You seem to be under a misconception, you state that you can't understand it's popularity because its and isekai and a harem and that somehow males it not good on your mind but have you considered that's what people are watching it for? People don't watch this and then compare it to evangleiion or Akira or Ghibli, they watch it because they're looking for ligth entertainment and then they judge it as such. It's score is based on how well it does what it sets out too. So no it isn't perfect within its genre but it is well above average. Let me give you an analogy to help you understand; Imagine you leave the house to buy two pints of milk, you get to the shop, forget came for and accidentally buy one pint of milk and an apple. Once you return home you realise your mistake, do you know go back to the shop and complain that the apple doesn't compare to that milk? Or do you judge both the apple and the milk as seperate entitys, that are trying to be two different food stuffs and therefore achknolage it's your own fault for buying the wrong thing? If your watching a harem isekai, then judge it on how well it 'harem-iseakis' not on how well it compares to some arbitaty other show. As it's own property, this show has a solid soundtrack, quality art style, passable animations for figths, a fitting if a little unoriginal story and to be fair the characters do have - well - characters(they may not be mind blowing ones but they compentetnyly written). So what's holding in it back in your estimation? It does everything it once to do, with it's only pit falls being the odd bit of weak choreography and some sometimes uninispired plot points so ergo it's 7 or 8 out 10, about average, worth a watch if you like that sort of thing. Unbaisly speaking the production alone is above average and as someone who judges each show from an individual basis, the show achieves each of its goals and aims to an above average degree. Pretty simple really. |

| I really don't understand these type of questions, "Why do people like peanuts and eat onions?". In the end, it is only their taste, their opinions on the matter, their likes and dislikes, the real question here is "why do you even ask that question?" You sure saw it a bit and have your opinion, and no one here is trying to change it, should you really care about "why the other's opinion" that much to create a thread for that? Or were you trying to spread hate for the series? If so, shouldn't the question be "Are there that many people liking this (type of) anime?" It would be easier to identify that as a hate thread, but it would be straight to the point. As for my "taste": It's an Isekai/fantasy (one of the best genres ever created IMO), has good characters, it's appealing to the eye, it's funny, and soo far enjoyable. What's the reason not to like it? |
| For the ones that like to bother others (like me) with "you should read the manga/LN", please stop. I don't read mangas, I will NOT read mangas, I will not listen to what manga readers complain in adaptation to the anime counterpart, I only watch anime except in very few and specific situations. |
