And I haven't been convinced yet as to why Shiro is the Commander. Given his age, his character and his not-so-amazing piloting skills, it makes no sense! Three episodes to go. Awaiting a good finale or I'll be cranky. |

Shiro is an officer, that is how it works in the military. The best example can be found in the United States Army Aviation branch. Warrant Officers will spend their lives flying a helicopter and become amazing pilots but they will still be under brand new officers who have just graduated flight school and are young enough to be their child. An officer is a leader first and a pilot second, though it does take some time to get the hang of being a leader which can clearly be seen with Shiro. |
| Great Episode! This series is improving. The blonge guy has shown his true intentions, and I think now thing will start to became serious, with all this Aplasus project. Well, I hope Shiro stops this bullshit of don't killing anyone, because he'll become f*cked up if that happens. |
| I agree with some of you this isn't as great as I heard so far, I have not seen anything spectacular yet. Its still pretty good. |
| It was ok I guess, the scene with Eledore and karen and the Acguy was pretty cool, But what was with the new gundam Shiro had, There wasn't even a explanation how he got it, it was just suddenly there. Maybe it was explained in that Millers report movie. |

| Why are you people complaining so much¿ The series is pretty good. Shiro is definitely not the best Gundam protagonist but he's a cool guy. |

I don't know about Zeta since I haven't watched it yet, but I wouldn't even dare compare 0079's cast and this one (even though I'm very fond of Karen and Eledore). | A decent episode. The most commendable aspect would be the face off between Shiro and the Zeon guys, and I am really glad his resolve did not waver him anymore. "I will not fight for the Federation, I will fight for my friends!" Although it is kind of sad to see them being victims to Ginias' and his ulterior motives. | Good episode. It seems Shiro is still not sure if he's willing to kill Zeon just for the mission, but at least he knows he still has to do it just for the survival of he and his friends. Damn Ginias is one bastard commander. Leaving his comrades, drugging them to finish Apsalus, as well as backstabbing and killing Yuri. Anyways lots of pump up action. Can't wait for the next episode! |
| They are really taking the road of the mad scientist / psychopathic commandant... I know Gihren was never depicted as good but he had qualities while this driven freak has absolutely nothing for him (not even some grim ideology). He even killed the fake Ramba himself. I know I should have felt something but it was near uneffective, Ral's death was a lot more meaningful to me and to the story. Glad the relationship between Eleodore and Karen did not take as much place as the preview was telling. Shiro had a nice moment, but there is simply not enough time left for me to like him as much as Amuro (yes, I like the weeny brat). The others members of the 8th are also good but even with more spotlight on them, I can't begin to like them either, while I naturally grew fond of the White Base crew (and others secondary characters) without even noticing it. I can't understand why people say 0079 was bad character-wise. A little letdown was the disappearance of Kiki who was becoming promising thanks to the previous OAV, She was in every other episode before even when it was useless and she was removed after getting a needed evolution, good way to spoil something. 3/5 edit: thanks to @JGChaves ( https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=65740&show=0#msg47605245) |

Since the engineers didn't have enough replacements parts, they used whatever they could find to repair Shiro's Gundam. The resulting amalgam was so different from it's original form that it needed a new name. |

| I did get quite worried about Eledore and Karen there, I was even thinking someone could get killed. Also it'd be good if Aina did something at last, and I kind of want Kiki to return, she got a nice episode and some presence earlier, the guerillas won't just be dropped, will they? Ginias is just a psychotic scientist obsessed with his project, oh well. Nothing exciting about him aside from his fancy looks. By the way, where did the second Apsalus come from? The first one was pretty much shown to be self-destructed by Aina in ep.7, was there another prototype? |
