 Gotta go fast!? I wish Gear would have stated the line however, I really liked his role and just everything about him, even his devotion to Til. I think its a kind of enjoyable start however all the kind of pervy moments just always feel out of place and one was just plain awkward After Gear and Opal have their match she suddenly has that weird thought of him touching all over her...Gear doesnt even seem like the type of character into that. And then all those ". Then theres all those "stick it in" lines. Though imagine a world in which Ninteldo does have like 90% of the Consume...Poor Segua Kingdom. Good luck. |

| Reading the previous posts, was every one watching this going in with low expectations or what? I'll be honest, other than the fanservice and dirty jokes, the first ep was just downright bad. It was like they crammed 4 episodes into 1 and said here you go. Yeah you can disagree with me if you want, say that its a parody so don't go expecting a fantastic plot and characters, whatever. This show just doesn't appeal to me anymore as the synopsis made it out to be, it could've been done so much better even for a parody. |
| GOTTA GO FAST Two minutes into the episode and Til died, best show ever. Also dat Marcus jumping from his green dinosaur into the ship like it was nothing, so awesome. Good start for this, I liked it. |

Well, that episode was actually not bad. I paid too much attention to Nel and Opal. Silly me. But the premise is alright so far imo. I have some high hopes for this series. Now for some obligatory Opal screenshots: Opal ^_^ |

| Pretty awful episode. I Kinda wish this show were sillier with it's references. Instead of laughing, I'm constantly wondering 'was that supposed to be a reference?' I can't figure out who most of these characters are supposed to be parodying. Was that 'stick it in' guy supposed to be Tetris? Who's Opal supposed to be? Was that guy with his tongue out Link? Tails was always dying in early Sonic games -falling into pits, spikes, getting crushed- so it's no surprise that he dies here. The only thing that's kind of intriguing about this first episode is that it's from Sega's perspective. It makes me wonder if they're going to follow the way the console wars played out and have Sega lose in the end, or take the revisionist route and have 'Operation DreamBlast,' or whatever shitty name they use, become a rousing success. Also, was it said who owns the continent to the East or did I just miss that? I wonder if that'll be Sony or something down the line. They could even kidnap "General Fidel Mantasy' from Nintendo. Exciting! /sarcasm The retro gamer in me wants to give it another chance, but this first episode was pretty dreadful. |

I just don't understand them trying to be serious with this premise. It's really the kind of thing made for laughs, and humor is really the kind of redeeming feature they need with such threadbare plot and development. | Generic as hell. Clichéd through and through. Why oh why do they keep on producing such bland shows? (Because people still bother to watch them, of course.) Needless to say, I'll pass. Things moved so freaking fast (no joke involving that Gear fellow intended) that it became unbearably silly. I mean: best friend dies in hazy circumstances, main character has sudden revelation of life purpose, goes to... wherever it might be, defeats a bunch of toy soldiers in a flash (but queenie claims a few minutes passed by!), is made member of the super elite squad or whatever on the spot--all of that in about five minutes. Give me a break (quite literally)! And don't get me started on Gear's and Opal's stupid acquaintance routine or the overused shounen antics. Come on, people! Sure, like any anime fan, I have my weaknesses in the form of these average, ridiculous or fan-servicy series I indulge in despite my intelligence trying to veer me away from them. But this episode was filled to the brim with way too many clichés to overlook. Opal's shapely figure was the only redeeming element of my viewing. Over and out. |
| i think this one episode per season is making them rush things and cram as much as possible into each episode. having said that i still enjoyed it, wish i could read the manga but somehow there are 0 groups scanlating it |

| This episode is just awful, the pace of the story is as fast as Gear(Sonic) without making any logic whatsoever, stupid jokes, clichés, fighting scenes are so so but they are too predictable and not elaborate at all. It seemed they took five or more episodes and stick them in to one. If you want good parody you will have to watch Gintama, this is just bad. |
| As someone who grew up playing SNES and Sega Genesis in the 90s, I got the majority of the references. With that said, it certainly felt things were rushed quite a bit. I want to enjoy this anime but I have low expectation on that. Poor Til (Tails) though, lol. Dying within the first few minutes. |

| Weird as hell.. but strangely interesting. I had no idea the pardoy aspect were the characters themselves.. Until I saw the obvious Mario dude. That mustache... And then I think of Nel.. Phantasy Star is one of my favorite games xD |
| I won't say I understood every references, but regardless, I found the show incredibly boring that I ended up skimming about half of it. Strange though, it seems like a series I would enjoy a lot. Oh, and random girls upper clothing exploding off. That is all. |

Marcus?? I saw a comment post and they said Gears of War. General Alex?? Rames--- I thought it was referencing Ramza from Final Fantasy Tatics but that's Sony. |

| This episode came out of nowhere for me. Though this isn't a deep or complex show, it's still fun and the time flew by. The parodies are funny with Link and Mario particularly giving me the biggest chuckles with their characterizations in this show. Since I'm not expecting too much out of this show the character tropes aren't too annoying such as the tsundere redhead or HiroHiro Pervert. Is this his typecast now? : ( Don't get me wrong he does it well but I want to see him doing different types of characters |
| Ironically Nintendo does make so much more money aka "consume" than Sega. The show does seem rushed, but I can't lie... it is funny as fuck. The tetris parody dude was hilarious. JUST GOTTA STICK IT IN! |

| Just because Gear is a parody of Sonic does not mean they need to shove 3-5 episodes worth of content into 1 episode, i mean holy hell this episode was a rushed mess that just kept jumping forward. |

| Gah...Tetris is waaaay too perverted. O-O; Anyhow.... though I thought the plot synopsis sounded interesting....the "references" go way over the head for me.... And maybe I like Nintendo too much that I'll ever be able to sympathize with 'Sequa' kingdom (Thus I can see most of my enjoyment flying out the window) ^^; Maybe I'll come back when it ends to see how they "conclude this war" but for now...I'm going to shelve this.... |
