Well Yui is a mysterious girl but I feel like she is guilty about something. There's still a mystery vibe going on still...

Really odd ending still. I think this show is beginning to unravel itself.

Well any time loop show has to unravel, the question is whether the writers are good enough to be able to handle the unraveling. So far they have done a great job at it. The repeat of the gym scene was a case in point, they subtlety changed what happened there, but of course in doing so it caused repercussions.

Loved Airi's face through the camera lens, not a person one wants to piss off, she took down the leader by just looking at him, and then they all moved off as if nothing had happened (leaving the mystery club surprised).

Looking forward to how they handle next week, phantom ghost Yui is still there, was wondering if we would have a week or two without her, but I guess Yui's interference is keeping her around. Will be curious to see what this will cause.

For some reason this episode looked like it was cheap. Too much still frames and the animations looked really lagged. I hope I'm not the only one that saw this.

Also was there really a need for that flashback in the beginning?

I'm really looking forward for next episodes.

I want more now! And I still don't understand this low rating.

Yui was able to get Kaori away from that situation so she wouldn't get hurt, but it was Sou that got hurt instead. Looks like there is a real ghost on the roof at the end there.

Hmm... some of the pieces seem to be starting to slowly but surely come together. It seems like Yui can see the future in some way or other, which makes me wonder even more about who she is and where (or when, as could be the case with where this seems to be going) she came from.

It was also interesting to see how the gym scene subtly changed with Yui around. It will be interesting to see what else her actions have an effect on.

Also, what's with the low rating for this on here? It surely can't just be for the bad animation (which even I will admit is quite bad).

First, was it only to me that the MC face looked different?
Second, did the blond guy always spoke in engrish? I don't remember.

Now, that scene was the one from the first episode, hum... does that girl has some kind of death flag.

Not bad. Well I'm glad we are slowly getting some pieces in this puzzle. I wonder how the future will change now that it is Sou that is injured and not Kaori. I can't wait for the next ep now!

I don't know, for me it looked much better than the last 2 episodes, the animation part could be because they didn't trace over 3D models this time. To me, this episode looked better overall.

I feel this mystery going on but at the same time a massive confusion, what is going on with that mysterious girl, who is she and what does she know? It seems like she interacted to prevent an event from happening..

Yui is sure one mysterious girl. I wonder who she is.

Yui was able to stop Kaori from getting hurt. Sou was the one who got hurt instead.

So if i understand this right the accident with Kaori has not happened yet and Furukawa is trying to prevent it from happening?
Tho that doesn't seem to be the only thing she is around for.
This anime certainly keeps me interested.

And that meeting with Airi and Sou was so funny.

"Reminds me of Airi" anyone remember that part? If she's from the future and can predict the future then she's might be Airi's kid (athletic abilities and characteristics inherited). Question would be who'd she get with? Sou I'm guessing since they're both scientists in both episodes 2 (final scenes) and 3 from the future (sneek peek of the future when Yui forecasted the leg injury). And then I'm guessing she's confiding in Nagisa to make sure Kaori's saved since we now know for sure that Kaori's accident didn't happen in this 'present'. Well the idea is gold, the pacing should be slow to make the most out of this, since we don't wanna rush getting to the real idea behind it.

That was the first bearable episode. I was certain I'd end up dropping this week.

The characters are as flat as ever, but at least the plot is starting to go somewhere. The animation didn't seem as horrible this time either.

Yes, and again the animation "lags" are being done on purpose. They are markers that something is happening to the time/space continuum at that time (or will happen).

This show is actually far more subtle than I thought. In episode one Kaori is of course injured during the fight against the martial art clubs, this time she wasn't (because of Furukawa's intervention). Why this is important is because of how Kaori ended up getting killed in the first episode: it was subtle but the reason why she was on the road was because why she was reaching down for her stuffed animal she suffered a bit of a blackout that caused her to step into the road.

So I am thinking that maybe one cannot directly interfere with time, but they can make subtle changes. So Furukawa can not directly save Kaori, but she can try to prevent Kaori from suffering the injury that caused her to fall into the road. This would explain the box scene last episode, because they don't know what caused her to black out.

The numbers are starting to puzzle me, in that they certainly are not days, they skip around too much, I am beginning to think that they are the number of time loops, with Kaori dying in the 12th (per the first episode)

A little fantasy interpretation, know it will not happen, but

Anyway, anyone who thinks that this show has been "boring" or "inconsistent" or whatever hasn't been paying attention because there are so many possibilities.

For instance, the only mention of the Film Club before this episode was in the first episode when Nagisa mentioned that they were her followers and would do anything she told them to do. We also know that Nagisa knows the most about Yui, and has the quantum cube.

Put the pieces together: the reason why the film club pretended to be a ghost was because Yui wanted to discredit the rumor that there really IS a ghost.

Wild Guess.. Don't know if I should put a spoiler tag or not.. just guessing. I didn't play the VN.

Yui is probably the girl in the tube at the beginning of ep 01.. and one of the 2 scientists is most probably Sou.. in a more distant future..

and she is sent back with a mission given by Future Sou and that other scientist to prevent certain events from happening [obviously] .. to find/recreate the "lost future]..

wondering if Yui was created or.. conceived? but she definitely showed some affinity towards Sou and Airi at first.. Airi being the other scientist ? Yui was pointed out to be sounding like Airi too! O.o

and about that ghost.. I doubt i am the only one thinking that it looks like Yui? the long hairs.. and the hat..

Anyway.. since the source is a VN.. we will probably be seeing more than 1 route = more time resets with a "bad" endings.. and the "true" ending by ep 12?

thats just my thoughts..

So has anybody read 11/22/63 by Stephen King? It's a fantastic novel, but one of the key recurring themes about it...or maybe not even theme so much as plot device, is how the past is obdurate. It doesn't like to be changed and there are ramifications to any change. So as I'm watching this episode there's no doubt now that Yui was indeed sent back in time to save Kaori, but as she herself begins to wonder what might the consequences of her actions be? So far they've only been minor with Sou getting some minor injuries, but will they get worse? Will the past let her succeed? This is just a guess but I'm wondering if that "real" ghost might be a form of Kaori or at least somehow related to all this....for a minute it looked like that sub-plot had ended as nothing more than a case fit for Scooby Doo, and I kinda wish it had honestly. :D

The other thing of note here is how much Kaori still comes across as the main character. I've already said I hope she's the one that "wins" by ending up with Sou in the end, but as the childhood friend character she has no real chance. Now I'm beginning to wonder more about that though. To my reading of the episode he still hasn't shown any interest in Yui...I hope it stays that way. Plus even as Airi finally notices Yui it's intercut with a flashback of her meeting Kaori, almost as if the show is trying to make sure we don't forget her. This is apparently based on one of those dating sim vidya games/novels where you could end up with any of the girls so maybe that's why this is going on like this, but would it be too much to hope Sou and Kaori have a happy ending? Only 3 episodes in it's far too early to tell, but we know she dies on the 14th. Last episode occurred over the span of a week, but this week's episode only covered the 7th and 8th. Could they stretch this out over the next 6 days? Or might something else be going on? Something along the lines of Groundhogs Day perhaps? Guess we'll see....

So, I think Yui regained her memories in turn her true purpose and since she remembers stuff from the future, she's trying to help Kaori by preventing her from getting into an accident. My suspicion is that she doesn't know what accident to save her from though so she tries whenever she remembers something will happen.

That ghost scene that Kaori saw, gave me a heart attack haha. Looked like Samara from the Ring (or Ringu for Jap version). The mystery does seem to deepen and part of me thinks that Yui is actually Airi's daughter just based on that comment made by Kaori. It could be nothing though but just a hunch.

Was interesting to see how the gym scene changed and I thought it was funny that they didn't bother wondering how the film society can even scare people on the roof for one lol. Also, seems like we found another person who likes Sou, poor Airi though, she's got no chance if Kaori is there. Good episode all around and looking forward for episode 4!

I knew that amnesia girl would ask for the other girl to keep it a secret, i just called it on the first 6 seconds.

Slow episode again this week, some backstory and characterization, but no noticiable plot progression.

The animation looks slightly better, so does the pacing. Also it seems we got a proper Opening this time, kudos.

This isn't 'bad', but man, Kenny is saving this anime

So we basically confirmed that Yui was sent back to the past to change what happens during the present timeline (Kaori's death, possible other undisclosed events). All of which seem to have some sort of repercussion.

Animation was pretty shit this episode. At least more noticeably worse than the previous 2 episodes. We got a repeat of the gym scene, but no Airi panty flash.

Did Kenny always speak a fucking absurdly retarded amount of really bad Engrish? Or did they just start throwing that in super heavy this episode? Had to start moping the blood out of my ears after this episode because of him.

now that Yui has regained her memories.. i believe she knows exactly what she needs to do/prevent.. the reason why she prevented Kaori from hurting her ankle is because.. MAYBE.. if her ankle was fine.. she may have just picked up her doll and avoided the bus accident..

but anyway.. like in most stories that involve time travel.. most times.. no matter what we try to change in the past.. things seem to revert back to how they originally were.. or worse.. .. just like in CLANNAD After Story [CAS] or .. Little Busters! Refrain [LB!R].. a miracle is needed to actually create a new future.

though we end up facing with quite a dilemma here.. more like an anomaly.. if the future does change.. Yui can't exist in the future.. and can't be sent back.. so.. no one should be there to alter the past.... an anomaly we didn't have in CAS or LB!R .. since no one was sent thru time.
