THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Another very talky episode with a mysterious case.

The antagonists(?) in this show gives me the creeps in particular that demon with the 666 mark.
Between the two main protagonists, I'm starting to like Robert more. He's quite wish for someone his age. I have to admit though, the ending is pretty freaky.

wait, the mystery isnt ended there?
Im afraid that they just dump the riddle over and over it would not solve the mystery at all.

Hiraga and Robert solved one mystery after another and are still being presented with other mysteries.

That ending with the skull face person scared the shit out of me...

The exorcism was creepy. The poor guy was treated like a plaything. That jump scare at the end spooked me. Looks like someone is trying to stop them. More pieces of the mystery are falling in together and making more sense.

Damn, that jump scare at the end got me.
I think this episode did a better job of piecing together the story that the previous 2 episodes.

But the amount of time that's being used up for each case might be too long.

That's some Kindaiichi-esque deductions coming from this episode.
Love the direction where this is going, though it still doesn't explain the slutty nuns nor the miraculous virgin conceptions....
Exciting stuff here.

Looking forward to the big reveal next week.

I'm really excited about the series. It still meets my expectations. The end was spooky indeed. Can't wait to see what happens next. The main characters are in fact likeable (Hiraga is my favourite), although not without flaws. The plotline feels rushed, but still enjoyable.

And damn, I really jumped and very nearly dropped the tablet when that skull guy popped out of thin air.

A lot of revelations this episode. Satanist Nazis? Hell yeah!
Also looks like this arc may end in either the next episode or the one after, which is good, because I don't want this arc to take the entire series.

So Carlos isn't being posses, he's just on meth, and probably being sexually abuse by abuse by Fr.Klaus.

Ok, so what is wrong with this setting?

1. If it is set in Mexico, then why would some priest or characters there don't have any Spanish names?
2. Mexico did declared ww2 on Germany, but they never participated.
3. The Exorcism should be in Latin.
4. Mexico has a hot weather , it never had any places where the temp would be cold except in Oxaca.
5. Do you know that Churches there were officially declared as Government property so , it would be impossible for that place to have trillions of dollars in it's bank acct, in fact Churches there were heavily taxed by the Mexican Government.
6. There are hardly any Demon Worshipping in Mexico, most cults were into Santaria or Voodoo.

Continuing the part of tricky fate of twist beneath History of the church about Michael Brown and The Nazis

Prolong that in such dire mere stimulating plot like Exorcism doesn't imply on every turn but on my based theory "Someone other than the church are monstrous devil in disguise".
What kind of church selling some weird drugs. But the background became a little too bland.

More infodump :

>about patient from the mental
>A guy floating in mid air? more like he got strangled by an unknown man beside the cross. (That's explain about the stigmata on his hand)

The Ending THO.. Screw you JUMPSCARE...!! You got me

"Who would've thought a Catholic priest would make a student his plaything."

Gee, Roberto, I most certainly wouldn't expect that, it's preposterous to think that such upstanding, noble priests would do such a thing......

Anyway, the pacing in this episode felt very fast, but there were some interesting revelations, like the potential Nazi conspiracy. Also, that Mary scene was creepy as fuck, and that jump scare at the end....it didn't make me shit my pants, but I was startled, please don't fuck with us like that again.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Paedophile priests, UFO stories, Nazi priests, Vatican insider trading, demon worshiping, virgin pregnancies, crying statues, schizophrenia, mummies.... there's so many things going on at this point, I'm no longer surprised if that church is an interdimensional spaceship brought to Earth by an alternate universe's Benito Mussolini...

i actually really want to like this show, but this episode kind of lost me. it feels like they're just jumping from one major development to another as fast as possible just to see how many wacky underlying plots they can fit into a single episode. it's getting to the point where i'm starting to enjoy it as a comedy rather than an actual mystery simply because of how ridiculous everything is.

Interesting thingy:
The Vatican has a big archive with all sort of knowledge that scholars have VERY limited access to, they can only request stuff of subjects they know of which means you can only research what is available to the public... think of all the hidden secrets...
Another interesting part is that everything after 1939 is completely forbidden.

Hmm given whats happened so far i guess looking in the principals room is the only course of action left if they want to solve this increasingly complex case. Wow to think that the church mummified Michael and left him in a state that was like before his death. The devils book eh. Appropriate name for a book written by the devil though. Trust churches to have draws with hidden compartments in it. To think they will find the other half of the tally there of all places though. So Lauren was a man and a information specialist eh. So now they're looking for a mysterious client thats on the churches bank list eh. So a priest thats specialty is genetic research eh. Man this guy looks menacing. Wow a devil possession now thats unexpected. It seems that the warnings about the devil waiting for them was accurate. The exorcist scene though was pretty cool and something that certainly belongs to the pairs line of work. So Carlo's was simply overdosed on a stimulant eh. So Klaus was the evil one that liked kids eh. Sick bastard. You can add abuse to the long list of crimes that this church is guilty off eh. A nice analogy to the catholic church here lol. Four murders and evidence of devil worship on top of sexual abuse as well man this church sure is a sinful place. Hmm so the guard can only see things that are moving eh. So basicly even if the killer was there as long as he wasn't moving James can't see him.

To think that Mario wasn't actually floating but being strangled by someone. And bleeding from your body because of fear of death eh. Deranged woman check. So it seems that this conspiracy is getting larger by the minute. So the woman suffered trauma because of her baby and saw the doll as it after the baby died eh. Hmm Lord Janus was the god of gates eh. He looks exactly like the devil beast as well. Nice to see that Roberto isn't willing to let Hiraga continue this investigation on his own. Wow linking this to the Nazi's as well. The catholic church and the Nazi's eh. A hell of a connection actually. But both were evil beyond measure. This case sure is proving to be pretty challenging though. To think that we can add corruption to the list of crimes as well. The Nazi's, The church and now this mysterious company as well. Man what an interesting case. And the killer finally shows himself in a skull mask and a cloak no less. That was a surprising end though.

This was the creepiest episode of an anime that I've seen in a long time lol

Really liking the direction this series is taking and I'm loving how much detail that it's going into the mystery aspects of this show....All of the revelations in this were disturbing yet fascinating at the same time

And it's hard to not be interested in seeing what's going to happen next after all of these reveals and that ending

I wasn't expecting Mario to be strangled, but it makes sense since people don't float that easily.

I feel bad for Carlos, but this does explain why Father Klaus was killed. Everyone who died committed a sin.
- rape
- premarital sex
- ....I forget who the other person killed was, but there's a reason there too.

Now we just need to know why. I wonder why the two priests didn't realize that the other priest (the one escorting the daughter to the hospital) answered their question with something unrelated. Dolores is missing, but don't forget what you were asking.

I wonder if they'll let the killer off the hook, only because outside of the priest and nun having some late night fun, the others seemed to deserve death.

We went from "Dudes investigate some miracles" to "CSI: Vatican Agents" , Drugs, Pedo Priests, Tons of Money and the Nazis. This anime went 0-10 really fast.

Whoahoho said:

Ok, so what is wrong with this setting?

Answers:
1-Explained: The lead priests are all descendants from former ww2 refugees and other people from Europe. Also, the setting is taking place on an island, so it's more likely a fictional Island near Oaxaca.
2-ok
3-Lazy producers
4,5-Corruption, please, Javier Duarte stole a world of money, would not be weird if the PRI was behind all this.
6-They do exist, we had a few of them killing people in my city, Devil-Worshiping Drug Lords were killing people. This setting is not that bizarre as it seems.

I'm actually thoroughly enjoying this anime so far! Just enough horror to be interesting, and the religious aspect is something s bit different from your regular anime. That jumpscare though; scared the crap out of me.

I do hope they don't kill off Robert though, I was only just starting to get attached to both Hiraga and him. Also the bromance is strong in this ep XD

I look forward to next weeks episode.

1. Not all names in Mexico are Spanish, Japanese names? ok, we are watching anime.
2. Yes Mexico Participated with the 201st Fighter Squadron attached to 58th Fighter Group of USAAF.
3. Agree.
4. Oaxaca haven't a hot Weather except places near the Mountains(Sierra Madre).
5. Churches were heavily taxes in the past just until Cristero War(1929).
6. Parcially agree. Santería have some adepts. But voodoo not, maybe in some little towns in Veracruz, in Cube is practiced much more

Pacing still seems to be all over the place. It seems to fluctuate from fast to very fast, and everything in between, lol. I can see that they're overall rushing things to cram as many stuffs into an episode.

But I'll say that the so far the show is still interesting. I'll continue to watch and see where this rabbit hole goes. x3

The pace is not too fast for me, but it works for me so that too many "amazing discoveries" follow one another. (for example: mummies, exorcism, then again logical explanations, drug trafficking in the Vatican, fleeing Nazis, a "crazy" woman tells "They descended on an ark", The Ark was an airship, etc...).

But still I like the show somehow :)

Schizo woman with doll baby had 2 kids, one like lord Janus. Ceremony miracle conception, but unlike Anna?
ufo=nazi's on Rusburg. Michael mummified. Devil bible, runes, seance using runes.
Drug trade, Vatican stocks, Heinrich...
skullman!
It's a compelling plot with improved directing, but it needs to connect & wrap up so many details.
