle shounen. Battle of comedy vs ecchi. At this many eps and this season pulling all the threads together, I'm impressed. Might be the best anime series, Gintama could be the one. This is probably my all-time no. 1 now, see how the rest of SS and Final pans out. This battle season is amazing so far, so many great characters, and we're at 350 eps now. A true legend. |

| AHHH the beginning was so badass, Takasugi is finally joining!! That part was really well done and this might be the best episode so far. The part with Kondo and Zenzou was really funny and the serious scenes were just as good, with Nobunobu saying that to Soyo and the whole plan finally starting! Seeing Madao like that feels so good, well at least until he started talking, lol. And now for the best part! Takasugi pushing Katsura's ship so it can get in and asking him about why he's wasting time was so badass, just like everything in that sequence. And I did see that both of them are wearing their old clothes, so I really hope Gintoki does that as well for the 2nd half of this arc. Everything about that ending was just perfect, I'm glad they changed the op and ed again. The way Takasugi said "The one to destroy the world... will be me" gave me chills! I can't wait for the 2nd part. Despite this episode and the majority of the first part, this season wasn't as amazing, although still good. |
