Hell yeah, Lupin and Jigen against Mine, one of the best episodes but some unreal action like I remeber it from the old series.

Just what the hell did the owl dude do to Mine in her past???

I wonder if Mine is going to look for some kind of consolation from Goemon next episode.

For a second I thought the girl had the mangekyo sharingan.

Begining of an Episode and No Fujiko instead Lupin and Jigen *gasp* no way was refreshing for once to see those to at the start, lol at Jigen getting pissed and shooting down the whole wall, dont blame em he was getting bamboozled out of his money.

Once again those creepy ass owl show up experimenting or paniting on her, poor fujiko forever tormented by her pass and can not forget, Fujiko was so determined to to get that Painting Girl just shooting away playing bumper car just did not care about anything or anyone, i knew she could be cold hearted but trying to run over an innocent girl come on now guess looking at one self is to much to handle.

By the end of this episode you can see how broken fujiko really is just wanting some control back by any means, Damn those all bastards who did this to her i hope she get some revenge at the end of this or at least some closure.

While the rape at least is almost confirmed, who are all the other owl face guys shown experimenting on Fujiko? Was she really experimented at just like that in the simplest form of it? Or is it to symbolise the people who in some kind of way had control of her live. Count Luis Yew Armeid seems like the guy that hurt her the most, very possible it's her father or someone that aside from "the experiments" was like a part of her family. As for rape case, i would bet on it being true which resulted in Fujiko learning to use her body as ultimate weapon, but i'm not entirely sure on this.

Anyway, the episode was intense. It was great to see most of time composed Fujiko losing it for once, Wonder about what Goemon is going to do now, he'd better somehow help Fujiko snap out of it, go Samurai friendo-san.

Also probably the first episode to not feature any Fujiko boobs?

This was a great episode! Classic Lupin!

Never thought I would see Fujiko as broken as she was near the end. I just wonder what all those owl people were really doing with Fujiko. It seems to be more than just sex slavery, if that's what it is. Looks like Goemon will also play a big part in the next episode.

Great episode ,Poor Fujiko and the paiting girl . It's seems like the anime enter the finale arc . She probably stand up her fear from the Howl guys and maybe get revenge.

The long chase this episode was fun. So they are indeed bringing together the whole gang for this arc. This episode didn't reveal much about Fujiko's past that wasn't shown already in previous episodes, but it did show the effect it has on her. Seeing her weak side was a nice contrast to the rest of the series. Looking forward to the identities of the owl group and their leader, and his relationship to Fujiko and Lupin. Good episode.

I would like to posit a hypothesis that the past couple episode more or less confirm. Mine Fujiko is the playing the part of Mine Fujiko. Let me explain.

The Mine Fujiko we have seen for the first seven episode has been the playful thief that seeks to trick men with her awesome pair and steal valuables. Though we have witnessed Mine being more humanitarian (like when she met 'samurai man'), the past two episodes reveal something contrasting. Our lead character kills people to get her way; she has goals apart from just stealing; she has trouble seducing men, heck even Lupin and Jigen see right through her. Lupin III provides the cherry on the top: "Everything in your life--stealing, eating, and even breathing--has been controlled by others." Mine's reaction confirms that she has been acting the role of Mine Fujiko, probably consciously though debatable, because of the mysterious evil count. The audience finally glimpses the true main character--the girl playing Mine Fujiko.

Now, I could be completely wrong and maybe Mine is just facing her inner demons. But then one begs the question of why Mine is facing her demons only since the past two episodes. Maybe having just come to realize that the count is still tracking her, she wakes up her inner demons. Why then was she so shocked when Lupin III talks about her inner demons? She had the intent of committing suicide and that isn't something that develops just over the span of one episode. Her intent to commit suicide only makes sense if she had been battling her demons for some time, which my hypothesis takes into account.

Hopefully, I am not crazy and the series will end with our main character choosing what role she would like to play for her future: herself, Mine Fujiko or some hybrid.

This episode suddenly sheds a lot of light on the visuals for both the OP and the ED. Mine Fujiko is one beautiful, but very psychologically damaged, woman. I like s2012k1993's analysis and I wonder where the show is going to take Mine and the three male characters in terms of a resolution.

This episode solidifies my suspicion that Mine Fujiko is constantly running away from herself, trying to forget her true self that is damaged and probably the target of her unconscious self-hatred by taking on different personas. The animalistic woman reminds her of herself thus she desperately tries to eliminate her or at least have control over her because that would mean that she were in control over herself.

There was something off about Fujiko's pursuit of the girl from the beginning. The previous episodes had shown that she was not shy to kill but in this case she was acting with a crazed obsession that deviated from her usual cunning and manipulative nature.

It wasn't huge stretch to figure out she wanted her dead because she felt like she was looking into a mirror but i was taken back by the suicide attempt and how shaken to her core she was by the whole ordeal. She really is quite a complex character.

So, yeah, Fujiko's making for a solid lead character. Kind of wondering if this series deserves a "psychological" tag, because it seems to be heading in that direction. Lupin was great this episode, that chase scene reminded me of the original series.

I just can't bring myself to like this show. The action is nice, some of the scenes are humorous and the art is refreshing, but they continuously keep sexually objectifying any women that appear in this show and that puts me off so much. Also, it seems like the show revolves around Lupin more so than Fujiko.

Who are these Owls in the episodes? Why are they haunting Fujiko Mine so much? I really don't get it. Also in this episode it says that we are all scripted by some unknown entity or Fujiko Mine is at least. This show is getting more and more disturbing in a ok way. Fujiko Mine is really a complex character you know? But I love the X-men much more especially Rogue, Gambit & Emma Frost. They are much more complex than Fujiko Mine and many or all anime characters imo.

I can't wait to see more of this show.

Fujiko Mine is either victim of some crazy brainwashing manipulation or is escaping the horrible demons of her past. In any case, they did some nasty stuff to her.

Great episode!

Fujiko in serious mode can really be scary.

Of course, Jigen has always been the master of shooting. For some reason, Lupin was able to deduce Fujiko's past. I wonder how he did it??

I was laughing when Lupin was trolling the hell out of Fujiko. I hope she comes to her senses soon.

This is exactly what I'm thinking since the very beginning. Hopefully this serves some bigger purpose, namely Fujiko breaking out of this cycle, learning to love herself despite her past hardships.

Poor girl... She had everything stolen from her, and was reduced to an object. People trampled all over her being, and she was never seen as a human. It's really sad, the word doesn't even cover it, we can only hope Lupin and Jigen left her in a good place. But Fujiko saw herself in that girl, and she kind of snapped. She couldn't bear to witness someone so powerless, and "pathetic" like that. She was out for her life, while telling herself that she wanted the money, when in fact it was her own life she wanted to end. This is heavy stuff to say the least, those owl-like people certainly trampled all over Fujiko as well, and she is still a prisioner of this.

There are 3 owls. I think..

1. The rapist that has sexual desire or lust for Fujiko.
2. The Peeping Tom/Stalker, the cameras, the wanting to watch all of Fujiko's life from a few episode ago.
3. Potentially her father or parental figure, in some form of twisted love he sort of looks out for Fujiko. I think that cause of that comment from a few episodes ago where he/she wanted to determine if Lupin was "worthy" of her.

Another episode with extreme contrasts of Lupin's slapstick antics and Fujiko's traumas. The series is doing a good job explaining her behaviour in earlier series, though here it's taken much more seriously, presenting her doing evil deeds and being truly messed up.

Now Lupin and Fujiko have a connection that also explains some of their behaviour. Lupin sees through her behaviour even while she's running away. I can imagine how that would create the kind of dynamic that fans of the older series are familiar with.

Fujiko with the worst aim, huh? Makes sense, she was trying to convince herself she could get rid of her pain, fear and rage that was presented as this girl that probably went through something similar as her, a quite sad and terrifying episode.
