Taro's little trip into the forest reminded me of Murakami's 'Kafka On The Shore'.

This is my kind of anime so far. I hope it'll focus more on the characters than on the delusions/dreams.

Really enjoying this anime so far. It's 2:30am and I want to keep watching more, but I really shouldn't..
While Tarou was talking to the psychologist, that thumping sound in the background was really scaring me! XD;

I said I think I'll like this anime. And now I do. Man, they really used sounds nicely. And repetitions, too. I always love those disturbed images like the ones we build when we only remember parts of things. Wanna see more. More.

They balanced things out by showering us info in this epi, and I really appreciate it. Looks like Masayuki's trauma has something to do with water or river or... height.. I don't find him annoying, he's the best source for knowledge right now.

Oh, and I suspect that path behind the shrine to be the gate between the two worlds as the synopsis said. Still don't know where will the direction of the story go, can't speculate too far, but damn this is enjoyable.

Next epi's going to focus on Makoto, hmm? Straight on to it.

PTSD… I’m not sure if I should be humored by their mentioning of this and playing with philosophical aspects of its treatment. Though I really am not informed on how accurate the information in this anime is...

Pretty impressive development I must say, the dark and mysterious tone is still holding strong so let's see what's next!

Emdr therapy does get used for ppl with PTSD.. But it is actually meant at least here for prisoners it is very exhausting and can cause confusion but it does work really good.

Someone in my near environment had this therapy so yeah.. I know about it.

It can also be done by clicking your fingers anyways as long as your focus is elsewhere.

But damn this is a slow anime yet very interesting for sure. Better than the first episode.
I hate the nosy kid already ^^" and im sure the psychologist is up to no good.. Maybe he wants to make him talk and use the info? I dont know..

I really like the calm and mysterious atmosphere so far, it's so captivating makes you almost feel like in trance.

Why are there two threads for this episode?

I liked this more than the first episode. It still has that abstract dream-like feeling going on, but there's more exposition to break up the psychological scenes. The dream Taro had in the forest where his sister turned into a weird alien was also great fun.

Goddamn, I don't know what I like more, the directing or the show itself or the incredible sound directing. One of the best combinations of the two I've seen in a single show.
