Heike is suspicious (reading the comments through the raw), looks always young and always being the #2 since Ace was young and wasn't Ace at all. His feeling was developed through Heike's report and that incident, it seems.

Well, sure, since he is the "ultra-fresh☆young man". Though I don't think the anime will ever cover the real truth behind Heike though...Since seeing how screwed up this anime is, I am starting to have doubt about second season. We'll see in the next two episode though, if Hitomi will really mention about "that" thing.

If anyone is curious why Heike is the way he is, including his youthful appearance, read the manga or feel free to PM me or any manga readers you know asking for it. You can also ask about other things too if you want. :p

Am I the only one who feels strange about the flashback? I mean...

I don't know why there is 2 comments on this episode and this episode was a good one and Hitomi's past looks sad
also how Heike always got the same age?

Guts, known as the Black Swordsman, seeks sanctuary from the demonic forces attracted to him and his woman because of a demonic mark on their necks, and also vengeance against the man who branded him as an unholy sacrifice. Aided only by his titanic strength gained from a harsh childhood lived with mercenaries, a gigantic sword, and an iron prosthetic left hand, Guts must struggle against his bleak destiny, all the while fighting with a rage that might strip him of his humanity.

Ok soooo Hitomi was a really nice guy before and wanted to save any person's life if he could.. I know Eden betrayed him and he wants revenge but killing so many innocent people, who he wanted to protect at all costs before, is unforgivable and makes no sense at all. He didn't even flip out at Heike for basically killing Rui, which he said it himself that he was doing all this to protect the Code:Breakers. No matter how sad his story is, right now he's a psycho.

those children that was always having fun near the bridge got pretty repetitive. I understand that there should be some reason as to why Heike never ages (no one seems to question him either), but seriously, dood, you dont wear the same clothes everyday!!

I'm guessing it's a Lost thing? but i doubt so. Hitomi falling asleep showed a clumsy side of him when he turned Lost. He really did look like he wanted justice for the world. Too bad the betrayal of Eden got to him.

Question, the PM and Eden are technically working together right? or is Eden the organisation that the PM is in charge of? cuz the face of Eden seems to be clouded so much, why not aim for the official Eden head instead? I understand that he might wanna show this public execution as a warning, but he could have gone further into some investigation? o.o

Manga readers, has the anime stayed loyal to the manga content in terms of story progression thus far? cuz i'm guessing that if they did, a second season would continue some loopholes, but if they've veered of course, then this would probably be the only season we're getting.

The anime doesn't present it well so far, but i can see that this story does have potential. so i might probably pick up the manga~

0_0 It all kinda makes sense with Hitomi now. Hopefully things get a lot better in terms of the story.

Well, Hitomi's motive and his way of doing are loyal, and everything else isn't really. Hitomi actually never intend to kidnap Sakura at all in the manga (Sakura was the one who went with him herself, just like how she did at the end of the previous episode). Heike never betray the group until much later as well. And of course, since Yuuki and Rui aren't even supposed to be in this arc...plus Yukihina...so everything about those three in the anime are definitely not loyal. I'd say, in term of story, nothing else is loyal...other than Hitomi's motive and how he bombed the town while counting down to the PM's execution. *shrug*

PS. But why do all the people think Rui is dead? Sure, the anime is cutting down her ability A LOT (who said she can't protect herself while holding the bridge and the car?), but if she really dies, then good bye to second season permanently. Having her prematurely introduced might be a little OK, but having a main character died even before her supposed entry to the story is ridiculous. Not to mention, Rui's PV show a lot more scenes that have yet to be shown, like Rui vs. Yukihina (Hm...WHUT!? D<)

But again, pretty much everything around Rui in the anime had gone crazy, not just her entry. The anime changed her interaction with Heike, changed her past, and now they even have her fight with Yukihina, which never happened, and would probably never happen, if you know her actual relationship with Yukihina.

Heh, this episode reminded me not to mess with Code Breaker unless I expect to get shadow sliced, burned to ashes, electrocuted, crushed by magnesium, blown away by sonic boom, or tied up.

Looks like shit's about to go down next time.

My thoughts exactly. It's funny how so many of us thought that...

OK so Hitomi's motive is a little more clear now, but I still don't see how publicly killing 50,000 people is going to magically stop the code:breakers from dying when their powers go rogue.

Well, at least now I know as to *why* Hitomi's doing what he's doing. Admittedly, that tragic part of his past makes him a tad more interesting as a character. The episode itself was so-so.

Okay, now I do understand Hitomi's betrayal. His reason for not getting the others involved is a good one as well. But why is it that his very reason for becoming a Code:Breaker all of a sudden goes out the window because of something involved with the government. I get it, the whole deal with Code:End is pretty bad, but, taking Hitomi's values into consideration, I don't think it's enough of a reason to put so many innocent people in danger. The only way I'll be able to forgive this detail is if they show a side of him that has lost his sanity as that would be a viable reason to all go against your principles.

Otherwise, nice episode. Some things were cleared up pretty nicely at least.

I agree. But maybe there's more to the past. Plus, I still have this feeling that what happened to Sakura in the past is tied to all of this too. .__.

Hmm, well here's me picking on small (ish) details:

Were they just standing there explaining the past to Sakura or what? All of a sudden, it switched from scenes of the past to Sakura saying "But weren't you going to talk to him [Prime Minister]? Just what happened?" in the present. I don't know, maybe that's a mistake on the producers' side.

Well, either way pretty good ep^^

It's rlly hard to hate Hitomi, even with this evil plan..

all he wants it's to keep his comrades in memory of people

"Men cry not for themselves, but for their comrades." - Crisis Core - Final Fantasy

so i think is pretty undertandable, but oh well for sure there are other ways to do that, just maybe he lost his mind and didn't saw other choice

So Code Breaker is becoming Madoka for boys now. with all those side effects and inevitable harsh fate they'll end up after using too much powers. also this Hitomi-centric episode reminds me of Homura's story in Madoka. there were lots of similarities like how Hitomi used to be the noob till he rose to power and the fact that he, much like Homura, was the only person who knew the bad fate awaiting a CB much like bieng a mahou shoujo under Kyuubey's contract.

It was great to learn more about Hitomi and see what his reasons are for doing all of this. Now I understand what all of the Code:Breakers were talking about when they said it was unbelievable that he would do something like this. Hmm I like this guy and I hope he comes outta this okay but I highly doubt that'll happen.

Lol at Ogami's tsundere head flip.

This. His goal makes sense but his methods don't.

What actually happened when he went to speak to the prime minister?
And why were they focusing on that cross on his neck at the end? Has that got something to do with it?

Yeah, the best episode to now.

Up until now I didn't like Hitomi as a character - his reasoning seemed kinda too shallow to me, but this episode shed light on him better than all the episodes on any other character. Hah, I seem to like him very much at this point, probably almost as much as Toki. And Heike is his comrade since back then... yeah, he's a great character too imo.

Code:End? Oh right, you're powers will go rogue and you'll die by your own power. Sound tragic enough.

Haha me too. I was actually planning to call this the best episode, but the Sakura at the end ruined it a little, still the best episode though!

He obviously still cared for Rui. Watch back when Heike said that he disposed of Rui, look at Hitomi's reaction. He was keeping it all in him.

It's the same concept as "Killing minority for majority's better tomorrow". I don't know, but Hitomi's smiling face is always with a little sadness behind it, he never truly smiled before from the bottom of his heart after he left Eden.

I enjoyed Hitomi's flashback. I wouldn't have a problem if he just wanted to kill the people in charge. He crossed the line when he started bombing random places though. Why kill innocent people? He could easily kill the Prime Minister and anyone else he feels is corrupt.
