| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Crazy action in the first few minutes with Levi. Other than that everything went way too fast compared to the manga in my humble opinion. Events being re-arranged is one thing, but cutting important world-building elements like the deplorable situation of the Trost district among other things is something else entirely. Even the big reveals in this episode fall flat due to a complete lack of proper build up. Hopefully the next few episodes will slow things down. |

I second that ^ There are way too many problems with the pacing of this season. It seems they just want to rush trough it and get to the next arc as fast as they can. But this totally kills the world building as even the important turns can't hit big enough :/ |

| People already said it, but that Levi chasing scene was glorious indeed. So beautiful. Jean hesitated and thus Armin of all people had to become a murderer. I wanna see Eren transform and fuck those thugs up so badly now >:3 |
| Eren and Historia were kidnapped! I thought Jean was dead for a moment, but the guy is stupid, he didn't pull the trigger when he had the chance and Armin had to do it. |

| I believe that Eren was only kidnapped two times in the whole series. One when Riener took him in season 2 And another one season 3. In season 1 he was never kidnapped. The female titan tried but she failed. |

| The scene with Levi is definitely one of the many reasons this is my favorite show. Those scenes can only be made if the staff is wanting this for be one of the best series nowadays, and you can bet they're nailing it. But the pacing of this episode actually conserned me for a little bit. I know it's suposed to be fast paced, but I had a strong felling they were cutting to much stuff. Since I'm not a manga reader anymore, I don't know exactly what did they change for this episode, but I fell it would be better if they just explain more some things. But I was glad that the preview revealed that the next episode would be focusing on backstory (something that I never felt on this series, but this season is definitelly nailing it on making the viewer wanting to know more about the characters). As for the ending, well... It's perfect. While the op must be focusing on what the season will be about, the ending is about making the viewer miss the show, creating a nostalgic feeling. And that's why the ending is so much better than the opening. But of course, the fact that is Linked Horizon already makes this ending so much better. Not a single band have topped their quality, specially when you are talking about their chorus, when they intensifie every feeling you're having while listening to the song. |

| OMG! This episode was so good! So much action scenes and all of them were so fluid, the production of this season is 10/10. For real, gotta hate this, instead of telling us answers they do the opposite and make us know even less things xD What Hange meant when she said that Eren will get eaten??? Whaaaaaaaaat Historia is the real successor to the royal throne, but I don’t know much about it yet and I hope I will know in this season. Ok, Levi….c’mon, how can you be this badass?!?!? Omg! This episode was crazy! It’s impossible to not love this guy! He is so badass that it’s crazy xD |

I love how Kenny keeps calling Levi midget and chibi lol Levi isn’t even reacting to the insults regarding his height. That poor bartender. That was pretty funny though. Poor guy even welcomed Levi and Kenny into his establishment. Too bad they didn’t show Armin killing that guy, I thought they would be more graphic considering in the last episode, Nifa’s fucking head got blown off. That guy’s design was so nice too with his brown ponytail and all. Too bad he only existed for Armin to kill off. :( I know this season will focus on character development. We can see how much Armin and others are coming to terms with murder, betrayal, etc. Love how Hange and Levi are great in manipulating people. The way she and Levi tortured Djel Sannes and how they played mind games with him to get him to admit that the Reiss family was the true royal family. I love every scene with Kenny in it. The part where he slit Dimo Reeves’ throat was awful but I liked it. Historia meets her father at last. I really liked the ED, it’s definitely much better than the OP song. The visuals, song, everything really fit this season’s theme. Loved how it focused more on Historia. |

| Jesus christ that animation. I remember 5 years ago when I was thinking I can't wait for this scene to be animated. Wow! That Jean "death" scene was adapted so amazingly, especially with the POV of blood splatter. I don't think they could've done it better than that. I'm so impressed with this adaptation from that to the little things like how Reeves eyes dimmed as he died. 2 big reveals in this episode: Historia is royalty, and Levi's surname is Ackerman :O |

| That fucking animation with Levi tho. WIT delivers once again! It was great how Levi outsmarted Kenny's men, but they still got away with Eren and Historia :/ Historia is a princess, eh? With this show, it's one surprise after another! I like the ED, it's really good. I like both the OP and ED for this season actually. They're both great. |

| Cool chase scene. Kenny has proved to be a really cool character thus far. But, then... holy shit! Armin, you're a killer now! :O The days of your innocent youth are over! I kind of like this development for his character, seems like an intriguing direction to take things. Btw, is it just me, or were they pronouncing Levi's name differently in season 1 & 2? I seem to recall them saying "revi" before (like the Black Lagoon character), but now they're saying "rivai" (like the jeans company). Or maybe I'm just going crazy and it's always been pronounced the second way. Anyway, I haven't read the manga, so I don't know how it compares, but... the pacing seems good to me. Not sure what everyone is complaining about. Also, the OP may have been disappointing, but at least the ED is good. |

| Holy shit that animation was top notch only compain I have is why the hell did the lights dim for some reason like my screen just litterally went darker and this is something I notice in other anime shows too, what's up with that? Anyway, now I know why these military mofos think so highly of themselves cause unlike the scouts who fight outside threats like the titans, these fuckers are protecting the "peace" inside the walls albeit through deception and murder. People are starting to hate the government and some wiseass starts planning for a protest or a coup? Call the military police to silence them. Someone invents some scientific shit that might cause trouble in the future? = military police. Someone's digging through closely guarded government secrets? You know it = military fucking police. I agree with their goal but their ways are fucked up. Also, I'm so glad that things are moving faster than I thought or maybe I'm just so jaded with very slow paced shows that you wait every week only to see a 5 minute scene stretched into an episode with stupid fucking weekly recaps and shit. Looking at you One Piece. |

| The ED is very nice, mainly because of that transition from a cheerful kind of music to an upbeat and exciting one, Sasageyo! DAMN!!! Hell yeah! Levi badass action level in this level is insanely high! And those highly detailed and fast-paced animations are always freaking amazing to see! Armin is braver than Jean confirmed? He did kill because Jean was about to be killed, but just pulling the trigger is hard enough. Hange's words are fulfilled, that interior soldier is now being tortured as she said would be. In the end, it only takes the words of his own comrade to make him submit. Historia reunion with her father... Hmmnn... |

The fighting scenes are good also, but I don't like that it is going to be fight humans vs humans? but at least I hope they will finally get to that stupid home of Eren and Mikasa! I mean wtf they could check it many times already... about the ED song. it is better than season 2 but i guess season 1 had best ED |

| LEVI ACKERMAN?!?!?!?!!! NANI????????? WHAT'S HIS RELATIONSHIP TO MIKASA?! DUFUQQQQQQQ. He was EXTRAORDINARY when Kenny and the military were hunting him, btw. As expected of Levi heichou. Absolutely. Godly. I got mad at Jean for hesitating, but that girl hesitated too :( Kindness and mercy will get you killed though :((( Hange and Levi are undoubtedly SO GOOD at manipulating that torturer to talk. Making his comrade reading off a script to get him to break down mentally, thinking he's the last one standing and never had their trust in the first place so there was no point in holding his ground anymore. Shit. |

| made a fatal mistake and accidentally clicked on episode 48 instead of 38..spent an episode wondering why it skipped so much from the manga lool. glad to see kenny being animated, i like him despite his morals and what he does. they found the perfect va for kenny, pretty much what i heard when reading the manga. loving myself some historia <3 |

| Omg the animation especially at the Levi scene was just crazy. They get such a good voice actor for Kenny. Must be hard for Armin and the others now that they have to kill other humans. Can't blame them for that. Levi looked like someone of Hostile when they showed how he tortured Sannes. So much new things happened. It's crazy that Historia is the heiress apparent. I don't really know what Hange meant by Eren is about to get eaten. |

| The ODM action was undeniably gorgeous but it's rather hard to keep up with the very fast pace of the scenes; It's awesome though! I'm very surprised that Levi was practically a pile of bones back at his childhood. Armin has trouble dealing with the fact that they are outlaws who kill their fellowmen now, no matter the circumstances because murder's murder. I felt a little bad seeing Sannes' will to stay loyal to the king break when he saw his partner giving up so quickly. Reeves got killed quick, tragic. I like how Sannes referenced Erwin's dad, Armin's parents, and Historia's mom just to taunt Hange. I liked the ED because it's a mix of both the opening and ending of season 2. Starting to like the OP now too~ |

| Woah LEVI OP!!! I love the action scene! So good! But it's frustrating, because, AGAIN!!! Eren got captured again! So many characters killed again ;( Eren as MC makes me frustrating. Mikasa is more likable MC or Levi . |
