This was a nice episode for Hiraku, but I can't help but feel sorry for Hayase =/ I always thought she was a much more interesting character and woman than Minmay, although Minmay in this third part is a lot more mature. |

| Culture gags where fun here. as for romance, I somewhat hoped for hikaru to end up with hayasse, but he keeps on thinking about Minmay, this is sad and feels wrong. Thing is he has no idea that Misa loves him, it took me while to realize they are not dating, because they looked like pair to me. Poor Misa, she seems to be at the bad receiving end all the time. |

| Make culture not war... the Zentradi way of life is doomed. Actually that is probably true, since in the middle of the battle the leader's main thought was to look after Laplamiz when her mech was damaged, rather than focus on the fight. Being Hayase is suffering now. You get the feeling that her love interest is treating her like an older sister. |

| I'm getting weary of even talking about how stupid this show has gotten, but seriously, where did they get the giant bottle of drank and pieces of meat? Did they put normal sized objects in a miclone machine and have it somehow create matter for them? Why are the Zentradi so weak? Why are they treating Kamujin like they know all about him? Where are the rest of the oppositional Zentradi? Romance is getting aight. Glad their not favoring the mother figure. Nobody wants that. |
| I think I could enjoy this arc more if I just looked at this arc as a spinoff show with the same characters because every character seems to have lost their development or have had their flaws amplified. Hikaru's irresponsibility and Misa's expressions of her anger/jealousy. If I just look ignore the development that Macross developed in 27 episodes, I can enjoy the show because some elements of what I loved about the show are still there. |

| good thing about the arc is that the Zentradi characters got some nice characterization. The bad thing is that the main human characters however regress quite a bit. I am really considering just skipping all the human interaction scenes for the rest of the remaining episodes. (-_-) |

| Okay, let's forget the fact that the development of the love triangle post-27 is quite stupid... Love is one thing, but seriously, Hikaru is now even a bigger jerk than at th beginning of the series. Not only he regressed to his beginning point, but he sunk even lower. It really is a shame this final 9 episodes exist. I was kinda prepared for a weak final arc, even prepared for a Minmay ending somehow, but the evolution of this has been even worse than I originally thought. Macross has always have a few ridiculous elements, but they were fun ridiculous elements (like culture, cigarette and even the chicken the giants were eating... I wonder were did they get such big chickens... humanity shouldn't have food problems with those around)... the character development right now is plain ridiculous. I mean, this really is a shame, because Macross until episode 27 was fantastic. Had it been just a mediocre series I wouldn't care about this arc, but the fact is that is totally ruining what came before. Again, I just hope that in the future I remember Macross for its first 27 episodes. |

As much as I liked the "culture making" jokes and Minmei's aknowledgement of her real feelings (why are people astonished when it was shown already before the finale nº1), everything else feels wrong. Included Hayase not allowing Hikaru to care for an hostage he frequented. @CodeBlazeFate This is getting worse. XC Hikaru is now even more irresponsible (and not in a good/Tylor way) than in the first episode. 2/5 Ugly faces are back. |

There were a thousand different ways they could have shown Minmay realizing during this arc who she really loves, without regressing the characters to how they were during the first fucking episode, let alone before the 27th episode. |

| At first, I wasn't sure about the want for war being genetically engineered. It makes it seem like you can somehow do the reverse, which lends to forms of conditioning and brainwashing. Natural state of humans be damned, etc etc. However, not only are the Zentraedi of "creating culture" now, but there was actually an interesting argument against Kaifun's complaining. Kravshera explicitly stating that, maybe, he just simply wants to fight? |

| I think I disagree with almost everyone in this topic. Hayase isn't actually into Hikaru, she's just settling for him because the show hasn't shown anyone better. She just wants to be a wife and start a family. Their little ending at episode 27 was them thinking they were the only two surviving humans. Then they skipped 2 years and it showed no progress between them other than Hayase acting like a housewife. Hikaru is and always was into Minmei. Minmei had a thing with Kaifun before she knew of Hikaru's feelings, it would have been pretty unrealistic for her to just dump Kaifun right when Hikaru let his feelings known. Although, 2 years is a pretty long time... I take it back, Minmei is a dumbass and this love triangle wasn't well thought out. |
| The animation of this episode made me lol. What was Kaifun trying to prove? Saying Hayase's plan wasn't the right thing. Hikaru's attitude was regressing. One of the problem of the story is the lack of pilot characters. Hikaru doesn't fit to be a leader. He's the only leader because he's the only character that available (aside from Max). Lmao Minmay gained some little development but still she has no depth. Hayase is the only decent character out of the 4. 4 more to go to finish this shit. |
