| Just watched the BakeNeko arc again today since I got it on DVD (huzzah~!) and it never ceases to amaze me how excellent it is, especially in contrast to the rest of Ayakashi, which isn't bad, but nowhere near as stunningly gorgeous. I would love a second season of Mononoke...and a third after that I'm sure... |
| Elf-like medicine seller guy rocks! I found that the third story is less complex that the other two but none the less entertaining. It makes me want to see more of these characters especially the elf guy and the girl in the yellow kimono. It would be nice to see those two traveling somewhere and to learn more about what he really is. Overall, a nice story, it was like a game of mystical clue. XD |

| Watching this arc is such a treat to the eye. Amazing art style used for this arc along with good characters makes it the best out of the three arcs so far. |

| Watching this detective story unfolding was intense! The way how the rooms in the mansion and their shape are used is really clever. |

| The Bakeneko arc continues to impress. The atmosphere is really well done - there is an actual sense of suspense which was really missing from the first two arcs. And, I do not think I will ever get sick of the visual style. Now, it's on to the conclusion... |

| The best arc had ta be the shortest one... Good thing there's 1-cour's worth of Mononoke greatness waiting for me soon~ That was really tense and it felt like watching Cube like what OP said but even better. They're finally confronting the Cat Demon head-on. I wonder how the sword will take action. The lady's screams were a little annoying. |

| Man, things are getting weird! Fits really well with the aesthetics they are using. We're just inching closer to the finale, and I'm excited to see the final part. When the salt parted I was on the edge of my seat! |
| Man, I love the type of “horror” they are aiming for here, the play on camera shots is really effective and impactful, from humorous to serious. It's painfully obvious that their lord has something to do with that with his nasty smirks, how could he not? Unless there is an unexpected turn at the end, we shall only see the next episode. |
