My first animatic (The Promised Neverland manga spoilers!)
Hey, no problem! I haven't heard a single good thing about Physical Chemistry in my life. Godspeed. As for the math aspect of physics, yeah, my brain short-circuits and shuts down when it gets to the complicated stuff, but I've learned to live with it because the rest of the subject can be fun. I'm mostly an experimentalist, so I don't have to deal with the worst of the math myself, thankfully.
I think I'd make a lot more headway on the books/shows I plan to read/watch if I wasn't so distracted by Youtube. I need to try and get out of the scrolling habit somehow.
Hi, I'm trying to start a club for critical and knowledgable anime fans. I came across your account in the "World Masterpiece Theater" club and you seem to fit the bill. The two purposes of the club are to foster community via the club Discord server, and to create a robust poll of the "greatest anime of all time", voted on by members in a thread on the front page of the club. Each member would post their personal top ten list in the thread, titled "Post Your Top Ten", and then eventually I will compile all the lists into a final aggregate. Here's the link to the club if you're interested: https://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=92948
I don't know if I ever shared what I was studying - it's physics! My love for astronomy as a kid got me into it, although I'm currently working on quantum optics and light-matter interaction.
Starting over your Bachelor's sounds hard, but it seems like it'll help you in the long run (maybe land a job in Germany?) so that's good. Are you getting along well with your batch-mates?
The list of things I plan on doing when I'm less busy seems to keep growing as time passes, I don't think I'll ever actually go through it in this lifetime. Alas. In fact, Gravity Falls has been there for ages since a friend recommended it to years ago, but I've only ever watched the first episode. Maybe someday I'll get back to it. Recently I've been watching an anime called Orb: On the Movements of the Earth which is fantastic - it's a great mix of science and character drama that's pretty rare in anime.
I'd love to visit Germany sometime, maybe for a conference or for a post-doc, who knows. I'm glad you're enjoying your life there. I'm a fan of their national football team, so that's an added incentive :)
I know, it's been a while (again). Blame me and my complete neglect of MAL these past few years. In fact, I sent that message to you as a hail mary after I logged in recently, not sure if I'd get a response because it didn't seem like you're active here anymore - but I'm glad to hear from you.
I'm doing good, close to wrapping up my PhD thesis (or it's close to wrapping *me* up - either way I'll be done with it this year). I will be hunting for postdoc opportunities abroad soon.
I just realized, looking at our older messages, that I never finished reading all the LoGH books. I still have a couple unread that I bought years back, and they've been on my mind recently. Maybe I'll pick them up soon. Have you watched/read/played anything good recently?
It does feel surreal, even in this part of the world, so far away from everything. I really don't know what to say. I'm relieved to hear your mum and brother are safe - but why wasn't you dad allowed?
I am so glad to hear you're safe, and I cannot imagine what you must be feeling with your family still in Ukraine. I really, really hope they stay safe and if necessary make it out. My thoughts and prayers are with them and others suffering from this terrible invasion.
Hi Diana, I know it's been absolute ages but reading the news about Ukraine recently couldn't help but make me worried about you. Hope everything is okay.

Hope you have a great day too!
And post your list of the ten best anime of all time here: https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=2208449
