Oh man, this episode gave me more laughs than I had anticipated.

Akko and her animal transformations really lands her into some shenanigans. I mean yeah, being the size of a rat has some advantages but also has a host of troubles coming at her. (lol, I think there's even a bounty on her)

I feel like this episode was like her own little mini adventure. Funny stuff.
Nice to see Andre back. The fight near the end was also rather intense.

Ako got in trouble with Amanda this time but the managed to get out of it somehow.
Then again sneaking into another school is asking for trouble especially a boys school that hates witches.
Andrew proved ones again that he is a nice guy even tho he claims to have a dislike towards Ako his deeds prove otherwise.

Got to see the boy's academy. They really don't like witches. Mouse Akko is just the cutest. She got into some trouble with Amanda. They sneaked into a school to find the Holy Grail. They got caught and Amanda was challenged. She did great. Andrew was nice in this episode.

Oh boy, that's not good. Now Akko is not the one that's in trouble thanks to Amanda's magic trick. Even so, at least Amanda can "redeem" for her fault through that duel.

No words were discovered this week which is fine. I thought this was still a pretty good episode though. When I first got the feeling that Amanda would be a central character this episode I wasn't all that thrilled. Despite my doubts she was actually really entertaining this episode.

I also like how her tomboy personality got to shine this episode as well. She literally beat some guy's ass and defeated a super powered knight. I wasn't a fan of her before but I am now.

Also Akko the Mouse is super adorable. It was awesome that she was in that form for the majority of the episode. I do have to say I do not like the possibility of an Andrew and Akko romance.

Andrew literally looks like a douche with a stick up his ass. Other than that, I suppose he's a swell and admirable guy...I still don't like him though.

Akko has grown on me like crazy, like she's probably one of my favorite MCs in a long time. Also, all aboard the Akko x Andrew ship, toot toot.

Also, I am shipping cross-dressing Amanda with that douchey blonde boy. They'd be a perfect queer couple, just saying...

episode felt really short for some reason, enjoyed it though!

the spooky cubes of Croix continue to cause trouble, if I was Akko i definitely wouldnt shrug them off like "oh must be demon cubes idk" lol... soon enough she'll discover who's behind them, maybe next episode...

Amanda sure is right about never having a boring moment with Akko

Little Witch Academia is now a battle anime, lol.
That duel sequence was pretty awesome there. Was pretty sure there wasn't going to be any Words this time with Croix involved, but wow did she lead them on a wild goose chase there.

Also, they mentioned it at the beginning but..... just what happened with the Cavendesh family? Sounds like somethings up.

I didn't like this episode. I enjoyed the episodic nature of the first 10 or so episodes, but after ep 11 when the plot really started to kick in a i fell in love. this and last weeks episodes however we so lack luster. i knew akko would make the cure all well and fine last week because how could they kill of characters, and even then, there was no suspense to it. and this week i really didnt care for anything that happened.
I think the show is making a turn for the worst. It was at its best when akko was following her ambitions because its what she loved. ever since she was told about the 7 words i feel like its lost some of that. shes doing it for the words and less for the love (which isn't true, of course the words are a means to an end, but the show has lost sight of communicating that).

I just really want that feeling of akko growing into something bigger than herself back. instead its reverted to 'this week on the adventures of old mate akko and co'.
I know trigger can pull this show off to be amazing. Kill La Kill is one of my favourite shows of all time, and this one shows such promise. I just hope the last 7 episodes really amp up the stakes and development.

EDIT: upon closer inspection of my thoughts and feelings what i really want is some more damn student/mentor love with akko and ursula.
Moments like when akko didnt accept the 'easy path' in ep 11 and opted to EARN her power, and when Ursula went god mode to save akko from Croix. Those are 10/10 moments that i need more of.

I thought this was a fine episode, an Akko and Amanda bonding episode, nothing wrong with that, and with no Lotte in the episode, Akko is now the only character to appear in every episode of the series.

Anyway this was a funny but intense episode, I mean those guys in the black masks, it is like the KKK is in this show, though I know that is more of a American thing so I doubt that was what they were gong for, Neo Natzis perhaps. This Louis person and his dad they are worst, and the most irrdeemable characters in the show, and that includes Croax, I think Croax is redeemable, but not these guys.

Mouse Akko is cute, and male Amanda looked awesome. Andrew wasn't a total jerk, he at least does not condom human crimes that Lewis and the others were doing.

And yes the duel, my favorite part, Amanda beats Louis, but Louis to no one surprise has no honor the Holly Grail, but it is really just a demon, and in the end the witches cleanse Louis and the school. And Andrew stepped in and had to nudge Louis to tell the truth, Louis was not going to that on his own, this was not going to be like the end of episode 2 when Diana tried to do the right thing and tell the truth, Louis does not have that type of honor without being forced to.

So this was all just one of Croax experiments. Oh well still a good bonding episode for Akko and Amanda, they have come a long way from episode 5 when they were at each other's throats, heck go back even further episode 3 when Amanda tried to injure Akko with no remorse. We have come so far.

Also like they brought up what was going with the Cavendish family, Akko mention it, I thought that would just be a background thing of us the viewers, but nope they address it.

Anyway okay episode. Akko building up all these friendships, I wonder what that will lead to down the road.

Amanda was pretty awesome. She put Louis in his place during their duel on the bridge and when the suit of armour went against her, she only needed her leyline to transform her weapon and wand into a sword. That transformation had her look almost similar to Kill la Kill's Ryuko Matoi to me personally, so seeing her defeat the armour was even more impressive.

Andrew might have his disagreements with Akko again, but he never hesitated in helping her and Amanda when they needed it. He's becoming more likeable the more he appears. =)

What got my interest was about the Cavendish family being in disarray. It was only mentioned once in this episode, so I presume that it will be touched on again in the future.

This episode makes me wonder why isn't Amanda not given more screen time? She really plays off Akko really well. Also I knew Akko developed in last ep and that she was just joking.

This was a really fun episode. I really like the pairing on Akko and Amanda and how they worked together and interact.

I guess it was an ep dedicated to the development of Akko's relationships with Andrew and Amanda. Also, it just adds more to the illustration of the world they live in. Yeah, it didn't add much to the actual story (except maybbe some subtle stuff like Cavendish stuff), but I guess occasional digression makes the show more enjoyable.

A great example to combine the usefulness with the delightful, even if at the beginning it seemed like the latest self-concluding and interlocutory episode for the main story. The quality of drawings and backgrounds is better than usual, Amanda remains funny in her actions. Who knows what Diana is combining behind the scenes. I do not think she did not realize Croix's teacher, she was building something out of school. Ah! Blessed ignorance of Akko.
I find interesting narrative digressions, but giving a narrative structure different from what we have seen so far, perhaps would make the vision of this series even more interesting. After some time self-concluding episodes, they begin to bore, even though they have their value.

I agree that the character of Akko has lost its source of inspiration to do better in life, but a change in its motivations, albeit at least, must have been there. Speaking of the narrative structure, I also propose a shift towards a set of episodes that are no longer self-concluding.

(Lately my posts have been very long, and that says a lot of good things about this show. Keep it up)
Wow, this episode REALLY delivered. It's nothing much, just Akko and Amanda going to a sausage fe...I MEAN, all boys school and try to snag the "Holy Grail" (Wait, that's real?..OKaayyy) There they meet a dick who has a father, probably a member of FIFA, and apparently accuses ALL small, cute, lovable animals of being familiars and witches, A BUNCH OF MEMBERS OF THE BLACK- HOODED INQUISITIONS(?!?!?) and who else, Andrew. Looking at this episode (And all the forum post above me [Hello!]), it reminds me of Revolutionary Girl Utena and Thundercats (makes sense, Trigger loves their western animation, and I too loved the show as a kid [And sweet mother of Madoka, THAT SCENE!!]).
This time, we don't get a lead on the Word, but we do see Andrew and Akko interact again. In their conversation, we see the two ideals finally clash, one who gave up on dreams and lets the world do the choosing for him, and one who follows her dreams and never lets go (And turns into rats and kills BEES!!!) They are frickin' opposites, yet they have such a good chemistry (Be it romantic or not).
Heck! This form of duality even shows in the duel of Amanda vs.The Dick (That IS an appropriate title, right?) The dick, I think his name was Whiz(?) ( ;P ), fights dirty and will go to any lengths to prove his point, even when he is good at fencing, while Amanda wasn't that good in swordsmanship, yet fought fair. Even when she was against a freaking ARMORED KNIGHT!
And all of this falls right into the laps of Croix's plan.

But can we stop and think about how Dwiz here reacts to EVERY small animals?
sees a small rat
Whiz: FAMILIAR! KILL IT!!!
sees a cat
Dwiz: WITCH!!! BURN HER TO A CRISP!!!
sees a nice old lady
Old lady: Why hello there sonny, care for some fresh-baked..
Jiz: SWAMP DEMON!!! EXECUTE HER!!
Old lady: punkass $#@@#$%^^^%! (Brings out a shotgun)
Sees Mismagius
Louis: ACK! A Wiccan!!!
Mismagius: ......Well, you're not ENTIRELY wrong.

This episode was cringeworthy at best, and full of plot holes. Seriously, not a thing to like in there.

1) Everyone in the rich boy's academy is a villain, how cliché is that??

2) They don't just dislike witches, they actually want to torture and kill them, including the secretary of defense guy. Even though politicians were shown to attend Luna Nova's events before. And we're in 2017 for god's sake!

3) Rich boys in the academy that's all about honor and tradition clearly don't give a damn about either. I can let the cheating at cards slide, but the blond guy cheating with the coin toss and then not accepting defeat was plain stupid. Doesn't he care about what everyone else is gonna think of him??

4) Also, what kind of stupid tradition would have students fight with swords on a narrow bridge between towers? No sane parent would enroll their kids in this kind of school, specially not rich over controlling parents. Not in the middle ages and certainly not in friggin 2017!

5) Why didn't akko transform back before trying to save Amanda? Or at least tried to cast a spell at those guys? She had the techno-magic thing with her, and she could see that those guys were clearly a threat.

6) I get that Andrew thinks that, because he's the heir of an important family, he has to fulfill his parent's expectations and all. But is he really so stupid that he doesn't realize that not everybody is like that? Does he really think everyone should only do what other people want them to? Doesn't he understand the concept of free will at all??

7) As this is a Japanese show I'm assuming Akko and Amanda won't press charges against those guys or their school. I mean, it's not like attempted murder is a crime right? right?

8) Why is this turning into a monster of the week magical girl show? Why now all Akko does is search for these stupid seven Mcguffins? Is this one piece now??? Where's everything that made the movies so enjoyable? Where's the comedy and the fun character interactions?

Hmmm. Shiny Rod is looking for another word. Akko goes to see Ursula, but she is busy helping that old bitch with some crisis involving the Cavendish family. Amanda drags Akko off to find the Holy Grail at Andrew's school. Amanda almost gets the two of them tortured, there is much running around and fighting. The end.

We never find out what Ursula was going to tell Akko, and what is the crisis with Diana's family?
I guess we'll find out next week.

It was a good episode overall with lots of frantic action.

Mm personally the ep wasn't all that fun for me. I enjoyed seeing development with Amanda and also her relationship with Akko, but the whole progression felt unnatural and just forced.

I liked how Andrew and Akko got to have some moments and how they didn't recover a word this ep. I also liked the little moment between Akko and Amanda on the broom as they returned to Luna Nova, really cute and lighthearted banter between good friends is always welcome.

I'm actually sort of conflicted now about Diana's upcoming ep (19 iirc?) because I'm worried about how they'll handle it. I'm excited for Diana growth and her relationship with Akko but at the same time some of the progressions in recent eps have felt really repetitive, and that's not bad all the time, but I feel for LWA it's starting to push it.

I think more than anything I'm too caught up on the original feeling of the original OVAs. It's a different format, with much more content to fill in over a much longer period of time, I may just be watching this TV adaptation with too much of a mindset meant for the shorter OVAs.

Anyhow it wasn't a bad ep, I'm still looking forward to seeing development for Diana.

While I'm not inclined to agree on all these issues, I do have to agree with the majority of points. Especially the last one, I see the structuring for the eps and I wonder every time why Akko has to be involved in some fight with a monster every week now, and I would indeed like to see more of an explanation of the Words rather than having them be vague MacGuffins.
I guess I'm not the only who isn't quite as satisfied with the TV progression compared to the original OVAs

I enjoyed the episode, a lot actually, but there's only so much more I can take of Akko just brushing off important shit like Croix's little boxes floating away or leading her to the "Holy Grail". Like, come on, Akko, are you really this naive?

And why hasn't Chariot warned Akko about Croix yet? The only reason why this episode exists is because Chariot is underestimating Croix. I can't believe it's only obvious to the audience that Croix is shady as shit.

It was a good episode, I'm intrigued by the Cavendish. I know that some do not like the series to have a goal, in my personal to me, I like ... They already did enough in presenting the characters and their world, now to release the plot, it may not be something superior the plot of "The Chosen Girl", but with the style that uses the series, I like and is fun.

And why hasn't Chariot warned Akko about Croix yet? The only reason why this episode exists is because Chariot is underestimating Croix. I can't believe it's only obvious to the audience that Croix is shady as shit.

Although not a good option, I think it is due to not involve both Akko with Croix, because, this conflict is between Chariot and Croix. In part, she might have warned Akko and he would not feel so innocent, though I'm not sure, that would make him doubt more than his purpose, who knows.

Really funny episode today. We got to see more of Amanda, woo. Is it just me or is anyone else having internal struggles whether to ship Diana x Akko or Amanda x Akko?

Anyway, I hope we see more of Croix's plans next week, and we hear about what happened with the Cavendish family.
