"Blue Team, pt 1"

This ep reminds me a lot of the earlier eps of the "Africa/Earth" arc of the series. It goes back into telling the story of the ppl living on the continent and the racial and political tensions going on. I still don't know what the hell is going on with Roux. The AEUG and Bright must be reallly, REALLY desperate to put up with all the bullsh*t these pilots give them.

I'm surprised that he hasn't had a seizure already. Every time a new episode starts i expect him to go crazy grab a gun and start shooting them one by one. Trying to run a military ship and instead of military order he gets a freaking nursing school, having to handle over-sentimental illogical teenagers, crazy women and little kids. How the hell can their enemies not destroy them is a miracle or more a reflection that that they must be complete idiots if they can't even win against a ship with such a lousy organization.
Back in the day he was finding Amuro hard to handle, i guess Amuro must seem like an example of obedience with the shit he has to handle now. I bet he will give anything to have that guy back now.

Anyway this episode was from the view that the events weren't jumping like crazy and going too fast and all over the place. Nothing great but a decent episode compared to all the other shit we saw until now.
It seem the series got a little better with the new OP.

Nice Mecha Battles! This Blue Team is really something!

Sometimes, Glemy seems to be a character with a lot of potential. Unfortunately, his encounters with Roux proves the opposite.

series has surprisingly been improving recently. that dude looks and sounds identical to char is fucking uncanny

roux is still an annoying character, i actually feel kind of bad for glemy, the recent events of the series make it seem like he slowly going to become a madman

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Wow, I didn't even notice he sounded like Char. Talk about being slow. I blame Glemy. xD

Anyways, I'm sensing Roux has had a bad romance with a guy (who has a high chance of being dead) and that's why she's acting the way she is. ....I so hope I'm wrong.

I think Bright has given up. Heck, after Amuro, Kamille-tachi, and the beginning of ZZ, I can't blame him not giving a crap anymore. If you can't beat them, join them, right?

Great episode!

Lol so many males going after Roux. I guess she grew up not to trust male. She kinda reminds me of Emma sometimes with a little bit of Reccoa.

Didn't know there would be an underground city like that in the middle of the desert!

Lol, Glemy does look like young Char. That Jinnei guy is such a womanizer XD

I really hope Roux would come back soon!

Wow so we're getting deaths per episode! Awesome!

Can't wait for the next episode!

What the hell is Glemy started to think to compare the original Zeonism and Neo-Zeon? The Zarbis Zeon had already little to do with Deikun since it was imperialist and expansionist while the ideology behind it was to liberate the Earth and help the emigration of the entire population to space. The will to restore the Zabis dynasty can't go with real Zeonism. I don't uunderstand where Haman does wrong as Neo-Zeon leader.

The idea of an african independance movement inside a unified Earth with a weaken government is very good. (and the failed attempt to bound with annother indepantist force) The way it is mixed with this Glemy / Roux story makes the episode annoying.
I suppose she has a gun like any pilot in the show: what's the idea to talk over a glass when she could kill a high-rank Neo-Zeon?

I thought Judau's sudden bursts of powers made an impressive Newtype out of him but his NT sense seems so weak after I saw Ple directing him with her sense.

2.5/5

@St0rmblade You score a point here. Maybe it was just my distaste for Glemy and Roux that was talking here.

Yes, that's strange, it seems like Judau's powers as a newtype awakened just in that occasion and the disappeared again .-.

About the whole episode, I really liked it. It started in a bad way with the blonde guy who helped Roux, but then it got better. Blue Corpse are really cool and the battle between them and the Gundams is really good... They could have won, they were really good. Also I like the display of regional/tribal wars inside the bigger world/space war

And here I thought that Glemy would turn the page on the war thingy but it was just as Roux said he is just so war oriented…

Roux seems to be able to take care of herself, but she needs to get back to the Argama.

The Blue Corps are going to strike again, and they need to be together to beat them.

Glemy was kinda funny in this episode, but on the other hand I'm kinda worried about him.

Good episode and I really like the location.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Another real-life location, good! Glemy suddenly changed his clothes in the desert from green military uniform to his fancy blue stuff?

Really interesting setting for this episode, felt like I'm watching a movie about segregation when I witnessed the underground city :0 But honestly, there's so much detail, even the connection between Tuareg people and blue color!

I gotta admit I really had a laugh when Roux just friendzoned Glemy haha. I agree that their "relationship" feels kinda forced and all, but I'm not exactly annoyed by that, and I don't think that Roux would kill an unarmed man, even if he's an enemy (remember, nobody really did it in UC, there were neutral zones and all that). I think it's good that people aren't antagonizing each other outside of the battlefield, I don't see it as a bad trait. It's humanizing. Plus you gotta take into account that killing peole while fighting inside war machines and killing them with a gun while facing each other is a very different psychological experience, and Roux might very well not be used to that as a pilot. And how was she supposed to shoot a guy when there's such a crowd of people around? Sounds like potential trouble to me.

I'm also really glad that so many battles in ZZ happen on the ground, not in space. Very refreshing after Zeta.

Interesting, there are regional organizations vying for independence from the one world order that is the Federation. It'd make sense if these regional independence groups allied with Zeon during the OYA, as they both had a common enemy in the Feddies. Sadly it seems that these regional independence movements are doomed to fail, as in Unicorn I never once heard of nations on earth that were outside of Feddie rule.

Yooo! I know I said a few episodes ago how I adore tiny references to islam but this episode knocked it out the park with the sound of the Azan and Judau mentioning it being the call to prayer. Still it was abit off, the call to prayer calls everyone to prayer to the mosque not to do sujood there and then (prostrate) but its the rep that counts. I already love this anime lmao not that their was any doubt to begin with
