I understand, it's the best way to go about it. I'm still kind of torn about Gou, but Sotsu reminds me of what people usually think about Higurashi, that it's a mindless cutesy bloodbath. At this point I can't defend it anymore.
I remember reading your comments on the Higurashi Gou threads, and although I agreed with them sometimes, I often thought "this guy should cut the series some slack, it isn't that bad".
Sotsu is proving you right one-hundred percent so far. We've got 6 episodes of nothing and Wataakashi-hen is a ridiculous arc for Mion, and being a rip-off of Meakashi-hen puts it to absolute shame. As much as I found Tataridamashi grating last season I think we've reached a new low in the anime series.
I don't understand how the show isn't more hyped tbh. I think it's one of the best anime from the past few years and it really deserves more attention than it got.
Btw is the picture in your signature from Hashihime of the old book town? That's a title I've been interested in for some time now. Based on the Steam reviews it seems really good, but I think this is the first time I've bumped into it outside of Steam recommendations, so that's pretty cool.

They definitely were but they're a cultural relic now so overrated might be pushing it nowadays

Also, nice to see a fellow Kazetsuyo appreciator!
