| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Heh Kiku with glasses. A fitting episode to conclude the show. There's still a lot of emotions and I kinda like how the story is portrayed all the way up to this point. I'm glad the series returned to the present timeline after that extensive background storytelling though. It shows how certain people change. Also Konatsu has became quite a woman as well. Nice show overall, 9/10. This has been one of my favorites for the season, a truly dark horse. |

| Talk with the boss of the organization and decided to do rakugo and take care of the girl by himself, even if the girl hates him now. Back to present. Yotarou is now the proper rakugo person now. Kobayashi-san's character is pregnant and plans to give birth alone. Yotarou says he wants to inherit the name, which main guy was surprised. The end of ED changed with the present time people. Second season announced (Sukeroku Futatabi-hen)!! |

| After that ending...if a season 2 wasn't announced I would have slapped someone. Like it left so much crap unanswered...and then he dropped the bomb about inheriting the Sukeroku name! Straight awesome! I hope he ends up with Konatsu and he fathers that child with her and maybe have more children. That would be awesome! |

| Absolutely wonderful finale. Seeing Yotaro and Konatsu again....i missed them, they are so quirky. There is soooooo much fucking potential with Yakumo/Yotaro/Konatsu, can't wait to see how they act together after that fkin huge savage moment by Yotaro at the end. He just gives off a huge Sukeroku vibe and Yakumo realises, but doesn't want to embrace it yet. 8/10 |

| I like how this series challenged traditionalism. Thank god for the second season tease. Too much was left unanswered for it to just end now. This was definitely the anime of the season. Episode: 5/5 Series: 8/10 |

| Wait, was that a confirmed season 2 announcement? Well I'll be damned, never thought it'd happen, but wonderful news. Now I don't need to go on that tangent about wishing we saw more of the present! XD Anyway fantastic series, in my Top 3 for the winter season to be sure. This finale ended much too abruptly, but knowing a second season is coming I'm okay with it. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Konatsu, Yotaro, and Kiku. Strong 8/10. |
| This has been a pleasant watch. Rakugo is easily among DEEN's top 5 shows. From the exposition to the characters, animation to the soundtracks; there isn't much to complain about. Looking forward to Yotaro's journey to inherit Sukeroku's name and the little secrets Konatsu is hiding. She really is Miyokichi's daughter. |

| A great series all around. Best of the season hands down and one of the better shows of the last years. Shame they couldn't finish it in one go. I fear for the planned second season. As far as I can see, sales in Japan are not too great. Let's keep our fingers crossed. I got a real bad feeling about the fatherhood of that child, but I'm hoping my twisted take on human psychology is proven wrong. |

| A perfect conclusion to this season. I am glad I started that RAKUGO GREATNESS. Definitely anime of the Winter season. A lot of emotions, great story telling and most of all great seiyuus. After all a big part of why this anime is amazing, is due its stellar seiyuus. Can't wait for the second season. I may as well start the manga. |
| Ah,that scene in which Kiku confronted "Shin-san" by the grave made me all teary eyed And when Yota dropped the "wanna inherit Sukeroku name" omg This was the only thing i watched this season and i have so much love for it. I hope second season starts like tomorrow :'((( |
| Loved it, and a season to is coming? Hell yes! I got a little pissed while watching it, because my mom and dad kept asking me to run favors. So my whole mood was out of rhythm. Thankfully after 6 minutes in the stopped calling my name, sigh. |

| Such an amazing series. 10/10 for me. It's leagues above the rest I watched during Winter Season. Yota-chan so cute and funny as always! And so mature proposing to Konatsu to become the father of her child. Kiku aged really nice ahem The scene with Sukeroku was as powerful as always. And I am so happy with the S2 news. I wanted one so bad, it's a dream coming true. Thank you DEEN. |

| Really happy this is getting a season 2. Didn't see that coming at all! It was a nice final and that scene at the graveyard was touching. But how much time passed between the first and last episodes? Kiku seemed to age a lot? |
| This anime is A LOT more enjoyable than I initially thought after the first episode. A very nice conclusion to the first season. So glad there's going to be a second season! Woooo |

| One of the best anime I had the pleasure of watching. Studio Deen really hit this one out of the park. It's been a while since I've watched a proper Josei Drama and this one came just at the right moment. 9/10 ..a very underrated anime of Winter 2016. |
| Well that's what we call a "to be continued" finale. Luckily they at least have the decency to confirm that said continuation is actually happening Pretty original concept in general for an anime I think. Though I still can't help but feel that the actual rakugo stories themselves are... kind of pointless. I mean they're there for the enjoyment of the performers' audience, not the audience of the anime. If it was just like 2 min performances I wouldn't have minded but oftentimes they have like whole 10 min sessions of it in this show and it kind of felt like a waste of time to me. But at least that made it seem more realistic I guess Also I really fucking hated the ending scene of episode 12 but that's a different matter. As a whole it was still one of the better shows of Winter I'd say. I think the voice acting was probably the strongest point of the series. Will watch S2 whenever it comes around 7/10 |

| This was a really nice ride. Though the story has a somber tone, it's well made and pleasant. Loved the rakugos as well! Kiku-san was a character that somehow clicked with me, many of his scenes hit me in an emotional way and I can understand him. And in the end he always carried those burdens. His friend, his friend's daughter, the name Yakumo, the theatres. But he even formed a good apprentice, his first ever! When the ending rolled I was mad it ended so soon, then season 2 announced!! will be really happy to see more of them, and Konatsu's child. *-* This show was my only pick for the winter, thankfully not a mistake. 9/10. |

| This right here is the Anime of the Season. It was beautifully executed from start to finish. This episode was especially great, with the characters in the present. I was very surprised that Konatsu said she was pregnant. And then Yotaro dropped the "I want to take the Sukeroku name" on us. Again, this was my favorite anime this season by no doubt. I am looking forward to Season 2! |

| Weird ending but the show before was surely great. Didn't expect the pregnancy though. Now I have to wonder who Konatsu's child father is, was it Kiku by any chance? Anyway, can't wait for season 2. 8/10 |
| Don't have much to say about this show other than how fantastic it was. The way they portrayed Rakugo was just way too interesting and entertaining. Glad that we'll get another season. Looking forward to it. 10/10. |

| this was an emotional ride with an atmosphere compeltly unique to its own, the way it followed the characters through their entire lives was an excellent set piece that helped excel this series into greatness. A very high 9/10 |

| A same rotation of life happened unto Yakumo as it is karma for him. Konatsu bears a child without legal father. And it was a big surprising shock as Yotaro wanted to inherit Sukeroku's name. Season 2 on its way. Excellent story blends about Japan's unique artwork culture, Rakugo. |
