Iroha looks good in almost all hairstyles :o

Ishino got some screen time this episode but she's not as nice as Iroha to Tsutsui. The two have quite an amusing character chemistry imo so far though lol. Iroha isn't pleased to see him getting a haircut from her and it's not something I find surprising.

Tsutsui still has a lot to learn about relationships but I think he may be coming along.

It got a bit awkward with Tsutsui and Iroha. He still needs to learn more about being in a relationship, but eventually he will. It was nice of Iroha to defend Ishino from her awful boyfriend. It's a good thing she broke up with him. Things are going well.

Dat moment when the 2D waifu is getting jealous >_>

Ishino should definitely start to value herself a bit more, but I guess that with everyones help she's at least on the right track.

Still enjoying this show very much.

Fine episode. I like Iroha enough to make me kinda like this show but still, I'm not really caring for it enough.

Glad atleast Ishino got some friends.

Oh dear lord... The visuals are beginning to melt. The MC is still a creep, doing stuff directed (the pictures, the fantasizing) at real girl that only we can see and she still is in love with him. I feel like the perfect elevator pitch for this series would be: ”for teenage girls who want to date a creepy nerd but who can also connect with you on an Emotional Level not like other jerks”

Hmm being forced to choose between a anime girl and a real girl. Trying to balance out your friends with your girl is always a hard thing. Though asking a classmate that detests you for love advice was an unusual choice it did allow him to form a friendship with Ishino though. Iroha's desire to not make friends though sure contradicts with her actions though. Hikari's idea of holding a picnic to calm Ishino though was surprising. A slow paced episode that continues Hikari and Iroha's journey to understand what a romantic relationship is. Nice to see Hikari is starting to gradually change.

Tsutsui just went from 'what is cooking?' to becoming a fking master pastry chef over the course of one episode, LOL.

Overall, I'm still pretty lukewarm on this series as a whole, but I guess we're slowly starting to get somewhere at least.

well, this is a good episode. Tsuitsui got himself a new friend, just like he said, all he got in highschool is just 2 people, his otaku friend and his girlfriend, Tsuitsui sure surrounded by a weird bunch of people.

i don’t know whether Tsuitsui is a fast learner, or just a chef in disguise, because that’s one a hell of a sweet right there, but it’s nice to see Tsuitsui taking initiative to calm things up

may Tsuitsui road to becoming a normie goes smoothly, but judging the next chapter, next episode will be very very bad for him.

Okay first of all.....a banana peel? Really? Wooooooooow! XD That nonsense aside we got a new character, Arisa. She was kinda a bitch at first, but warmed up to our group who managed to save her from a scumbag only interested in using her for her money. That was kinda sweet. And speaking of sweets....what the hell Tsutsui! He better open up a sweets shop or something with those skills! XD

Hard to tell. The pacing seems fine and there’s a possible place I do see being the end in 12 episodes. Since there’s 48 chapters, they either have to rush it extremely fast, or skip a lot of content. I don’t think it’ll be a full adapatation but we’ll see what happens.

When bae says that she likes guys who cook.

Loved this episode, I also liked Ishino's character, that guy deserved Iroha's bag attack after being just evil to her even if she liked him a lot.

Man I want a guy that learns how to bake when I say I like a cooking show, Iroha's living the dream here lmao.

Hmm, how to say it.. it was good for the friendship part and Ishino is a great girl (well fit into harem I guess) but one honestly has to hate all those stupid tropes (the prick boyfriend was the worst).
Even worse, they are self-conscious about the difference between 2D and 3D but their dialogues are so cliche it hurts, noone would probably act like this in the real life. If this is a comedy they should add better humour otherwise this is pretty weak shoujo anime. Her potential death doesn't make this instantly good series.

Also, 48 chapters is perfectly doable. They would have to rush and skip some no really imporant things but if the manga is over there is no reason to stop half-way through. And from this episode it was obvious they are trying to put as much content as they can into one episode.

"Mal critics" being hypocritical as always.I guess seeing Character Development in a Shoujo blew their minds.

It's like tsu is gonna unintentionally build a harem at this rate. But the new girl is meaningfully someone he can turn to for advice.I wish it wasn't just too much about him being the flawed one,and more on Iroha, though the effort to show that is still there.

This show has been the biggest surprise of the season for me. It gives that old school romanticism vibes and I really like it so far. In the first episode, I didn't like the girl because of how slutty she is. But, apparently, that was because nobody really cared about her and she was not actually a total bitch. She doesn't sleep with anyone without feelings, she only kisses them lol. That is also not good but whatever. Still, a good light-hearted romance series to this point.

Also, one more thing... I hate this kind of passive MCs and I think a lot of Japanese guys tend to be timid like Tsutsui.

The content becomes more and more egregious with every passing week.

Rather, it's constantly declining to the point that it forces you to notice mid-episode that it got worse than it was 5 minutes ago. I thought the forced pseudo-drama provoked by cheaply written insecurities would be the lowest point of the episode, but they managed to squeeze in a fun-sized story about the new character that was executed in an even sloppier fashion than the former.

It's almost impressive, really.

This is very cute and sweet and I like it more with each episode! Still not sure which is my favorite of the three fluffy romances of the season, but from a first glance at the synopsis for this one, I didn't even think it would be a contender, so this is a pleasant surprise :)

Literally introduced a side-character by having them slip on a banana peel. Everything about this show is so bad that it's becoming an unintentional satire. The worst part is that this show isn't even tagged as a comedy. It's supposed to be taking this seriously, but it's just so cringey and dumb that it only really has value as a comedy.

Yep. It's garbage alright. Luckily as a hardcore romance fan I'm the type to slurp this sewage right up.

At least we know that Tsuttsun is just a noob in romance and social, but he's actually kind-hearted (and multi-talented like a god !)

Ahh, here we go the girl with a lipstick in the Opening. There's lack of background about her, I mean there's no way she can that close by just slipped on banana's peel.

I love when iroha hit that guy with a bag. as a man, I support what she does (Yeah, your girlfriend is not your piggy bank !). By Ishino joined the circle, NTR smell is getting stronger. But it would be better if she ended with Ito.

Great episode, but once again (and, I've decided, for the last time) it was ridiculously rushed: in the space of one episode, we got introduced to Ishino, she made friends with Tsutsui, revealed she has a boyfriend and then found out that boyfriend was a twat and broke up with him. That could have easily spanned a couple of episodes, but instead it was rushed and some of the impact lost as a result.

Still, the show is going in a good direction despite this, so I'm just going to accept the quick pacing as par for the course from here on out.

But so far the anime wasn't rushed at all. At least compared to original manga, we are like in chapter 6 or 7 right now. I call it bad writing in the source material and the adaptation couldn't probably do anything with this anyway.

The real problem here is that somewhere along the lines the author thought it would be great idea to advance the story so fast, not leaving any space for new characters and informations to sink in, and going for resolutions right away. For whatever reason it was her deliberate choice. But that's certainly not how you create good characters people care about in the long run. Rushed developement like this is probably on par with trope of killing a character we had no relation to in the very first chapter of manga, feels like all plot hooks were wasted.

You simply don't introduce a character, create some conflict and then resolve it right away - that's just cheap writing. That way you ultimately waste the potential of the conflict while you could take your time to let it settle in and come back a lot stronger later on.

If you want an anime of this season that does those things right, not rushing anywhere, carefully building characters, try Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai for example. It may not be the best rabukome out there but at least it subtly introduces new hints and hooks about its characters and their past in each episode and in effect it develops them pretty naturally.

There aren't many characters in the first place, and this is not the last time you will see the new girl.

It's a bit dishonest to say that a girl was a wasted character in the third episode.

If the rumors about Iroha are all mistakes, why she used to go around kissing any guy who approached her without even thinking?

Few of those guys probably had girlfriends, so they are not all wrong thinking about her as bitch and defaming her.
