How have you been? I haven't noticed how long it's been since we've actually talked.
There is so much to tell you, in terms of what changed in my life, etc. I'm sure it's the same for you rn. Do you have a whatsapp or a phone number you're willing to give? I would prefer that type of conversation then just a block of text.
That would've been awesome if you went, you probably know, but it's huge! there's ton to see, I went two days last year, and all four days around 2013. I'm planning to take more pictures now, and now that I have money, I'll probably spend more :3 I'm planning to buy fanart at artist alley, since I follow a shitload of artist on twitter. I'll send you pics of stuff when I go.
Yup, last Saturday, my friends and I sampled a few shows and found some great ones. Not just sequels but there's some great originals. Megalobox is going to be pure hype, the first episode is a great impression. So far Megalobox, Hinamatsuri, MHA, and Persona 5 are shows I'm following.
I binged Violet Evergarden this weekend, which was pretty damn good. It's melodramatic, and I don't think the story is for everyone, it's a slowburn character driven drama about the aftermath of war.
How was Katsucon? I'm going to Anime Expo this year so I'm hyped! Especially since I got back into anime hard, and so much is coming this year, what do you think of Spring btw? Cause this shit is packed. What shows are you picking up?
Also, what anime did you pick up for the winter? Any favorites, least favorite, disappointing?
Lmao, I don't know much about Super man, but I did see Reddit and Mexico's reaction towards the end, that shit was too funny.
Don't worry about it. I'm busy too, what con did you go to?
You bought 20 volumes of Berserk?! That's crazy! I want to read it already but I'ma be sad AF when I get to the part he stopped...it's just going to be HxH all over again :(
I haven't seen Chihayafuru yet, but you and abhi always recommended it. I should get on it honestly. I haven't watched anime since Devilman :S
Other crazy news got announced though. For example look up Carol and Tuesday. It's a new anime by Watanabe (Champloo, Bebop) and it's going to focus on music and Bones is behind it!
That's cool, and I still have a lot of games to get to. I'm interested in picking up Shadow of the Colossus since I haven't played the original.
Also Hosoda has a new movie coming out this year, so look forward to that.
I main Gotenks, Krillin, and Kid Buu. I like fast short characters, lol. But honestly I'm still trying people out, Hit is definitely the weirdest and most unique one. And yeah, I'm usually better than people at fighting games when I play locally, but I get my ass beat as soon as I get online.
There's some genuinely good things to come out of Digimon. For example, the guy who made Summer Wars directed a Digimon Movie before that follows a similar plotline. There's also the writer of Serial Experiments Lain who directed parts of the show which include really fucked up and adult themes. I don't remember which Digimon this is though.
I like the artwork for Digimon World, but to me Pokemon will always be pretty special and unique to me.
Nice! I do have it on PS4, my friends come to my house weekly so we usually play together locally, none of them have PS4's though so I'm alone when it comes to online :( That's sounds fun as hell though, i didn't know you can 3v3 with 6 ppl, that's cool! What characters do you main?
Digimon > Pokemon? I haven't seen this opinion before, lol. Are you talking about just the games or in general? I haven't looked into the Digimon game? Is it an RPG like Pokemon?
Yeah, I looked into it. It's sad. Damn old people and their out of touch with other cultures!
I hope you're playing FighterZ now, I've been playing it this whole weekend. It's fcking great and my all my friends got into it too. I invited them all over the day it came out and we played for hours. And damn, you should've gotten it on PS4 D:
Most people go into Punpun blind (myself included) and it's probably for the best. There's a lot to talk about, so yeah please do tell me when you get into it.
Haha, I thought of your reaction when I saw the nominations. It's a shame man, Boss Baby and Ferdinand got in there somehow instead of it..Coco was a pretty good movie and that's probably what will win, but just a slight mention to A Silent Voice would probably really help it, and anime movies in general.
I'm already on my second playthrough, I love the idea of being 9S while replaying it.
Good luck with that, and stick with it if it benefits you at the end bro.
YES! Punpun has an official release. Doesn't hurt to read the first few chapters online. I'd recommend it since you don't know anything about the manga.
What movies are you hyped up for this year? And yeah, I agree. The three movies you mentioned also were released in US theaters, so I'm even more excited for upcoming anime films.
Also I beat NieR recently :3 Although when my friend found out I was talking about only ending A, he told me to not not say anything to him until I beat the game again, lol.
Yeah right now I'm mainly watching Boruto, Black Clover, Violet Evergarden, and just trying a bunch here and there to see what I like (since its a new season and all)
Haha, that is really cute. I saw that was posted on r/anime but didn't click it.
Yeah, tons of Slice of Life anime are airing this season, and a lot of them look good. I'm not in the mood for them right now, but it's good to see above average shows coming out from the start. Honestly I'm happy enough with Devilman :)
Also my twitter feed is blowing up with Devilman fanart, which adds to the series imo. It actually felt like an event with all of it coming out at once. We need more of this to happen!
But yeah, i'll let you know how i feel when i start some new shows. I'm still on my manga grind right now, I finished Punpun a week ago, which made it to my favorites. I think you would be really into it.
Devilman Crybaby was fantastic! It was such a fun show, the second half was also super easy to binge, with every episode ending in some kind of cliffhanger. And episode 9 was horrific. I watched it dubbed, but they kept the japanese voice actors for the rapping segments. You should check out when Cacoon freestyles to Miko, they redubbed that and it's very good.
Did you know anything about Devilman before this btw? Cause I've been looking a lot of shit up about Go Nagai and stuff. Shit is interesting, i'm surprised i never heard of him when he inspired so much shit that I'm a fan of now.
Yeah, ive been checking out shows here and there this season. There's a lot of ok shows for me. Like a lot of shows are above average but a lot of slice of life that I'm not really in the mood for. The shows I still haven't checked out that i really want to are Violet Evergarden, Koi wa Ameagari, Darling in the FranXX, and Hakumei to Mikochi. How about you, any new shows?
Yeah it has been haha. I've been alright and busy as well, but yeah still follow anime. I only really watch seasonal stuff tho, I don't really go looking for series I haven't seen these days. What about you?
You're fast dude! I have to wait till monday to meet up with the same friends to finish the series :( It is good though, I love Cacoon! and the whole hip-hop posse. The scene where he freestyles in front of Miko was powerful, my friends and I stood up and clapped, lol. Did you watch it dubbed or subbed?
Also, you're going to be broke if you buy all your manga. Manga is expensive man. And what sucks is when the manga doesn't have an official english translation.

Read Punpun! Don't look too much into it, it's a great manga and it's at my top 3. It's one hell of a manga, and the art is beautiful.
It's fine if you're slow, just enjoy shit at your own pace :)
